I loved the food -- it tasted amazing. They served our food quickly, without a long wait. The place felt very cozy and welcoming. The service was excellent and right on point.

Let's eat German today!

The food was over the top excellent! Recommend by David at Ed Morse while we were buying a car. The place had every table full and they were locals. That's how you know you found it. Server was very good she was slammed and handled it well. The place has a home feel and the decor was like eating at mom's kitchen. If you're able stop in and you will not be disappointed.

Zweibel Rhamschnitel- pork cutlet with onion cream gravy; cucumber salad with sour cream dressing, and semmelknödel- bread dumplings

Zweibel Rhamschnitzel, Semmelknödel and Cucumber Salad. So dang yummy! Really like cucumbers but don't often eat them as they repeat all day, but couldn't resist. They were sere good. Service was fast and friendly. Food was excellent and came out hot and yummy. Ambiance was very authentic, cuckoo clock started cuckooing at noon.

The bad: the food was mediocre compared to food in Germany. Portions were small given the price. No alcohol for a German restaurant. Food didn't come out together for a party of 7. $1 charge to substitute a side that cost the same on the menu. Ambiance is not good. The good: service was ok, private room was available. Overall, wouldn't go back.

Chicken schnitzel 4 potatoes pancakes

The service was great. The food was so great. The chicken schnitzel and potato pancakes were the best I've ever had!!!

Service and food was quite good. Had a Reuben with horseradish rather than thousand Island dressing. Schnitzel bowl with spatzle was quite good. Don't think they had a liquor license, even though they had beer stains on every table. Seems to be a lot of people pick up taking the food home.

If you're coming through Sierra Vista, you gotta check out the German Cafe for a unique experience. No frills and nothing fancy here, but the food was fantastic!! The restaurant had German decor, pictures, etc which was a nice touch. The food was outstanding-I've never been to Germany to have authentic German food, but this was a great first experience. I would recommend the Schnitzel Sandwich! The coleslaw was a great addition as well. The service was also great-there was only one serving catering to 4-5 tables while we were there and was quick and attentive. We made a reservation just in case on a Saturday evening-probably unnecessary but it did get busy!

We went here with family for my sons birthday. The waitresses were absolutely amazing and we loved their German dresses. The food was delicious and from what my in-laws said, also authentic. It felt like we were invited to dine in a true German family home, as they served us on mixed glass-wear and they allowed us to use the "back room," or "party room" due to the number of us. It felt very comfortable and cute. Food arrived in a fair time (neither short or long time). Fresh tasting and hot. I got the tea and it came with a cookie and was in a cute little teacup with a saucer. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and want to go back again as soon as we can make it back over there! Highly recommend if you are looking for a good German restaurant to frequent.

The service, comfortable atmosphere, and authentic German food are all great. My go to meal, the schnitzel sandwich on a pretzel roll with french fries and coleslaw, is always super tasty.

This place is small but has a family vibe to it. The service was very friendly, but not overly fast. I'm assuming it's that way because they make it all from scratch. I ordered the chicken schnitzel, which was amazing. My sides were potato salad with cucumber salad. I will be back to try more of their amazing menu.

If you're anywhere near Sierra Vista and craving authentic German comfort food, The Angry German is…read morea must. I had the Jägerschnitzel, and wow, crispy, perfectly breaded schnitzel smothered in a rich, savory mushroom gravy that tasted like it came straight out of a German kitchen. The mac and cheese on the side was ultra-creamy and indulgent, and the fresh cucumber salad added the perfect light, refreshing balance to the plate. Portions were generous, flavors were spot-on, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. This is the kind of meal that's hearty, satisfying, and leaves you already planning your next visit. Cozy vibes, legit German flavors, and food that absolutely delivers. And dessert (Black Forest Cake) was so incredibly delicious, I didn't even get a chance to snap a pic. Prost

I had a Rahmschnitzel with chicken, my friend had a Jaegerschnitzel and a dark beer, and his daughter had a Bretzel and then a Bratwurst and later cherry turnover. I sampled an Angry Lager beer, which our waiter Chris said was a combination of a Mexican Lager and a German Lager brewed by Barrio Brewing in Tucson just for this restaurant. It was good, but I ended up not ordering a pint to avoid being full. I had spotted a tasty-looking Biscoff cake (similar to Tiramisu) but then the $11 price tag for one slice was too high. Today was the first time I've been here when it wasn't busy. We got seated and waited on right away and the food came out quickly. We left at 2pm and the place looked quiet. It's probably a holiday thing.

There are very few German food options in Tucson & I've found their food truck to be my favourite by far, even though their menu is limited to only several delicious different wursts with saurkraut & spicy German mustard. I tried…read moretheir new vegan pierogies with a filling of mushrooms and buckwheat, caramelized onions and a side of house-made sauerkraut. They forgot to add the dill at first but brought me some when I asked. I added my own sour cream that I make by draining my homemade dairy- free yogurt. I really enjoyed trying their sauerkraut as they make it quite different than the one I make so it was fun and interesting. I enjoyed the pierogies but wished there were more mushrooms in the filling for more mushroom flavor and juiciness. I also wished the onions were more caramelized and browned. The dough didn't make me emotional thinking of my Polish grandma (I literally was brought to tears when I had the soft and tender vegan pierogies at Red Rock Deli in Albuquerque) but it was definitely good still and I am happy they added a vegan option. I hope to see more! It seemed to me like the service here would be great. Adorable place! My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

It definitely delivered where it mattered most, especially for my husband's Polish DNA cravings. The pierogies were good, the gołąbki held their own, and the salad... well, it showed up and did its job. No drama there. The space is where this place really leans in. Cute, full of character, with decor and music that actually make you feel like you've stepped into something authentic. That part gets an easy five stars. Service was warm and genuine. I didn't catch her name, but our server, a lovely young woman with long braids, was attentive, helpful, and made thoughtful suggestions without overdoing it. All in, it's not the kind of place you detour hours for, but if you find yourself nearby and craving something hearty and nostalgic, Polish Cottage fits the bill nicely. Sometimes a meal just needs to hug you a little, and this one did.
