The coleslaw had the right spices and texture - it was amazing. The chili was overpowered with beans, but it tasted great. However, I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the hot dogs - to me it looks like you can buy them at Fry's for $1.99 a pack. The shaved ice saved the day! Hence the 4 stars. My daughter said the flavor tasted like Hawaiian punch. Would I try anything else on their menu next time? SHO NUFF!

I'm used to it being green, cilantro-based, and all cured.....with lots of lime. This was something nuanced and cool......the red sauce was bright and fresh. It was vinegary, with a slight hot spice, and some sort of savory from somewhere. I'm used to something resembling a "dip"......this was clearly along the lines of a fresh, cold, soup......all dolled up with fresh stuff in a giant molcajete. Now, I wanted to eat all of it! But I'm gonna guess this had at LEAST a pound of shrimp in it. I eat a lot, but I'd have been able to share this easily! I made it to all but a few onions and like three shrimp.......and just had to stop. Will I go back for the hotdogs? Hell yes I will! Probably tonight...... Will I heartily explore this Mariscos menu?
