Didn't love it. Also didn't hate it. Leaving places like this without any strong conviction one way or another tends to send me toward the belief that there are people that probably love this place. I'm just not one of them. Probably worth a try.

Great family-owned restaurant. Soft chicken tacos were good! Just what I wanted. Great friendly service!

Not really a mexican food fan, I usually just have carne' asada there with just the meat. But it is a popular place.

We stopped here, off I-70, for a late lunch while super hungry and tried a variety of things. Part…read moreof the reason that I wanted to visit this location is because there were a lot of mixed reviews and that always gets me really curious! Some of the reviews indicated things were oily and not that fresh which made me super nervous since I am particularly sensitive to like really oily food. We tried a crunchy taco, the macho taco, the Super macho taco that was more deluxe with chicken, a taco salad, the nachos and the sweet cinnamon chip things, I forget their name. The taco salad was about seven dollars and was so fresh and had a generous portion of meat beans, shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes in a crispy taco salad shell. My partner loved it and gave it an 8.5 out of 10. I gave it a seven out of 10 pretty good not my favorite would get again. The tostada was topped with beans, ground beef, lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese. It was wonderful and I loved it. 9/10. My daughter wanted a bite and couldn't stop eating it! The crunchy taco was amazing, probably my favorite part of the meal. It's shell was perfectly crispy and light, the meat in all of the ground beef dishes we had wasn't too oily at all but was gently spiced and didn't have a ton of "weird bits", if you know you know:) 10/10 for American style crunchy tacos. The chicken super macho taco was a tad pricier on the menu but it was fresh pleasant chicken and a great big taco wrapped in melted cheese covered soft tortilla. My partner rated it 9/10. My daughter also loved this and kept asking for bites. She got the nachos and it was a huge to go box with stadium style cheese sauce. This wasn't fancy and was topped with lettuce and tomatoes which was a nice surprise. It hit the spot but she loved the tostada and super chicken macho taco more. I tried them and loved making taco style bites with them and would rate them 7.5/10 for the style of nachos. Service was kind and helpful while we were slow with the menus and gave us large complimentary water cups upon request and were generous with the sauces on the side when we asked for extra. Ambiance I can't comment on because we used the drive thru and it was easy and convenient. 10/10 I would recommend for *simple* style offerings that have quality and fresh ingredients. This is not an authentic Mexican taqueria experience. This is not a Taco Bell experience either. But I loved it for what it was, fresh, yummy and inexpensive American taco shop offerings. 5 stars for its genre!

Visiting from Texas and more so, growing up in El Paso, I was not expecting much from any so-called Mexican food joint, especially one located in the north eastern part of Kansas, but I was pleasantly surprised and extremely impressed with the fare. We walked into a brightly lit restaurant with a few booths and tables and several vibrantly painted murals on the walls. Marta was our server and she was quick and efficient. If you look up hustling in the dictionary, I'm sure you'll find a picture of her. She was amazing, friendly and accommodating. I looked over the menu and was surprised to see such items as carne guisada and chile Colorado. I opted for the flautas which stated that they were made with flour tortillas (a Tex-Mex indicator). In my neck of the woods, flautas are made with corn tortillas so I was preparing myself for a little disappointment, but when my meal came out I was happily surprised to find that they were actually made with corn tortillas. They were delicious, perfectly crispy and the shredded chicken was flavorful. We did have to order a side of rice and beans, which seemed odd, typically flautas come on a plate WITH rice and beans in my experience so that did add to our bill. I suggest you make sure you read what is actually included and don't just assume. The rice and beans however, were extremely flavorful and authentic. My son usually eats about 1/2 the rice & bean sides, but he plowed through both leaving me with sadly, but a few bites. My husband ordered some green chile chicken enchiladas and said they spectacular. I hope we see Marta next time we're in town, because she made the entire experience memorable. I'm excited, we found an authentic Mexican restaurant that truly holds up to its name.

I'm a big fajitas fan and often order a variation of that at any Mexican restaurant we visit, and the Alambre fajitas might have just become my favorite I've EVER had. They were delicious! We also enjoyed the Pollo Hawaiano and a side of Elotes Street Corn. Mi Tierra had a hole-in-the-wall vibe that I loved with great service and even better food. If you're looking for your fix for some delicious Mexican food, look no further than Mi Tierra.
