My husband has been wanting to try Takomaki, so today he said let's do it. The Restaurant is small but very cute. We were seated at the bar because they were full. Our waitress Alondra was very friendly. I had a Sonoran style hot dog and a ribeye taco both were very delicious. I also had a drink called Cantarito. Can't wait to go back My husband had the quesabirria tacos, he said they were very good.

Refreshing margaritas, tasty street tacos (brisket...ahhhh) and reasonable prices. The bacon-wrapped pepper was just the right amount of zesty! Stop in if you are in Sierra Vista.

I had to go to SV from Tucson for something and found this place to eat lunch. I ordered the special maki ball and Quesabirria tacos. This is probably the best Quesabirria tacos I have had. The Maki Balls were good as well but it was a lot of rice. It tasted better with eel sauce to dip it in, otherwise it was a little dry. My husband got the 3 kinds of hotdogs and sushi. He liked the sushi roll but did not like the hotdogs as much. He is used to the Sonoran dogs you can find at the side of the road stands all over south Tucson, which tbh are hard to beat. The pricing is kind of high but it was a nice place to try out. We had our 3mo old with us and unfortunately there is no changing table in the single stall bathrooms, so we had to change him in the trunk of my car. Total the bill was $95 for 4 dishes and an appetizer and 2 drinks. We more than likely will not be back only because we don't ever go down to SV and it was a little pricey.

Truly unique menu items that are all presented very well and taste amazing. Fried Mexican style sushi is a fusion that shouldn't work but does. One of the best spots to try in sierra vista, and certainly one of the most unique.

In town for El Tour de Zona and not too familiar with the area, but thought the concept of Mexican Japanese was intriguing as we were driving by, even though that part of town seemed less than desirable. Inside was very clean and spacious. Service was great from the moment we walked in. Our server gave us time to make our selection even though we were pretty indecisive as everything sounded so good. We started with splitting the Taki Maki roll and OMG. I'm pretty sure my mouth had an orgasm. Then we split the mixed fried rice and again, OMG. The beef, chicken and shrimp were perfectly cooked and the rice was seasoned so good we couldn't stop eating it. Served in a deceivingly small wooden bowl, it was NOT small at all and we ended up taking half to our hotel and ate cold later. Still quite delicious! Highly recommend this place, even though the surrounding area is questionable. Oh, and the horchata. Bomb!

Mexican AND Japanese?! Well, I had gyozas and shrimp tacos and both were amazing. The flavor was spot on. The place looks very unassuming, don't let that fool you - the food is excellent.

Excellent food, flavors are on point. Casaburria yum! My companion had the bacon wrapped shrimp. Served so cute!

At first, I was really skeptical about the fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavors, but Takomaki completely won me over. I had the steak tacos and adobada tacos, and they were absolutely bomb! The flavors were bold, well-balanced, and unique in the best way possible. There's still plenty on the menu I need to try, so I'll definitely be back. The restaurant has plenty of dine-in space, and the staff is incredibly welcoming, making the whole experience even better.

This was a nice surprise, who would have ever thought a Japanese Mexican fusion would work. Well it did and quite nicely . This wan my first dining experience where wasabi and salsa hit the table at the same time . I had adobo tacos and a shrimp tempura roll. Both on point. Will come back!

Consistent Excellent Service & Quality After visiting 6…read moretimes during the past 12 months I can honestly state that Taco Giro deserves 5 stars. Why? Because each time we have gone there we were immediately greeted and seated, food and drinks were consistently very good or excellent and compared to other restaurants in Cochise County, has maintained that consistency and excellent customer service over time. My first review was written after they first opened a few years ago. I gave them only 3 stars then and offered suggestions for improvement. Since then, they have met or exceeded my expectations. My companion is from Sonora, Mx. and loves to prepare recipes passed down from her grandmother from the late 1800's. Thus, she really knows good Mexican food made with fresh ingredients, thus, is VERY picky. Since we live in a desert and not close to the Gulf of Mexico, fresh seafood is nearly impossible to obtain. I'm not generally a fan of flash frozen fish since I'm spoiled, having eaten fresh caught oysters and seafood from the gulf. However, they have found a distributor who provides flash frozen seafood and it tastes pretty good. Most frozen seafood, in my opinion is not tasty, but this is a good substitute for those of us who can't go to Mariscos in AP (where they have fresh seafood delivered daily). Try the QuesaBirria tacos or carne asada which are delicious, (even my companion agrees!) Tableside prepared guacamole (per your liking) with warm chips plus salsa is also excellent and fresh. Happy Hour Margaritas are also excellent at a great price! I just hope they continue to sustain the excellence they have strived for so we can continue to dine at least in one good restaurant in SV. Ambiance is good too, with natural light, comfortable booths and tables/chairs (they keep the windows clean and no flies trying to steal your meal!) Note: I realize some other reviews reflect a different experience so all I can do is share my experience.

Our waitress/hostess was terrific throughout, from greeting to service.
