After seeing all the hype on social media, we decided to visit Italiano to try their famous bread-bowl pastas. When we walked in, it felt more like a busy pizzeria with a dining area than the trendy spot we were expecting. The place was packed, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. Once seated, we noticed right away that the menu didn't match what we had seen online. In the videos, every pasta dish came with burrata, but here it was an extra charge. The bread bowl itself was also a $7 add-on, which pushed the $25 pasta dishes to nearly $40 each -- a price that simply doesn't make sense for what you get. Staff was friendly, but the busboys seemed completely untrained, and service overall was slow. We did receive our minestrone soup quickly, but it was just okay. The soup's kidney beans and chickpeas were noticeably undercooked. When the pasta arrived, the disappointment continued. The burrata, which we paid extra for, was cold and hard rather than creamy. Even the waitress seemed surprised when we pointed it out. We also noticed that the regular pasta dishes (served in normal bowls) were much larger portions than the bread-bowl pastas -- despite the bread bowls costing more. At the end of the meal, the reality became clear: the bread-bowl trend is more gimmick than substance. With two pasta dishes and one soup totaling around $100, the value just isn't there. My five friends and i came here tonight (Monday) for dinner an hour before closing. Our waitress was nice, but seemed tired. We ordered a Margherita pizza, and these truffle ravioli appetizer that I forgot the name of. I haven't been been here since the name change. It used to be Gino's. I believe they changed their name over the last two years or so. From my memory, the menu looks the same and the inside is the same. Happy I went today with a friend! We both ordered the pasta bread bowls because who doesn't love carbs on top of carbs...and an edible bowl? I had the penne ala vodka. It was very good. Great tasting vodka sauce! My friend had the spaghetti and meatballs. She was given three meatballs. She said it was very good. Both of our bread bowls were packed with pasta! The bowl itself is also quite deep. This is a great new restaurant for me have tried. I've been there a couple of times now. We've had pizza that was really tasty. My Son liked the bag of cheese slice. I felt their Sicilian was done really really well. I've also gone there with friends and had an amazing salad and the doughnut. Dessert was so good. My Son loves the drunken pasta bowls. We took them home as leftovers and they survived very well. I also took it home one time as a takeout and they kept everything separate so you could put it together yourself which kept the bread from getting soggy. But the leftovers with that bread absorbing was really really good. The Waite staff is very good. They make sure you have what you need. It gets a bit slower if they're busy but not too bad. The guys behind the counter serving the pizza slice seemed to like their job. They had a smile and were helpful with suggestions. The restaurants are in a strip mall so parking is really good and I've sat in a couple of different areas of the restaurant and it's always been very comfortable sometimes the music can be a little loud, but they will adjust it if you ask. read more

OMG! We went to try the viral pasta bowls and we were NOT disappointed! These are garlic bread bowls filled to the brim with pasta! We tried the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and fettuccine chicken also vodka with burrata. Next time I'll ask for the burrata on the side when ordering to go. We ordered takeout so I can't talk about sit down service, but the staff on the phone was friendly and they care for your items. Our bowls came deconstructed which is so smart! I went to Italiano Pie Bar in Bethpage with the family and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but the service was pretty laxed. Though very friendly, It took them a really long time to even take our orders, and then we had to wait a really long time for the apps to come out. Felt more like they were short staffed than anything else. That being said, the apps were worth the wait, wife and I really enjoyed the Short Rib Mac & Cheese. The main courses were hit or miss for me. My chicken vodka hero on garlic bread was just average. My wife enjoyed the pasta & buratta bread bowl she got, and I loved the taste as well. One thing that was pretty annoying was having to get up multiple times to grab silverware, get drinks refilled, or grab napkins. It was like we were invisible sometimes. The atmosphere was lively though, with good music and a nice bar set up. If I'm being honest, I'd probably go back for the food, but maybe just for a to go order next time. Our first visit it Italiano Ristorante in Bethpage. I'm glad we came to try it. We were so amazed after seeing the TIk Tok pasta bowls so we decided to take a ride. The bowls were an amazing idea. We drove 2 hours out of our way to try these pasta bread bowls on our road trip from Florida. I saw a reel about the different bread