I usually go to the Piccolo Busola in Westbury, but today we decided to try the piccolos in Syosset. I'm glad we picked this location because the food and service was truly fantastic. The bake clams were great veal was one of the best I've ever had. The seafood fried Diablo was wonderful. Can't wait to go back.

Filet of Sole Oreganata. Full tray for family style. I questioned it, and was told that is only supposed to serve 2. I guess family of 2?

Very disappointed about portion size for a "full tray." I questioned why there was only 2 small pieces. They claimed it only is supposed to serve 2. Even though this was supposed to be a larger portion family style.

This is a favorite place for my wife's cousins but it's ok for my taste. We always end up ordering more food than we can eat and spending a lot of money but we do take home leftovers for next day lunch. I agree with some of the other reviews that the servings used to be larger. Most of the food was very good but the shrimp was terrible. It had some kind of chemical after taste. Unfortunately it was in 2 of the dishes we ordered. Other than that everything else was fine. For apps we had stuffed artichokes, stuffed clams and the shrimp. Clams could be made whole or chopped, we had chopped. Stuffing for the apps were generous and the same for each dish. A little too much for me.The pomodoro entree was my favorite. Excellent sauce with bits of pancetta? We also had the chicken scarpariello. They make a very good version of this dish but the white meat was a bit dry. Dark meat was perfect. We also had another chicken and shrimp dish but the shrimp tasted just as bad as the app. We noticed another table had a pretty cool dessert tower so we ended up getting it. It was a cannoli base with tartufo ice cream and fruit on top. Definitely worth getting if you still have an appetite. Service was excellent, I would give them 5 stars. Overall I would rate them 4 stars but the shrimp really bothered me. Definitely worth going but avoid the shrimp.

Very respectful staff. Clean space. Delicious food. This is my 3rd or 4th time here. I always order something different. Today I started with the Spedino alla Romano appetizer. Very tasty and very filling. If you order this forget dessert let alone finishing your main course. For dinner I ordered Chicken Rollatini with mushrooms. It's delicious but like I said I couldn't finish it. Couldn't do dessert but had to do a double espresso with Frangelico straight up. Always reliable always good. Never disappoint.

Love Italian food. Love this restaurant…read more We went out for an evening dinner and one of us being in the mood for Italian, we gave this place a shout. Excellent call. It's a white tablecloth restaurant that serves some of the best Italian food I've had. And I've had a lot. The dinner starts with some terrific rolls and oil. Had to ask for some ground pepper and cheese, which they quickly oblige. The arugula salad may be the best arugula salad I have ever had. Large, fresh, the roasted portobello mushrooms and roasted peppers were outstanding, the goat cheese and balsamic dressing were just perfect. I had the eggplant Parmesan. I may have had better, but this one is right up there. The portion size was large, the sauce was outstanding, and I chose the angel hair pasta as my side, and that too was terrific. Exquisite evening definitely would go back there again.

So, I was excited to see this legendary brand open an Italian a restaurant. These are my thoughts........ When you walk in you're greeted by impeccably dressed and friendly staff and a beautify thought out restaurant. Check! First, I ordered the calamari with a side of both marinara and fra diavalo sauce. This was where my expectations started slipping. The breading was absolutely bland and added nothing special. The plain marinara you could get from a jar sauce. The fra diavalo sauce was pretty much the marinara with Tabasco stirred in to it. It's not that any of it was horrible, it was just boring. Then what was ordered for dinner was a plate of Penne ala Vodka and a Pizza Margherita. They both had nothing exceptional about them and truthfully were bland and unremarkable. This is a place that you bring people who don't know anything about good Italians food and just want basic flavor. Truthfully, the corner pizzeria has better flavor. I wouldn't drive just to go there again. Come on guys, step up your game!

