I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the service, the food, and the ambiance. I walked in today, Friday 22 May at 2:15pm. It wasn't that busy and I had time to enjoy a late lunch. I ordered a Chicken Pesto sandwich ($15.99) with a side salad and it arrived in 10 minutes. The chicken, the pesto, the sourdough bread and even the thinly-sliced apples were right on point. It was a very filling lunch! Servers were beginning the closing cleanup chores at 2:45pm but never let me feel rushed. I was finishing up by then. The outdoor patio is dog friendly. Well, the prices were reasonable until I got my bill. I will never get used to paying $20+ for breakfast. And with that said... This place is getting great reviews, but my visit was less than good. I made the mistake of ordering the bacon avocado omelette. The bacon was so greasy, I had to open the omelette, pull half of the meat out and then blot the omelette it with a napkin to absorb the remaining grease. Then they were supposed to be jack cheese in my omelette; there was maybe a tablespoons worth tossed in the middle so I asked my waitress for cheese, she brought me a small bowl of shredded cheese. My omelette was still hot enough where I was able to add the cheese to the omelette which made it an actual cheese and bacon omelette. Before that it was simply a bacon omelette. Then after several bites,I realized... where is my toast? When I asked the young lady, she said, "oh yeah toast! What would you like?" and I told her, she toasted my toast brought it over to me almost half burnt. Well, I know times have changed, and breakfast will become only for the elite. This place is a freezer. We went to breakfast at 7am and it was ridiculously cold. When we got up to ask about the temperature, 4 sets of eyes just looked at us dumbfounded by the comment. The leader of the staff stood looking at me......wait for it.......in a parka !!! The staff said no heat turned on because the kitchen will heat up the place in a few hours.
