Great food and service. The tamales with the chili sauce were amazing and I love the cheese and onion enchiladas!

Food was below average and the service was even worse. Don't expect to enjoy yourself here. Service was inexperienced, slow, and rude.

Genuinely some of the lowest quality "Mexican Food" and or Restaurant food I've ever had. This restaurant is a terrible disgrace to the culture as a whole. Soggy, bland, overpriced Diner quality food. The Tacos were almost 6 DOLLARS A PIECE, and also of terrible quality. I asked for hot sauce and they said all they have is "Franks Red Hot". Margarita was also flavorless and to be honest, wasn't even sure if it had alcohol in it. The waitress was great but she didn't ask once how the food was, which i respect, because she KNOWS TOO WELL. These are probly the best Enchiladas I have ever had. This includes downtown or anywhere. My family have been going here since the early 70s when they had their restaurant with the 5 or 6 tables in it. If you are looking for THE BEST food you have ever had. Go here! Everything is fresh. It is one of the cleanest, Best personal service. They care if you are enjoying yourself. The food is quick and after youve had the right amount of chips and sauce. Your plate is warm, sometimes hot. LaFiesta truly is our family tradition! We love the family that runs this restaurant. They are so kind and friendly. Michael is always a hoot! The rest of the staff is great too. The food is Tex Mex style. They have large portions. The flautas and soft tacos are wonderful. Excellent rice and beans. The BEST chips and salsa! The restaurant is cozy and inviting, like a traditional Mexican restaurant. They have a bar that has seating. It's has its peak times where you may have to wait, but usually it's a short wait. Would like to let people know. That this restaurant is a bad place to eat at. I quit working there because of the bad habits. There's mice that run everywhere are daily bases I cleaned mice poop up People don't wash there hands, they eat food off. The line just put their fingers in get a piece of whatever they want. The owner Lupe. She is very disrespectful to her employees. I only ate French fries there, and that was it. And I watched the dishes And I told her one day Could we get a new mop? Because the old mob just really stunk. And she took me over to the distant and showed me how to wash it she threw it in the distant the same place that you washed dishes. I was mortified. I love Mexican food and coming here was true disappointment. Worst Mexican food I ever had would rather go to Tacobell and eat off the dollar menu. Overpriced food, poor quality, very bland, and served cold/luke warm. If you're looking for great Mexican food worth the money go to La Chalupas on Summit st about 10-12mins away from here. It's worth the drive if it was an hour away. The salsa was overpowered by the taste of black pepper at La Fiesta and tasted of nothing else but that. I would say the best thing here was chips but those were mediocre at best with no salt on them. Everything seemed low quality and canned and heated with a microwave. This restaurant has a long winding driveway. No lighting anywhere. The entryway is good size and decorated nicely. We went on a Saturday night and had a short 10-15 minute wait for a table. Once seated, there were plenty of empty seats, so we had our first hint that there may be a shortage in servers. Upon being seated, we got a small bowl of chips with 2 containers of salsa (hot and mild)". The chips were pretty broken and it wasn't easy finding any to scoop salsa with. The server was quick asking us about drinks and taking our order. Our margaritas were bland, no taste. In order to get a fresh bowl of chips, my husband had to get up, track anyone down, to get it. The entrees were a big disappointment. I got a tostado and mini burrito. Hubby got tamales. Our food was the blandest, most tasteless food we've ever had. Let alone being a Mexican restaurant, known for spice and heat. I hesitated to rate them because so many restaurants didn't survive the Covid locks down but then I thought the owners needed to know what customers are experiencing. Worst ever. The waiter would not shut up. I mean not chatty but gave us a talk about forcing kids to eat their food. He then became very defensive, when my friend hardly touched her plate. I seriously think he was stoned because he was not taking any social cues. The food was bad. Rice mushy, beans cold, sour cream old. The salsa came in syrup containers and tasted so old. Dry chicken and steak. Tortilla not cooked. I asked for a side of avocado and I swear to you it was four slices that were as thin as paper and smaller than an inch. I absolutely love their chips and salsa here! It's been a family staple to come here and eat, but the chips & salsa is the only reason I return! I get the mini burrito, which is amazing, consistent, and the perfect portion. I did notice street tacos on the menu, which is refreshing, since everything comes with taco sauce and cheese melted on it. (I am not complaining!) It was okay but not great. The chip salsa is either hot or extra hot, which is fine if you like spicy, but 2 in our party didn't so we had to order some queso. The queso was a little bland even though it had chorizo in it, adding a little salsa made it pretty good though! The texas style burrito was good but really meat heavy. It could definitely stand to have some more veg to balance it out a bit. The quesadilla was pretty good and so was the dinner plate. The interior is nice and the servers are friendly and attentive. I love this places chips and salsa! Their chips are super thin and they purée their salsa which I really enjoy. I mix some of the mild and hot and the flavor goes so well together. I have always just ordered the tostada dinner which I really like. My boyfriend's vegetarian and hasn't really found anything he actually likes. Drove 27 miles to try something new. We got sat right away. Chips and salsa was really good which gave