I came to LuminaSkin for Botox, and really wanted to love this place.... BUT. Let's start with the good stuff - really easy to get an appointment, reception is nice and friendly, the facilities are beautiful and clean and they validate parking. I went to Lauren Scott to get Botox and she was SO nice and gentle. We talked through what I wanted and how many units. So why 3 stars? Well, I had shared concern about having a droopy eyelid because that's happened in the past, and I was assured that I was in good hands. I'm about a week after my treatment, and my left eyelid is droopy, and when I raise my forehead it's uneven. It appears that there's more Botox on the left side of my face vs right... the asymmetry is really quite upsetting. I know it's not permanent (thankfully!), but I would expect more from a place like this... and especially after paying $660 ($15/unit). read more

This review is long overdue. The first time I got lip fillers it was done by Lauren who was so sweet and knew exactly what my goal was. The second time I got my lips done was by Rachel who thankfully told me not to overdo the lip filler and instead use just enough filler to enhance the shape of my lips. She even put some filler in my chin to elongate it! I love how my lips turned out each time, either no/light bruising! Will definitely continue to come here for my lips. I would NOT recommend LuminaSkin for laser hair removal and have overall been very disappointed with the services I've received there. I began my treatments in June 2020. I was told that I would need 6-8 treatments total - but likely only six as I am an "ideal candidate" (light skin, dark hair). I've now had nine treatments and will likely need a total of 14-15 until the hair is completely gone. That's double what they advised me and what I had budgeted for based on their guidance and expertise. On top of that, the business is NOT managed well! There are multiple times I have waited for over an hour for my appointment to begin. I finally began texting them about an hour prior to my visit to see if they'd be on time. Although I was told they would be - I still ended up waiting on multiple occasions. Most recently, my normal technician took a leave of absence and they had to reschedule my appointment a couple of days prior. I didn't mind the inconvenience but I wanted to ensure I could get in that same week as I'm moving states soon and I had already prepaid for my final two sessions (per their recommendation). On the day of my appointment, my husband drove me as I recently had foot surgery and cannot safely drive yet (legally, I'm handicapped). It's an hour out of our way as we live 30 minutes from their office. Plus, we both took time out of an incredibly busy work day to accommodate their schedule change. As I'm in the laser room waiting to begin, they come in and advise me they'll need to cancel as the DIRECTOR of their office, whom I was supposed to see, "FORGOT" about our appointment and was at home. I told the front office staff that I assumed I would be reimbursed for the session given I've worked around their schedule changes TWICE now and they messed up. They agreed it was their fault, completely unprofessional, and they would reimburse me, but they never did. I came back the following day and saw the director for my appointment. Again, taking time out of another busy work day for both my husband and me and driving over an hour, round-trip. She apologized and said she would throw in a "free cleanser and toner." Seriously? When I told her I wasn't interested and preferred to be reimbursed for the inconvenience, she agreed. Once the session was completed, we walked out to the front desk and she acted like we never had that conversation. She then finally agreed (the third time I had been told I'd be reimbursed!) and that they would refund the session. It's been over one week now and I still haven't received my money back. Not only was I terribly inconvenienced but they also flat out lied to me! I used to work in the service industry (in sales and marketing) for a world renowned luxury hotel brand and I would never fathom treating any of my clients this way! LONG STORY SHORT: don't waste your time or money here. Although their technicians are friendly, they don't know how to run a business or ensure their long term clients are happy. My first outing of being sheltered in place was to go get my Much needed Botox treatment at Lumina skin. I've been a client 11 years now and the office has always been professional and sterile to begin with so I felt safe to go get treated as I knew they would abide by all safety measures. I made my appointment when they finally opened the med spa and was instructed to call them before I entered to confirm last client left and office was sanitized. And instructed to have my mask on and to use the hand sanitizer that was provided as I entered. All of the products that they sell were roped off saying do not touch and they would assist me so that nothing would get contaminated. I then entered the room where my procedure would get done, had my temperature taken, filled out a Covid-19 form for all safety measures. I felt very safe! I then had my Botox done and Tatyana was completely protected and so clean. As always great painless results! Checkout was also so throughly planned and safe. The reception desk had a plexiglass between the receptionist and I. When signing my bill I was told to keep the fancy Lumina Skin pen. I can't say enough of the professionalism the team has ALWAYS provided. They are a class act. The service, cleanliness and my results are worth more then 5 stars. Thank you Lumina Skin. ***I am downgrading my previous review*** I first came to LuminaSkin in June 2017. I've done Cool Sculpting with Daniella (she is no longer with the office and they lost my "before" photos), Clear+Brilliant treatment with Kaeleen, Kybella with Alice (she is no longer with the office) and Juvederm Volbella with Abby. I spent over $7K in this office in only 4 months. As you can see a few staff members left in a short period of time. I would start a treatment with one specialist and then would have to continue with another. It worked perfectly the first time because my second CoolSculpting was taken over by Kaeleen who is absolutely wonderful. But it