The sign "one of the world's best" vegetarian restaurants made me think twice...so, I looked up this place on Yelp. The high reviews had my hopes up pretty high, especially considering the plethora of excellent restaurants in PV. However, my husband and I found this place to be the least enjoyable eatery of our trip. FOOD: It's not that the food was terrible...it just was so mediocre. Imagine a high school cafeteria with minimal options...that's this place. While there is a salad bar, nothing looked that fresh. The other bar was very limited, but boasted lots of carb heavy options and one main (soy skewers which were meh). I tried several offerings, but found the veggie soup and curry to be the most enjoyable. Neither however I would call scrumptious. Across the board, everything looked like it had been sitting out. Yes, this place seems inexpensive, but you're not saving much money...plus you'd be more satiated with another place's dishes. We found dinners that were cheaper and more enjoyable than this place. This place seems to be vegan and not vegetarian, as the horchata was made with oat milk supposedly but was extremely watery. Coffee is served at dinner but without any milk. SERVICE: Dessert is also served, but it is in the back so you must ASK for it. This seems surprising for a buffet. Service was pretty non existent. AMBIANCE: The interior is cute but feels dated. Would not return and wish I had not come here.

Best vegan food. We brought our non vegan friends and they loved the food as well. This is our favorite restaurant when we visit PV. It's a quick bus ride to the Malecon.

Best breakfast deal in town. All you can eat BUFFET for $170 pesos, about $9 US. There is a variety of hot food, cold food, sweet, spicy, savory. They have in the house made muffins and cinnamon rolls. For beverages, they have hot, black coffee, teabags, mint, chai, black, chamomile, hot water for the teabags, their own hot tea blend with ginger and cinnamon, filtered water, green juice, Agua Fresa Del Dia. FYI, if you've never had green juice before, don't let this be your first one. It is only for experienced green juice drinkers. The location is great just off of the city center and the Malecon. It is up colorful painted stairs covered with cooling foliage. I would say this is a place you could bring your carnivore friends, but be prepared for comments about no bacon.

    The papaya was so good!!

Amazing vegan buffet that rotates selections daily. The food was so flavorful and fresh. Very reasonable pricing too. Highly recommend!!

Quiet vegetarian and vegan restaurant with wonderful breakfast buffet. The seating was plentiful and music not too loud. Only one hostess who left us mostly alone, and several cooks constantly creating dishes to replace cold ones. The chilaquiles, poblanos with red peppers and onions in cream sauce, and nopales were my favorite. My husband liked the beans and tofu scramble with tomatoes. The meal was cheap given it was a buffet, too.

Rice, pozole, roasted soy beans, flautas, seitan in mole sauce, green beans, beets, and broccoli. We even got vegan chocolate cake!

What a great find this charming little restaurant is(thank you, Yelpers!). The food is hearty and comforting as well as delicious. It's good home cooking made with love. The staff is very kind, everyone is happy. It is a special place.

Words would do No justice- Come to Puerto Vallarta and enjoy this pleasant place. It is a self serve buffet style. It's authentic. It is delicious. It is what it is and you will have to come find out for yourselves. It is totally a 5 star spot if you are into chilling with the locals and enjoying a good wholesome meal. Viva Mexico!

Delicious buffet and healthy fresh food.

I love a healthy buffet! This place is it. The food was delicious with many options and changes the couple times we went. If I lived there I would go several times a week. They even had dessert, that you need to ask for

Big bang for your buck. AYCE vegan food for $7 USD?? I filled up on lots of delicious salads and entrees, also the aqua frescas are really good too. I stumbled upon this place too while wandering the cobblestone streets of PV. Apparently this place is famous!

To start with I am not a vegetarian and tend to avoid restaurants like this out of a meat eaters principle. Having said that, when i saw this restaurant and the accolades it had received to include a five star average in Yelp I absolutely had to try it. To put it succinctly, I was blown away by the quality of the food and the great flavor that almost every dish had. Where to begin. Well to start with the restaurant interior is brightly decorated with whimsical hand painted wall murals that have a bunch of disney characters in them to include Ariel the mermaid, Mickey Mouse as the sorcerer, Star wars Millennium Falcon, Yoda, Aladdin, Jasmine. Mayan ruins, garden scenes, tropical birds, etc... These murals are very well done and in line with the quality work you see in the Artistic district of Puerto Vallarta that actually adds a lot to the dining experience. Relative to the food itself, it is buffet style where the menu items change daily. On this particular night there were probably 20 items to choose from and included steamed veggies, various salads, salsa, soy in mole, sautéed peppers, guacamole, fruits, a spinach based entree, bean dish, puffed corn and mushroom soup, potato tacos, two different rices, beans... etc. the one constant with all these dishes was the flavor which was just outstanding. Throw in the low cost of just $125 pesos ($6 USD) and this is a deal that is too hard to pass up, on many fronts in this case. Overall, a wonderful meal at an amazing price. Whether you are a vegetarian or not, this is one place you need to work into your Puerto Vallarta dining schedule when you are in this area. You will absolutely not be disappointed. Five stars.....