us high hopes for the food. Boy was I wrong. I ordered the large nacho ($13.89). The large nacho is apparently 10 chips and they weren't even good. The middle of the plate was not even chips. It was just melted cheese. Overall, disappointing. I'm a long time customer, me and my family meet here all the time for years, this evening my server came to take my order and bring my food that was it no refills , napkins or checking on me, but checked on everyone one else. it was a older lady who attended to me more than the server, also I saw a mouse in the dining room I had just finished eating, I paid and left , I wish I had spoke with the manager there on site , I was really disgusted because I had just finished eating, I had a issue with my food as well, so I called to speak with manager about my issues she basically justified everything, stating they try to keep the mice under control and food covered, she also stated she felt like I was taken care but would speak to the server, she also said my food was good smh , I was just one person and the server waited on every other table of 2+, makes no sense to me, I yelled out when I saw the mouse I guess I should have made a big scene huh so tomorrow I'll follow the chain of commands. Oh and the manager basically said she saw that my server didn't attend to me and the other lady did , not the response you would expect from a manager she she have came to see if I was good like managers do if she noticed these things. Just sad! Beware of the mice and service/ manager. I don't know if I'll be going back there, first and foremost they need to seal off the building of any openings and exterminate! read more

I would give them 0 stars if i could. Ordered $60 worth of food and all three of us who ate the food ended up with food poisoning. Called the restaurant and spoke with the owner, who laughed on the phone and said you can report it to the health department, but im not taking blame for you guys being sick. Then proceeded to say that we just were making it up and that her food is made fresh so theres no way it was her food that gave it to us. Refused to even do a partial refund of the $$ saying it would be taking blame for it and she is absolutely never going to do that. Took a drive about 27 miles for me just to try something different for us and get out of the house . Wanted chips and salsa ordered up 2 large mild salsa and chips and a dozen pork tamales .... The salsa while a tomato paste kind of texture look to it , it taste pretty good and is very tasty the mild has a touch of heat but I couldn't put it down I kept eating. The tamales when we ordered them over the phone she asked us if we wanted them to heat them for us I thought that was a weird question at first, then when I got home quickly realized it wasn't so weird because they were frozen. Just a quick streaming though and these tasty little treats were ready to go. I will definitely take that ride again and try something else in the menu as well .... So, we've not been here in many years. Especially with Covid in the rear view now. Walking in the front of establishment, it was low business hours. Like 3:30 at the earliest in the afternoon. We were greeted by the nice young hostess they have, seated and was served rather quickly. Upon sitting in and waiting for our drinks we ordered. I looked around. My best friend and I met here last night for dinner. Unfortunately, this is not Mexican food; it's Tex-Mexish. The menu is very small (and very expensive) for the quality, and amount of food you receive. The chips and salsa are the best part of the meal; the chips are served in tiny dishes and the waitress asks if you prefer mild or hot salsa, we chose the mild. The chips are light, airy and warm, and the mild salsa has great flavor with a bit of a spicy kick. Our waitress had to refill our small dish several times throughout the evening. I should've taken a pic of how small the chip dish was. I ordered the $5 jumbo margarita (it was the special) on the rocks (regular lime flavor) and let me tell you.........there was ZERO alcohol in this drink! Also, the sour mix was insanely sour, it was terrible actually and very hard to drink, I had to add lots of water to it. Bah!! When I go to a Mexican restaurant, if the margaritas suck, I'm very nervous about the food, and I was right to be. I ordered the burrito special with (1) burrito and (1) tostada with shredded chicken for $10.79; rice and beans were an additional $3.89, so my dinner was $14.68. My BFF ordered something similar. When the waitress brought our food to us, I was shocked by how small the portions were for the price - I was expecting to need a to-go box. Nope. My dinner was kind of bland; I had to add salsa to it for flavor, and the beans and rice were cold. Our waitress was a sweetheart though. This is my favorite local Mexican restaurant in Monroe County. Kind of out in the middle of nowhere with nothing around it but worth the drive. They have great chips and salsa that free. I got with the hot salsa. Its gets your attention mildly. My favorite entree by far is the 3 beef enchiladas brown rice and pinto beans. The portions are good. The staff is very friendly and provide good service. They allow indoor us of E-Cigarettes or Vape devices! They have TV's throughout and a bar counter as well. They are usually pretty busy but the service is pretty fast. A must-try if you're in Monroe County looking for some good Mexican. 1st they said 25-35 minute wait no problem. Went to the bar to get a drink for me and my wife and bar tender didn't even look and me for 10 minutes. I just turned and went back to the lobby. Figured we be seated soon anyways. After 50 minutes and watching the lobby turn over 2x I ask were we were lady said still had 1 more group in front of us. They seated a party of 22 right before that so I had enough and we walked out. Very poor I've been going to this place for 30 years. My Husband and I stopped in for dinner this evening on our way home from Toledo. The restaurant has lovely curb appeal and it seemed to be quite crowded which would be normal for a Saturday evening. We went in and gave our name and were quickly seated. The servers were polite, prompt and very personable. The brought us a bow of chips and salsa...seriously? it was like a tiny little ice cream dish with maybe 15 chips in it. Not that we were looking to eat a lot but i've never been to a Mexican restaurant that didn't send a basket. Either way, the chips were fresh & warm and the salsa was pretty tasty. We'd later come to realize that the chips and salsa would be the best part of our meal. