Okay folks, I am probably one of the pickiest restauranteers out there due to my allergies and food…read moresensitivities. And I like everything about this place. Clean, neat, modern. I enjoy the preppy students doing homework on their computers to us old folks enjoying a soup and salad while people watching. They bring in new seasonal items to break up the monotony of the same old same old. And I like their app. I order ahead and go pick it up. Easy peasy. The black bean soup is my current go to and their salads are always fresh and delicious. They were out of mixed greens once but I think they let me substitute with arugula. It was still good. I don't eat much bread due to the carbs but I buy their bagels on Tuesday and get their special price for a dozen and freeze all of them but two after I get home because it takes a while for my husband to eat them. They defrost well every time and he says they're his favorite. We don't buy bagels from anywhere else. The drink club is fun too. I recently had to stop after two years of drinking their hibiscus tea only because I have a crappy stomach but those servers were always pleasant and prompt when I pulled up in the rapid line for another cup full. And I admit I enjoyed seeing if I could buy the monthly limit. Lol Never made it because it was a generous amount.

All appeared as though they had not been given enough rise time in the store (or before being flash frozen at the bakery) before baking. Did not purchase bagels today. We did purchase a couple of sweet pastries, but since I expected a product prepared elsewhere the quality was acceptable. We could have gotten the same or fresher at the nearby Kroger. But we might as well have bought bagels and pastries at COSTCO last week and brought them home to freeze. As a retired operations manager for a department store with a snack bar, I know that soft drink spills happen. I also have taught team members how to clean spills effectively. I found the seating area floor to be "sticky" because of poor mopping practices. I would be astonished if the floor in the food preparation area wasn't equally "sticky" or grimy. I would also be astonished if the same mop and mop water that was used to clean restrooms wasn't used throughout the restaurant. Clean rinsed mops, fresh hot water, detergent and sanitizer (bleach) repeated at least twice followed with a clean water rinse is needed to get restaurant floors clean. This franchise can do better.

I went to an Olive Garden back when living in Miami, FL and I was not happy at all with the service. It was noisy, crowded, chaotic, etc. I went to celebrate a friend's 21st birthday years ago in Miami and never ever returned back into one of these places ever because it just was a bad memory for me. I had been a server for a few years by that point but I have to say that this one in Greenfield was the exact opposite, like legit night and day. It was crowded the night my parents and I went, like shockingly so. The parking lot was full which made finding a parking spot a little harder. There was a wait to get in but it reminded me of the waiting area for Macaroni Grill in Doral, FL. There was classic Italian music playing so I couldn't complain about that. The vibe was pretty chill too. I was pleasantly surprised. I imagined it being so loud and busy and unenoyable but this was the exact opposite. The aesthetic was refind, elegant, demure. We waited maybe like 30 minutes or so at most and then we were sat in a booth somewhat away from the larger tables. There is this touchscreen device you can play games on or order food on or summon your server for. Our server's name was Autumn. She was amazing, cordial, kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable. She had recommendations for me and everything and I am picky. I believe I went with the Chicken Marsala which was so delicious. Honestly, I was blown away by the service and quality of the food. The ambiance was nice like the lighting and the menu was just extensive enough that there were a wide variety of options. There were also plenty of drink options which i did not partske in, but we did have wine. I really appreciated the endless breadsticks and soup. So yummy. This would be a percect place for family gatherings and such or even a first date. I mean I would not have minded being taken there and it was also quite affordable. The manager was also kind enough to speak with us as well. We learned he was a native Floridian from Perrine, FL which was neat. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience that I severely underestimated. If I was in Greenfield again, I would definitely go back. The manager was kind and diligent as was Autumn. I honestly did not expect it to be that kind. Food was warm, good quality, nice portion sizes, amd delicious. I was so happy to leave woth leftovers:)

I was disappointed…read morethat the online booking tool did not allow me to enter a special occasion so the restaurant had no idea it was our anniversary. There is apparently no difference in service. My hubs ordered a glass of merlot and I ordered their lemon/blueberry martini. The merlot was nice but the martini was out of this world. My new fave drink! We started with the asparagus dip and again, the best we'd ever tried. We ordered their smothered chicken and an off menu pasta with sausage. Both were incredible. I wanted to try their pasta so I ordered a side of fettuccine in herbed butter. It too was lovely. The venue is in the basement of a former Carnegie Library. It's a little dark and has a speakeasy feel. We turned the lamp on our table to a brighter setting to see a bit better. Our server was Chris. He is very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the food, business and building. The GM, Jeremy, gave us a tour of the upstairs portion of the building where they hold specialty events. Overall, we loved all of our evening and were able to have this experience right at $100 for both of us. We'll be back!

NY strip wrapped Asparagus was good but not something I'd get again ... kind of bland. My SO ordered Pork Parmesan over spaghetti but didn't like it as much as I liked the smothered chicken. It had great flavor and texture with mashed potatoes and green beans. With the new ownership, I was hoping for an upgrade in the dining area. We went on a weekday for a special occasion... my SO's birthday. They gave him a card which was a nice gesture but service was slow for a slow night. The room was freezing... the door opens and the cold rushes into the basement-like dining room. It's still too dark (couldn't see the menu without using our phone flashlight). The chairs are not comfortable. Overall it's too expensive for me and it'll be a long time before I go again. (We tend to drive to Fortville for dinner and are never disappointed with multiple restaurants to choose from. ) The reason I gave a 3 is because of the service, the room temperature and the fact that we only really enjoyed the chicken dish. They also might serve a piece of cake for a birthday if they wanted to impress me... lol.

This place has been a hit with my "21+" family due to the great food, great location, and usually good service. Minors are not allowed. Our most recent visit yesterday had less than awesome service but maybe she was having a bad day. The building is old with lots of wood paneling ... very comfy. There are several other wonderful restaurants in Fortville which is great for me as I have several choices. I never would have guessed that this tiny suburb would have such epic cuisine!

I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!