Okay if you're vegetarian you have not lived until you visited this location. Just look for the beautiful umbrellas up the walking street with the rainbow stairs. They do breakfast for 135 pesos until 1130 and then from noon till 10 PM for 180 pesos. This includes cold drinks hot drinks bread and desserts. It's a Buffet style and everything is good. They really care about the food they're making and from what it appears it's also vegan. I didn't see any type of cheese but I didn't ask for the record. The food is very non-oily which is hard to pull off for the face. But once again I highly recommend this place and they do a nice variety every day I went it was different. I've been there three times during my visit here and would've went more but it's a 25 minute walk from where I live and on this hot day is it's a bit too much. My favorite was the Chile Riano with mashed potatoes and their potato salad. Their staff is super friendly and Luis was my favorite. Their coffee is delicious and the gray another drink. The salad bar is pretty fantastic. Just go you're really love it I wonder why didn't go more. This place has been open since 1990 I believe and Man I wish they had one of these in California or Washington state. But to be honest the last time I had a Buffet like this was at an ashram. This place is winning. Go you'll be really happy you're did!

Awesome cozy vegetarian restaurant with tasty food and a wide buffet selection. One (very moderate) price for a great self-serve buffet meal. The menu changes daily. Very friendly staff. I plan to return frequently.

It's thicker, more cheesy than what I've ever had before and very delicious. We paired that with the prime rib tacos, it was a plate stacked with meat and 4 tortillas under it, more than we could eat. The seasoning was great, it was diced so small that it was easy to eat. I got a virgin strawberry margarita, the wife got a coke. It was very affordable.

We ordered the ribeye, al pastor, and chorizo tacos. The ribeye had so much fat that we had to pick through it just to eat it. The al pastor was very average - I've had much better at plenty of other taco spots. The biggest disappointment was the chorizo. It wasn't traditional chorizo at all; it looked and tasted more like chopped-up hot dogs. We barely touched it because it wasn't what we ordered expecting, and it just wasn't good. The presentation also wasn't appealing. The meat was simply piled on top of two tortillas, making everything messy and difficult to eat. They were also pretty stingy with the grilled jalapeños. The salsas didn't do the food any favors either. None of them really stood out, and the green guacamole salsa actually tasted like it had gone bad, so we stopped eating it. Service was attentive, but almost too attentive. Staff kept coming by every few minutes to ask if we were finished or if we needed anything. While I appreciate good service, it made us feel like we were being rushed through our meal instead of being able to enjoy it at our own pace. Overall, I don't understand the high ratings based on our experience. With so many amazing taco spots in Puerto Vallarta, this one didn't come close to meeting the hype. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

Chips and three salsas come gratis. The pineapple habanero was a little hot for my tastebuds, but it had good flavor. The chipotle salsa was appropriately smoky and might've been my favorite. The green was more mild and fresh and also very good. I ordered three tacos: grilled shrimp, grilled fish, and the hibiscus flower and panela cheese. The waitress let me try a piece of the cheese before ordering since I'd never had panela before which I appreciated. That taco was probably my least favorite of the three- texture, not taste, but I like to try new things, so I'm glad I got it. There was a toppings bar for taco add-ons: limes, cucumbers, cabbage, onions, and cilantro. Nice to be able to customize. Very reasonable cost, good flavor, good service, good atmosphere.

Had to walk for a while to find a working ATM. Started with the guacamole which was good (although we'd had way better in the afternoon from a little cafe near our hotel). They have outdoor seating, so it's fun to people watch. Service was unmemorable.

We sampled the papaya salad (one of the best I've ever tasted), coconut fried rice with yellow curry, drunken noodles with shrimp and mango sticky rice. This was my first time trying mango sticky rice and I'm glad I did it here because Mexico has such excellent mangos. It was fantastic and is now a new favorite. The curry rice was also delicious but for me, was a lot of food, which is not a bad thing. A great value actually since I got three meals out of it! They also serve margaritas by the pitcher, which is literally illegal in the ridiculous state we are from so we were very excited at this option.
