These shrimpanadas are amazingly good! Flaky crust, gooey cheese, and big shrimp chunks. Wow. I'm impressed and it has that homemade love flavor. I will be sharing this with my friends and family. I feel fortunate to live close enough for delivery. Thank you Empanada Mama.

You need to try these empanadas. They are so delicious and the fact that your fry them yourself they are always fresh! They are all so good but the shrimp empanadas are out of this world. Trust me you will not regret ordering from La Empanada Mama... and it will be delivered to your home!

I first saw them via a FB group. I decided to place an order(I have been craving empanadas. Ordering was so simple, and easy. The empanadas were amazing. I got a sample of the arroz con gandules(I will be placing an order for more). Great food, amazing customer service, and a smile during delivery. A++

Perfect empanadas. A glorious celebration of flavor with every bite. These are clearly made with love. I ordered the chicken and shrimp - both were outstanding. The shrimp were my favorite, but mostly because they had such a unique and fantastic flavor. Order these. Right now. You will not be sorry.

    Beef empanadas with avocado crema

Do not get half a dozen. Get a dozen or more! I got half a dozen of beef empanadas and I regretted not getting more. The dough wasn't too thick or thin. It was just perfect! The avocado crema gave just the right amount of heat with the empanadas. It was so delicious! I could have this for breakfast lunch and dinner!

    Cute packaging

And I can't tell you how long it's been since I had fried plantains or tostones. It's more of an east coast delicacy. Only $5 for a side. So much better than fries. Lastly, I had a beef empanada for a few dollars. It was fine. I think I like the Uber bakery empanadas better but there were some things on this menu that I never seen before. I'm definitely gonna have to come back and try. This is the only Puerto Rican food restaurant I know I'm in Long Beach ~ definitely worth a visit!

Before I start my review I just want y'all to know that the first 18 years of my life were spent…read moregrowing up in Puerto Rico so I have certain expectations when it comes to Puerto Rican food. Let me begin by saying that most of the food is super on point. The pernil, tostadas, mayo ketchup, pina drink, and arroz con gandules is delicious and they brought that out really quickly, about 5 or so minutes after we placed our order. The restaurant is small, with limited seating and no real dedicated parking area since it's right off the main road. Staff seemed nice enough. My main complaint came from how long it took for the Pinchos to arrive and the quality of them. It took over 20 minutes from placing an order for them before they came out, which was a bit disappointing. On top of that, the skewers were easily bendable which is not how Pinchos are usually served on. Also, I'm not sure if it was the sauce or the quality of meat, but the Pinchos and the bread included with them were a bit lacking. Also, for our entire meal we spent over $45, which is asking a lot for what you're getting. The other thing that I found concerning was the location. In the 30+ minutes we spent here, we saw a lot of homeless and drug addicted people tweaking on the streets. Many of them almost got hit by cars or the metro train that passes by. It's already bad enough that you have to park far away, but to then have to contend with that while trying to enjoy your meal is something else. I have no doubt that they can easily fix the Pinchos and the bread, but you can't fix the location short of moving elsewhere. If this restaurant was closer to the marina, it would be popping all the time. My only other recommendation is to add Quesitos to the dessert menu.

The crowd, the excitement, and the overall atmosphere made it such a fun viewing party. The DJ really helped elevate the experience and kept the energy going all game long. It truly felt like the place to be for soccer fans. Food-wise, I definitely recommend the chicken quesadilla. Also, the mojitos downstairs were excellent--super refreshing and worth trying! Just note they weren't available at the viewing party on the 3rd floor. Overall, such a great spot for a game-day experience. We'll definitely be back, and next time we want to try more from the full restaurant menu.

Paella was really disappointing. The rice did not have any saffron. The rice color was very pale…read moreyellow that confirms the lack of saffron. The texture of the rice was gummy and seemed warmed over. The amount of meat was nice, but the ratio of chicken to other lamb, sausage, etc, was weak. Overall, it was very disappointing, and for the $44 price tag for a single portion, it's frankly unacceptable. The previous Spanish restaurant at this location (Sevilla) was much better, but this dish reminds me of Sevilla in it's last days... which isn't good. It's why they went out of business. I love a great paella and have been to both Barcelona and Madrid, I've never been to the Sevilla in Costa Mesa or SD, but I'm curious now and need to go. I won't go back to Ole.

Or last night and Buena Park Anahiem area. What a find!!!!…read more We were so happy with this place. Service was amazing place was beautiful. We felt underdressed. Everybody was to the nines in their attire. The hostess was so friendly and welcoming. She sat us on a high table in the outside patio area. We didn't even have reservations but she still managed to make it happen. Our server was great (Migel) as well throughout the whole night he had about like maybe six or eight tables still managed to serve our table in an orderly manner, orders take drink orders and maintain it throughout the whole time we were there for dinner. Food here is so next level... The beautiful cuisine to match, so so delicious. Latin flare is alive and well here they had a live band from Miami. It was a cherry on top. It was PERFECT Definitely will be saving this place for future visits when in the area! Great food, service impeccable, and establishment clean, and well presented.
