Only a few items on this menu I order. Grilled chicken, or cheese enchiladas. Carnitas are inconsistent, shredded chicken and beef, hard pass. Very pricey! You walk out and your hair and clothing smell like this facility necessitating an immediate shower. I only go for the margaritas. Service is great though. read more

We have to come to Junction City twice a year and we always go to La Fiesta for lunch because the food is so good. That was not the case today. The food was so bland at best. There was no cheese on my enchilada or taco (and very little on my beans) and no tomatoes. The meal used to come with sour cream so I asked them for it - to make the food taste better - and they charged me $2 for it. Even the service was bad this time! I just ordered online from the menu the restaurant provided. When I got there to pick up my order, I noticed that none of the items were the price from the menu. I spent $11.00 more for 3 items than were priced online. I brought this up when paying and was told they had been dealing with that for a long time but were not willing to change the prices to reflect what I initially ordered. I was a bit skeptic when coming here with a co-workers dinner due to the current ratings, but La Fiesta definitely needs more recognition. The local is very cozy and have a lot of mayan/aztec decoration giving it a cool looking ethnic ambience. Our server was very attentive and quick with the service. Chips and salsa as soon as we sat, got me extra limes for my carbonated water and extra sour cream with my main course. The food was well seasoned, I enjoyed every bit and the portions were very generous. First time at trying this restaurant, ordered Nachos La Fiesta. Was midway thru the plate when I found a long straight hair in my food!! Informed the waiter who saw the hair himself, who informed the owner and the owner insisted I take a picture of the food. He didn't want to come to the table himself to see it. Waiter took it off our tab and was extremely apologetic. (Tried to get a good picture; but kind of hard to capture). Will NOT be coming back ! Verde sauce was good, ordered the "shredded beef" enchilada dish, it came out as "ground beef", it was good, yet disappointing, ground beef vs shredded beef, not in the same league. Great friendly and fast service! Bottomless chips and salsa never went empty and didn't have to ask. I ordered the "Yolanda" which is 3x chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. The enchiladas has tomatoes and green peppers which I didn't know of--I ended pulling it all out (because I'm a picky unhealthy eater) and basically killed the rest of the food! We were in town for a college football game. We booked a room at comfort suites and decided to try the local fair nearby. We settled on this place. Kids had quesadillas that were packed with cheese. Wife had a combo with beef enchiladas, beans, and rice. I went for the Camarones a la Diablo. The wife and kids enjoyed their meals. I was disheartened mine only came with rice and no beans or tortillas as I'm accustomed to in other restaurants. The spice was there, but I the shrimp were barely coated in any. After two hours, one of the servers brought me the wrong meal and after I told him that it wasn't it; he replied with "I don't know what you're going to eat". The second time I was brought the same wrong plate. After another 40 minutes, I received the third wrong order (similar to what I ordered initially), after one of the male waiter got disrespectful with me and offered to fight me; I decided to leave. We were staying in Abilene and stopped over in Junction City for some Mexican since it's only about 20 minutes away. It was little late on a Saturday night (~8:00pm) so we got seated right away with friendly service. The chips and salsa were an ok start. The salsa was not chunky at all and had a hint of heat. We ordered a couple of chimichangas, kids quesadilla and taco salad for dinner. Our entrees came out quickly and were tasty with fresh ingredients. We had no complaints about the food. We came out of there with full bellies and were very satisfied with our meals. I've had better Mexican back home in PA, but I've also had worse. If I come back through Kansas, I wouldn't hesitate about stopping again at La Fiesta. read more

Moved back to the US from Mexico City about 2 months ago and I was desperately craving a really good margarita and some street tacos so we decided to try this place out and I'm glad we did . It's a huge place and gets pretty filled up during the weekend but you'll get a seat because service is great and fast , things move quickly here . It also gets pretty noisy because for some reason they have all TV screens on high and loud music playing . Menu is voluminous. Food pricing is on the average. We were seated , served , we ate and we were out of there in an hour . Authentic good tasting Mexican home cooking - I kid you not , the food was good . Food was good, no complaints on food. But customer service was was terrible. The guy that serviced us couldn't understand basic English!! That's a problem. We went in for food and my fiancé was stressing out so I got her two margaritas and two shots I wanted her to relax and take some time to enjoy herself and take her mind off of a few things she was stressing over so I ordered a $5 margarita before her food arrived. She had ordered a mango margarita with sugar on the rim of the glass. They brought her a lime margarita with salt on the glass she was not happy! So they replaced it with mango and put sugar on the rim of the glass. At this point I was a little upset but she was happy so I digressed. Then our food came she ordered her tacos to have onion and tomatoes and cheese on them they turned around and charged us $1 for the onions a full bowl $1 for tomatoes a full plate when Tomato should have already been on the tacos and then they charged her $1 for the lettuce on top of the tacos and they charged her $1 for a full plate of lettuce then they charged her $3 for a bowl of cheese apparently they charge for anything ontol of the food your order. Which is bull s***t but whatever. Her order was $8.50 for her food with all the extra bullshit it should already come with they charged us $18 - $20 for her food. Then my food came and I ordered a burrito with beef and steak and the waiter didn't understand anything I said so he brought me a steak and cheese burrito my meal should have been only $12 but when I stated I asked for ground beef he came back with a full lbs of ground beef on a plate I was like What the hell I wanted it in the burrito. So they remade it. So the fact that I wanted ground beef on the burrito they charged us $5 for the additional small amount of ground beef they put in the new burrito. So then Kimberly was still stressing out so I got her a new margarita that costs $5 with extra tequila she said she wanted to feel it this time. So when my bill came my root beer was $2.50 as usual so we looked at the total price of $72 and I flipped the fuck out. I was so pissed... As a side note they only charge $5 for a margarita worth of tequila... they charged us $8 for one shot the size of a thimble with of tequila for Kimberly. Then I looked every where on the menu I could for the cost of a shot and there is no shot no cost or anything mentioning the cost of a shot. I was so pissed. Be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes before they ask you what you want to drink. You'll wait another 20 minutes for them to take your order. Traveling through after Christmas and was looking for a nice place to eat. I was a bit surprised at the cost of the meal since most Mexican restaurants in SC are pretty inexpensive. But the cost was well worth it. My daughter and I shared the arroz con pollo and it was enough to feed 3 of us. Then for dessert, they provided free churros. These were the best churros I have ever eaten. The staff was attentive and friendly. I would definitely go back there if I lived in this area. read more
