Super yummy and fresh food and they are very sweet and hospitable. Great healthy option from all the tacos. We got the quinoa salad which would have been pretty standard without the pesto which set it apart, and the vegan ceviche. Photo of ceviche attached. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is it was super slow and we were one of two groups there. But if you have the time for it do it for sure! read more

A truly healthy restaurant in Sayulita that tastes amazing. The food in Sayulita is really amazing, but if you want a healthy alternative, this is definitely the place. For dinner I had the zucchini pasta with shrimp cooked in white wine in a very tasty tomato sauce. I loved this joint so much that I went a total of four times. I had the poached eggs Esperanza that has tomato and nopal (cactus). They also have super healthy smoothies with superfood ingredients and taste amazing. This is hands down the best place in Sayulita! The food has amazing flavors. It's all very fresh and you don't feel like your belly is heavy afterwards. The kombucha tastes so amazing! By far, our favorite Cafe in all of Sayulita!!! Avocado toast is a MUST! The portion size is HUGE. There's honestly nothing that can compare to how great their food it. We were so sad the last time we went bc they were closed due to the off season. At night they sometimes have live music that's perfect and intimate. We ordered the Unicorn blood drink and it was delish!!!!!!! Everyone that goes to Sayulita has to try this place. If you don't, you're honestly missing out!!! read more

Tasteless food and terrible service. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted at my table and then another 15 minutes to get the water I ordered. The waitress was able to get everyone that sat down after me their drinks. I waited over 45 minutes for a smoothie bowl and toast. I came and ordered before the small breakfast rush. I expected to have a quick breakfast but was very disappointed. Waitress never apologized for the lengthy wait despite me being obviously upset by it; I asked to cancel my order and suddenly my food is ready. The smoothie bowl is tasteless. If you want good breakfast food go to La Rústica. They have great vegan and vegetarian options and the service is amazing. Wish I ate there again instead. read more

Very nice little health-food place that serves both breakfast and lunch. I had the fish burger, which was outstanding! Almond battered fish with fresh vegies and pesto served on wholegrain toast - so arguably more a sandwich than a burger, but it was SO good. And their cold brew coffee is great too. We went twice, once for breakfast and again for drinks. The cocktails were good - refreshing and not too sweet. I didn't eat but friends did and the staff was accommodating to dietary restrictions and the food was an absolute hit. The staff was helpful and charming. Breakfast was somewhat disappointing (I was hoping for their popular pancakes but they weren't on the menu any longer!) I had oatmeal which was cold, and I wasn't sure if this was intentional or not. It had large pieces of star anise and wasn't up my ally, but could simply be a preference opposed to a poorly crafted meal. Lovely setting especially for breakfast. Many hung around reading and on their laptops drinking coffee. Nice cafe/restaurant vibe. Definitely worth checking out to make your own opinion! read more

Easily the most disappointing meal of the trip. Food took forever to come out, even though we were the only people there (first red flag). We ordered both of the benedicts. Mine had this green sauce that just tasted like really salty canned spinach. The other claimed to have plantains and just had a couple sliced up pieces of banana in the sauce lol. Imagine, the best meal of your life, you remember the taste, the texture, the smell and the joy it brings. Now open your eyes it is not a dream, but the magical flavors that are coming alive in your mouth are GLUTEN AND DAIRY FREE. And I am in Mexico! Traveling on a good day, I am lucky to find maybe one gluten free, organic solution, but usually it becomes a nightmare and I wished I stayed home. After an extensive search, I was able to source La Esperanza as a food option for my family. Upon speaking to Lucy, the chef, a lovely Australian woman, she was able to work with my family to help us adhere to our gluten free/dairy/organic needs. Leading up to our visit, she studied our diet, and even created recipes on our behalf. We decided to take a chance and opted to have her hand prepare all of our meals for the trip and deliver to the hotel. We usually opt to go to a house and prepare are meals, but her menu sounded amazing. Our adventure began with the most amazing raw truffle bites, to homemade decadent coconut flour cookies made with honey to smoothies and juice to die for! I felt like I was at an exclusive spa with my own culinary team. Twice a day her deliveries were more and more gorgeous, from lamb stew, curry chicken, fresh pumpkin mash and the list goes on. Lucy also has a restaurant in town, which unfortunately we had no time to visit, but honestly we got used to being spoiled by catered meals. Next time I come back, I plan to get a large house with a few families and have Lucy take over the meals and cater our family reunion. Without a doubt, Lucy could be considered one of the best gluten free baker/chef that I have ever encountered. Best of all she is all about sustainable foods, organic and going the extra mile to make sure each and every morsel is made with love. You are the gluten free goddess. read more

I walked by and checked the menu and saw some great options - vegan and meat/dairy! Looked like a good vibe so stopped for lunch. Such a solid menu, I had trouble deciding what to order; decided I'd just have to come back!! Ended up with a delicious fresh juice and incredible salad - super fresh, tons of yummy sauces and a huge portion. Went back for dinner the next day - best atmosphere and more amazing food!