The package included family style of several apps, choice of salad, pasta and for main course Chicken Sarpariello, Veal Marsala and Shrimp Luciano over Sauteed Spinach. All came out large portions of family style. After we enjoyed the main course, a while later they brought my wife's favorite, their Homestyle Napoleon Cake with coffee and we all sang Happy Birthday. Chris and Tony's were amazing making my wife's birthday celebration a success! Kudos to our servers Jacob and Brandon who were very attentive to us and on top of their game all night long. Every time food came out, they served each of us and whatever was left over was left on the table if anyone wanted more. Any all food not eaten was given to us to take home and there was lot of leftovers for us to enjoy at home.

I got the chicken picata which came a la carte and a side of pesto cavatelli. The cavatelli was fresh pasta and the portion of pasta was large for a side I think they gave me just a regular pasta meal. I tried the Italian sunrise which I didn't like at all. My husband had the pesto gnocchi and enjoyed his meal. We finished with the cookies and cream mousse which was light. My cappuccino was delicious. My only complaints are my jacket and clothes smelled like fried food because we were sitting close to the kitchen which I didn't like of course. My leftover chicken was not entire meal that was leftover which was disappointing.

On March 29th, we hosted my grandmother's 85th birthday here with about 30 people. This wasn't some last-minute reservation--we planned everything months in advance directly with Sal. From the very beginning, we made it clear that the entire reason we chose this restaurant was for their private room. My grandmother had attended another party there and loved that space--it's private, has its own bathroom, and was perfect since we had a lot of kids attending. Sal explicitly told us there was no minimum or maximum for the room and guaranteed it to us. Based on that promise, we booked the party. As the date got closer, we even upgraded the package--paying extra per person for an additional course. Only then did Sal casually slip in that we would NOT be getting the private room. So if we hadn't called to add that upgrade, we likely wouldn't have found out until the day of the event. When we questioned him, he suddenly claimed there was a "minimum" requirement of people to secure the room--something he NEVER mentioned before. Then he tried to say there was a contract stating we weren't guaranteed the room... except we were never given any contract. No paperwork. No receipt for our deposit. Nothing. Completely unprofessional and shady. A few days later, when my dad followed up, Sal finally admitted the truth: another, larger party booked the room. Fine--we understand businesses prioritize money. But don't LIE and promise something you can't deliver. Don't book us under false pretenses and then backtrack with excuses and made-up policies. We were then told we'd get the corner, semi-private part of the restaurant space with three tables. That didn't happen either. Instead, we were crammed into the front, basically in the middle of the restaurant. It was chaotic, loud, and completely inappropriate for a large family gathering--especially with young kids running around and my 85-year-old grandmother struggling just to get to the bathroom. To make matters worse, when we calmly expressed our disappointment afterward, Sal didn't even have the decency to have a conversation. He literally put his hand up and said, "I'm done with this conversation," and walked away, leaving his waiter to handle it--despite the fact that he was the one who mishandled everything. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic respect was unbelievable. We felt completely taken advantage of and misled from start to finish. This was supposed to be a special milestone celebration, and instead it turned into a stressful and upsetting experience for our entire family. We will absolutely NEVER be coming back, and I strongly advise anyone considering booking an event here to think twice. If they can do this to a party planned months in advance, they can do it to anyone.

We started with fresh baked bread and their signature ricotta-style bruschetta dip, which set the tone right away. The meats and cheeses were high quality and full of flavor. The tortellini in broth was especially comforting and perfect for the colder weather. For entrees, the veal was perfectly crispy and paired well with the mashed potatoes and spinach. The balanzoni stood out for its rich, flavorful sauce, and adding the lasagna was absolutely worth it -- layered, hearty, and extremely satisfying. Dessert was just as strong. The tartufo was rich without being overwhelming, the ice cream was smooth and refreshing, and the biscotti was hands down the best we've ever had. Ending with coffee tied the meal together nicely. Service throughout the evening was attentive, well paced, and knowledgeable about the course menu, which made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a classic Italian feel that made it easy to settle in and enjoy a full multi-course meal.