wasn't so pleasant the second time around when my Kybella injector Alice left after my first treatment. The same happened with my friend whom I convinced to come to LuminaSkin and now I lost her trust. Getting familiar with different treatments that LuminaSkin was offering, I would start shopping around and compare prices. I found out that the product line reps would run the same promotion for several offices in the area but you would get less with LuminaSKin. Instead, they add some "complimentary" (built in the total price) services that you don't necessarily need or want. I understand that it's a retail business and the focus is on sales but it doesn't work for me. I come in for a particular service/treatment, I want to feel comfortable with my injector and I don't want to pay more to get things I don't need. Oh, one more thing, I've noticed that "promotions" would say 40-50% OFF but if you know the regular price and do the math, it's not event 5%. So, be cautious and do your research. With this place is always a hit and miss! This review is for the RF microneedling I did there two days ago. I've done this treatment many times so I didn't really paid much attention, it was also with someone I've never worked with before. Although they assured me the previous nurse trained this nurse and they have my setting written down from before, I do not think this was the case. they Usually they do 3 passes with gradually increased intensity. But I did not feel like I got enough passes or needling this time. Because when I went home on the same night when the redness went away, there was barely any scaring or wavering needle patterns on my skin! My face used to scar a little and feels very rough after the treatment for at least 3-5days. Then I start to see the glow. But this time, I literally see nor feel nothing on my skin. It's pretty expensive treatment, I feel like I wasted my money completely! Very inconsistent service and results with this place, even with the same treatment or same machine! read more

This review is long overdue. Where do I begin? I use to be a sun worshiper. As I got older, I've developed sun damage below the right side of my right eye. It was the size of a dime and had a brownish dark color. Tatiana explained the IPL procedure in layman terms. She also put me on the Obagi skin regimen. I used this product for 3 months and was amazed at the results. I've gone through microdermabrasions as well and I always feel so good after i leave. I've gotten compliments on my skin and the dark spots have lightened a lot. I've used other services that Tatiana offers and I definitely recommend her. Do not come here for Botox! I wasted $500 on Botox that does not work! I normally go to the doctor that made Pro-Active. This doctor has such a huge following, that her office is often backed up. And, with the sudden death of her partner, her office is in a transitional phase. I decided to try somewhere else and read the Yelp reviews. There was a negative review on this company stating that the Botox doesn't work. I should have heeded this reviewers advice! What a waste of hard earned money! The company insisted I come back and meet with Tatiana because it is their "policy" instead of issuing a refund. Tatiana is NOT a doctor and does not know how to inject Botox. She kept waving a hand mirror around, ordering me to hold it. As though the mirror had magic powers to make the wrinkles disappear. Our personalities clashed when I refused to hold the mirror. She wasn't listening to anything I was saying and kept trying to give me that stupid mirror! I said I have been looking at the same wrinkles for three weeks (since my first injection with Lauren) and nothing has changed. Therefore, there is no reason for me to look into the mirror. I pointed out the wrinkles under my eyes. Tatiana kept saying "I can't do anything about those". I said this is the reason I came here and my regular doc is able to get rid of them, I don't understand why she can't? She said "drooping, blah, blah, blah. Lady, I am a veteran with Botox and normally get excellent results. This area can be treated and is an area that bugs me - hence, the visit for Botox! After 10 minutes of sitting on edge with this woman who kept saying "I can't do this, I can't do that", she finally went over the same areas Lauren "injected". Again, insisting I hold the mirror and watch her inject. Wtf?? I have never had a doctor tell me to hold a mirror while injecting. Immediately, a bruise under the side of my eye appeared. Three weeks later, nothing! The wrinkles are still the same! The Botox is so watered down, it is a joke. A very expensive joke - on me! This is so aggravating and frustrating. And to deal with a woman who isn't a doctor and blames you for the Botox not working. Ugh! Now I have to pay again to see a real doctor to do the work this place was supposed to do - but failed. And I am out $500!! What a scam! An RN pretending you be a doctor. I sent emails, along with attached photos, of the exact same wrinkles as when I started with this company. The office kept insisting I come back in. For what? Tatiana waving around a mirror? Blaming me for the Botox not working? Arguing with each other? And the nerve they have for telling me they gave me a "complementary" session. "Complementary"?? The Botox didn't work the first time and if didn't work the second time. That was a re-do of the first injections that never worked. What makes them think a third visit will work - especially when Tatiana "can't" get rid of wrinkles under the eyes. The main reason why I can't in! Now, ALL the wrinkles are still here and one eyebrow raises like the Joker. Tatiana supposedly took care of this issue during my "complementary" session. I have never heard anyone refer to a re-do as "complementary". The only recourse is a chargeback on my credit card. But, I will have a bad mark with my CC company for doing this. Yes, it can be done for services that are unsatisfactory and I have been in discussions with them. I have requested a refund no less than three times via email. They insist I go in. I said I am not paying anymore money. Of course, they go silent. Do not come here for Botox! It does not work and Lauren and Tatiana are not doctors!! What a waste of hard earned money!! read more
