    Schnitzel and potato pancakes.

The main reason I have giving this restaurant even two stars is that the service was good. The food, however, was not. They call themselves the House of Schnitzel, and yet they have no clue how to make a good one. It was thin, flavorless, and tough. The potato pancakes were flavorless and greasy. Their goulash soup looked like dishwater with some vegetables and tough meat thrown in. And, they are extremely expensive. If you're looking for good German food, you won't find it here. Very sad since we stopped off in Sierra Vista just to eat here. The fact that is was totally empty at lunchtime in a weekend was a glaring red flag we should have paid attention to.

Adorable little German restaurant in Sierra Vista with a cozy ambience and delicious food. I had the schnitzel bowl with fresh made spaetzel and schnitzel and the onion gravy. Their kids bratwurst and spaetzel were also great portions! Service was quick and attentive. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in Sierra Vista

I loved the food -- it tasted amazing. They served our food quickly, without a long wait. The place felt very cozy and welcoming. The service was excellent and right on point.

The food was over the top excellent! Recommend by David at Ed Morse while we were buying a car. The place had every table full and they were locals. That's how you know you found it. Server was very good she was slammed and handled it well. The place has a home feel and the decor was like eating at mom's kitchen. If you're able stop in and you will not be disappointed.

Zweibel Rhamschnitzel, Semmelknödel and Cucumber Salad. So dang yummy! Really like cucumbers but don't often eat them as they repeat all day, but couldn't resist. They were sere good. Service was fast and friendly. Food was excellent and came out hot and yummy. Ambiance was very authentic, cuckoo clock started cuckooing at noon.

The bad: the food was mediocre compared to food in Germany. Portions were small given the price. No alcohol for a German restaurant. Food didn't come out together for a party of 7. $1 charge to substitute a side that cost the same on the menu. Ambiance is not good. The good: service was ok, private room was available. Overall, wouldn't go back.

Service and food was quite good. Had a Reuben with horseradish rather than thousand Island dressing. Schnitzel bowl with spatzle was quite good. Don't think they had a liquor license, even though they had beer stains on every table. Seems to be a lot of people pick up taking the food home.

If you're coming through Sierra Vista, you gotta check out the German Cafe for a unique experience. No frills and nothing fancy here, but the food was fantastic!! The restaurant had German decor, pictures, etc which was a nice touch. The food was outstanding-I've never been to Germany to have authentic German food, but this was a great first experience. I would recommend the Schnitzel Sandwich! The coleslaw was a great addition as well. The service was also great-there was only one serving catering to 4-5 tables while we were there and was quick and attentive. We made a reservation just in case on a Saturday evening-probably unnecessary but it did get busy!

We went here with family for my sons birthday. The waitresses were absolutely amazing and we loved their German dresses. The food was delicious and from what my in-laws said, also authentic. It felt like we were invited to dine in a true German family home, as they served us on mixed glass-wear and they allowed us to use the "back room," or "party room" due to the number of us. It felt very comfortable and cute. Food arrived in a fair time (neither short or long time). Fresh tasting and hot. I got the tea and it came with a cookie and was in a cute little teacup with a saucer. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and want to go back again as soon as we can make it back over there! Highly recommend if you are looking for a good German restaurant to frequent.

The service, comfortable atmosphere, and authentic German food are all great. My go to meal, the schnitzel sandwich on a pretzel roll with french fries and coleslaw, is always super tasty.

Maybe we did not order what they are known for, and it was our first visit. We had polish sausage sandwiches that were mostly bread and very sparsely filled with two small pieces of sausage and a small amount of sauerkraut and lots of mustard. Our sides were their mashed potatoes which were very good and had fresh dill. Our drinks were rather watery for carbonated beverages. We felt the prices are rather high for what you get. We went mid-week for lunch. Four tables were seated and eating. From what we observed, the borscht and the dill soup looked really good. The atmosphere is very calm, quiet and appealing. I guess we should have tried the pierogi or the stuffed cabbage, which the Polish Cottage is known for. I would say most entrees are close to $30, except the sandwiches which are $15-16ish. I had hoped for a more generous portion of sausage and sauerkraut. The bread was very tasty, but in my opinion, the fillings were disappointingly sparse. I would not consider going back again. It was a nice ambiance and charming, but to our family, it was expensive and the portions were skimpy but flavorful. Thank you.