bowls. Everything looked amazing in the restaurant, staff was very nice. I would guess the owner is the one that greeted us and asked were we there for the bread bowls. The food was very good. It wasn't spectacular, but was good. I think I would do without the bread bowl next time. It's impossible to eat and just goes to wait. You also get the same bread for free when you dine in. Visited for the first time on 6-25-25. Came with my family and we ordered a bunch of different dishes. This place was a Gino's Pizza for quite a few years and within the last year or two it changed names to "Italiano" and received a makeover inside. We ordered a shrimp in marinara sauce over angel hair pasta, a chicken dish with beans and broccoli rabe over a mushroom risotto, short ribs and fresh ricotta served over cavatelli, a chicken dish with broccoli, hot peppers, garlic and oil served over fettuccine, capellini cakes, fried calamari and stuffed baked clams. I tried a little of everything and thought all the food was very good. For me, the standouts were the capellini cake appetizer and the chicken and broccoli over linguini dish. The flavors popped and I wanted to drink the sauce on its own. The bread that's brought to the table was also excellent. Freshly made dinner rolls using the their pizza dough which reminded me of a big garlic knot. Crispy exterior with a chewy interior......they were perfect for sopping up all the delicious sauce. From what I understand, this place is also known for their "bread bowl pasta dishes". They'll prepare any pasta dish and serve it in a freshly baked bread bowl for I believe a $7 up charge. Unfortunately I didn't order one, but the table nest to me did......and they said if you're going to carb overload, it was a great way to do so. The service was a bit lacking but there was a party going on so I'll chalk that up to the waitresses being busier than what they're used to. It was a comfortable atmosphere in a nice, casual setting. The pizzeria portion of the restaurant looked good. Plenty of specialty pies in the display counter that I'll have to check out next time I visit. We felt very welcomed the moment we walked into Italiano in Bethpage. Before we even reached the hostess stand, at least 3-4 staff members greeted us, which immediately set such a friendly tone. The hostess was incredibly kind, and since we had a toddler with us, they made sure the table would be comfortable for a high chair before seating us. Once we sat down, they even offered a wipe to clean the high chair and table -- honestly, that was the first time any restaurant has ever asked us that, and it really stood out. For food, we ordered spaghetti and meatballs for the kids, penne alla vodka in a bread bowl (they thoughtfully asked if we wanted pancetta included), and a spinach and artichoke pizza. This pizzeria restaurant has the pizza place on one side and restaurant seating on the other side. The pizza looks ok, the main reason why I went here was for their bread bowl pasta. They have a few different options for pasta and if you pay $7 more you can have it come in a bread bowl instead. It's a cool concept and nice to try one time. But getting it in a bread bowl is difficult to finish in one day. I ate the other half of pasta and bread bowl the next day. The short rib , rigatoni with fried onions and ricotta is amazing and I had to go back a second time and order the same exact thing. The other pasta choices look good also but I didn't wanna try anything new since I loved this one so much. I probably will do without the bread bowl next time. Staff was nice but both times I went there they forgot something in my order n fixed it without an issue. They have a Large shared parking lot. I've been wanting to try this food forever. I ordered a couple slices and rolls through Uber Eats. When I tell you it's totally inedible I am not exaggerating and I'm shocked all the hype they get from influencers. The sauce is DISGUSTING. I can't even dip my vodka sauce chicken roll in it which idk why you'd five me a vodka sauce chicken roll and give me regular sauce to dip. Wouldn't vodka sauce make sense? I ordered a reg slice for my son they closed the box on its totally destroyed. Stuck to the box. The spinach artichoke slice isn't terrible but the only edible thing in my order. I will never be returning here again and as far as I'm concerned everyone who gave this place good reviews or Influencers hyping it up. We have been here previously, but our latest experience was not up to standard. We walked in at 9:20, and as soon as we approached the hostess she said, " you know we close at 10 pm". Right there we knew we were going to be rushed. They sat us down and the waitress was rude. She was practically running past our table and slamming the drinks on our table. We ordered our food and she placed our orders and she forgot to put in one of the entrees. ( we also got our food 45 mins after we ordered) I didn't order a bread bowl and received one. We saw her leave in the middle of the service without handing over our table. A waiter eventually came over to our table and realized we were missing an entree.
