    Party of 10

My husband and I came in to dinner together. I had the cheese ravioli. He had the pork chops. I had the mozzarella with tomatoes and peppers salad And he has fried calamari. Their Prosecco is really good. The ambience is really good. The owner treats you like friends and family. Great restaurant, this is I believe my 6th time here. Also, Great service by the waiter. We will continue to come back to dine here.

Too many people crowded into bar area. Bathrooms downstairs, parking on dirt without valet. Drinks were great, waitress explained not enough help. Bread arrived wo butter ( maybe new ) but my food can speak for itself. So disheartened after several co workers raved and raved about quality. Maybe an " off night"? Unsure...

Pleasantly surprised from a friends birthday luncheon I attended here. The reviews were mixed and since we weren't making the food options I wasn't sure want to expect. For starters staff was fantastic and really on top of the guest needs. We were in there back room total party of 50. The staff constantly came by for drinks orders. They also were great and remembered what drink one was drinking. Kudos to the staff the staff alone is worth 5 stars. Now the food- bread and bruschetta family style it was good. We had an option Caesar or their house salad. I went with Caesar and I did not enjoy it all! I barely ate it. Pasta - Garlic & oil or vodka I went with vodka it was okay not great but okay. Tasty Entree- we had about 6 options I went with chicken francese it was tasty better than I thought it would be. Overall, everything tasted okay but service was excellent.

    First the blessings.

We just had a 5 Star dinner at La Famiglia in Plainview. From soup to Nutz the food was fantastic! Today is my Mom and Dads 65th wedding anniversary. When The owner of La Famiglia caught us outside of church getting a blessing from the priest, he pulled his car over and invited us to dinner. We were treated like rock stars . There aren't too many people around anymore who would do something so generous. Covid has hit the hospitality business hard. Please patronize this lovely restaurant. We will return again to La Famiglia. The wait staff were super super nice. Thank you for treating us so well. The food really was great!!!!!!!!

Love Italian food. Love this restaurant…read more We went out for an evening dinner and one of us being in the mood for Italian, we gave this place a shout. Excellent call. It's a white tablecloth restaurant that serves some of the best Italian food I've had. And I've had a lot. The dinner starts with some terrific rolls and oil. Had to ask for some ground pepper and cheese, which they quickly oblige. The arugula salad may be the best arugula salad I have ever had. Large, fresh, the roasted portobello mushrooms and roasted peppers were outstanding, the goat cheese and balsamic dressing were just perfect. I had the eggplant Parmesan. I may have had better, but this one is right up there. The portion size was large, the sauce was outstanding, and I chose the angel hair pasta as my side, and that too was terrific. Exquisite evening definitely would go back there again.

Vito comes from New Hyde Park to Plainview on Friday and according to the friend I grabbed lunch with, he makes the best pizza. And he did. We got his tricolor pizza which had marinara, vodka and pesto sauces which dressed burrata and pepperonis. Before our pizza we started with Capalleni Cakes and the Apple Gorgonzola salad. Both were incredible. You can tell how fresh their ingredients are. Maybe they came straight from the market. Seated by a window we had the best lunch with the best service. My friend introduced me to Vito and we complimented his pizza making skills. Would definitely visit again at either location.

The place has a good amount of seating area including high tops, low booths, bar table, and a private room. There is also two unisex restrooms. I came with my boyfriend before an event at Farmingdale State College and we were on a time crunch. I made a reservation on OpenTable but it was not busy at all. We got greeted and seated immediately upon walking in. Then, a server came with ice water for the both of us before our actual waiter came to introduce herself and ask if we were ready to order. Shortly after ordering, the waitress brought us a plate of complimentary bread that comes with garlic on top and olive oil dip on bottom. We got the fried calamari which was perfectly battered (not too little nor too thick) and fried perfectly (not too burnt nor too pale). The taste was great and went well with the marinara sauce. The Clams Oreganata were delicious too - very meaty and flavorful with a nice sauce and lemon to squeeze on top. The Clams Vespa is very unique and creamy. It reminds me of a white Alfredo sauce with baked clams. They had a huge variety of drinks and it was hard for me to choose, but the lady recommended me the Sicilian Kiss which is a strawberry flavored cocktail. It is supposed to be on the sweeter side but the alcohol was strong too. As for our main entree, we got the Papperdelle Bolognese which was a veal, pork, beef ragu on ribbon pasta. Very well cooked and the taste and texture went perfectly together. We were so full, but never skip on dessert! I'm personally not a fan of cheesecake, but they have creme brulee cheesecake and rainbow cookie cheesecake which I would have loved to try if it wasn't for the cheesecake. But I was happy to find out I could order the rainbow cookie gelato that usually comes with the cheesecake. That was yummy! The texture reminded me of the cake mix Ice-Cream from Carvel and the flavor is not too strong. Overall, great vibes and service. Will definitely be back to the the pizza and other pastas.

The fried calamari and jalapeño appetizer was delicious, except that I got more rings than tentacles. I would have preferred half tentacles/half rings, and there was a little too much breading for me. I also ordered the tortellini en brodo with some pancetta thrown in. I sprinkled some grated Parmesan cheese and fresh ground black pepper on top, and the flavors melded beautifully. I enjoyed a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon with my meal: Primitivo Di Manduria, Carlo Sani 'Oro' Riserva, Puglia. It is a full-bodied Italian red wine with a flavor profile of red jam, dark fruits, chocolate and spice--up my alley! I enjoyed it so much that I plan to buy a bottle at the first liquor store near me that has one for sale. Alex was very nice and accommodating, and the restaurant was clean. I will be back.