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas and my husband ordered the beef enchiladas. Food came out quickly and we realized why. My Fajitas came on a dish ..(again...i've never been to a Mexican restaurant...even Applebees...where the Fajitas don't come on a sizzling plate). It had a glop..and well honestly? that is the best way to describe it...a glop of cold, coagulated, refired beans that clearly came from a can...a miniscule amount of lettuce and super dry, bland rice. The chicken itself was tough and rubbery (as were the tortillas)...the chicken tasted like it was the tyson type chicken fajita strips) with some seasoning and warmed in the microwave...I literally ate one piece of the chicken and made my husband take a bit and he also said "it was horrible". ......and he is not picky usually. He ordered the beef enchiladas which came I think three to a plate? couldn't tell because the plate was overflowing with enchilada sauce and what looked to be velveeta/american type cheese because it didn't coagulate much.Good mexican restaurants usually use Queso Fresco etc. His enchiladas were dry on the inside and the shredded type beef was very tough to chew. I think there is tons of room for improvement...as soon as we left we both said "Gordon Ramsay would not be happy".... Mexican food should be flavorful, exciting and well...a party in your mouth...for us? it was more like a funeral. We looked at the reviews. Some are bad, some are good. We decided to come here and decide for ourselves. I have not been able to write a bad review in quite a while and though this might be the opportunity. We have been spoiled on good service and tasty dishes so maybe we got got complacent. The building from the outside looks Grande in a Southwest Hacienda kind of way. BEWARE, there is only one drive in and out and it is deceiving at night as to location. It is not directly in front of the building when looking in from Telegraph Road. Look for the signage and enter there, then follow the long drive. Inside... it looks like you think it does, like a collage of Mexican places you have been to in the past. Bathrooms clean, and the usual Mexican music playing from the sound system. At least these songs did not have an Accordion in them, thank God. Wednesday has $1 Margaritas, $3 Jumbo Margs, $1 drafts with Dos Equis. We tried all flavors and they were OK. My wife's Chicken Chimichanga was good, and my Chicken Fajitas were good too. The chips and salsa were in little bowls, but they kept them coming so no big deal. They did not have any bottles of Hot Sauces, just their Mild or Hot salsa for chips. The chips were light, warm, and crispy and thew Salsa was smooth rather than chunky. They probably had no bottles of Hot Sauces due to theft problems in the past, or they were just being cheap if they never had them to begin with, or they were confidant that their Salsas would suffice any taste. I don't know. They are out in the sticks.... but on Telegraph Road. If you are in Toledo there is no reason to come out here, you already have plenty to choose from in T-Town. We went here to eat yesterday...like always...the salsa was great...I tried something new...a burrito and a texas enchalada...the burrito was nothing but a flour tortilla with melted cheese on top...the tex enchalada was just ok also...the sad thing about it was...I ordered ground beef...there was no flavor to it...as if they just brown the burger with nothing other than maybe salt...very boring taste. I have been going to LaFiesta for 50 years, since they were located north of Monroe. The recipes have not changed much through the years, which is why it is still my favorite. Nothing, regardless of what "star value" you see here, comes close. Last year we moved to the Orlando area and still, nothing comes close. I'm not a big fan of Mexican food in general, so I'm not the one to listen to if you love it. But, for what it's worth, I've been here a few times now and I find everything mushy and similar. Everything seems almost soggy. I stick to mostly chicken dishes, but it's seemed the same for beef. Only a couple of beers on tap, Dos Equis and one of the standard American beers that I can't remember. Beer was reasonably priced. Seems like you wait a while here for a table, but once your seated, you see empty tables all around. I've been there each time on a Friday night, so that's obviously a busy night and probably not the norm. I'd give it 1 star for myself, but my friends really like it, so there must be some reason for that, and my bias against Mexican food isn't the restaurant's fault. read more

I remember when this place was at the original location! I haven't been there since i was maybe 11 or so... Stopped in for a quick workday lunch meeting earlier this week. Service was accurate and quick, we were seated promptly, the restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, the food was pretty middle-of-the-road mexican fare; not bad, but nothing mind-blowing either. The chips and salsas were a solid 3 out of 5 stars-- unless you mixed the two salsas together-- then we're talking tasty! Opted for tamales and a cup of the house creamy chicken soup. Both were yummy. Another member of my party ordered the small taco salad, which she said was the perfect size and very tasty. The third member of our party ordered fajitas and seemed satisfied with them. Like I said, not bad food, just nothing that will knock your socks off, either.
