we came in during the weekday and it was pretty busy but we're seated within 5 minutes. when we got our table, it took a while to get served. it seemed like a new server getting the hang of things so we didn't think much of it. we ordered the steak and shrimp bucatini and alfredo fettuccini. both were delicious and hit the spot. steak and shrimp cooked very well too. we also got the chicken and gnocchi soup and while it was good, it wasn't really hot, more of a warm temperature. overall, blake, our server, did a fantastic job and did his best for being new. he was respectful, prompt, kind, and professional. we had a great meal nonetheless. read more

Disappointed. I had waited a week for my visit to this location. I wanted to explore thier soups so I ordered the all you can eat soup, salad and bread sticks. I was served one bowl of soup. The wait person never offered another bowl. Our salad bowl sat empty and was never refilled. Even down to my drink, my glass sat empty throughout my meal. Very, very disappointed in this visit. Olive Garden was on my mind because in the many years that I have been there the staff was always professional and friendly at the same time. Great service until yesterday. My first request, fried shrimp, never arrived. My two friends had soup, I requested the same, never arrived. Entrees were served. I requested chicken alfredo or something similar. Received noodles with alfredo sauce. I don't know this person and have never been treated so badly. I would like for someone to check her attitude. Food is always exceptional. They have a bar. I ordered Soda Water with a lemon and lime muddled at the bottom of a glass with ice. The waitress did not indicate in anyway that she had questions about my order. I got a 1 liter bottle of Natural spring water that I paid $5 for - I got a glass with no ice and a lemon and lime in a dish. She said they didn't have club soda - I ordered Soda Water pressed from the bar - she said they didn't have that. And the bottle was open - I realized later - when it was brought to the table. I decided to treat myself to Calamari and Carbonara tonight which never disappoints especially when accompanied by an Italian margarita!!! Superb as always! However, when a lady (especially one of the white haired generation like me) walks in and is greeted with "Just one??" It deflates my mood immediately. We only rarely visit an Olive Garden. Usually, that's due to long waits and other local Italian options. We had arrived in Manhattan, KS after a long drive. One of our party suggested Italian, so I scanned local restaurants for venues. It turned out that the nearest non-chain Italian place was about 18 miles back the way we'd just arrived. However, there was an Olive Garden just over a mile from our hotel. My choice was easy. It was a Saturday around 6 p.m. I called ahead and got on their wait list, though the wait was said to be only ~ 10 minutes. We then drove over and discovered that the restaurant was located in the extended parking lot and surrounding stores of a large mall. This also contributed to it being a bit hard to access; you had to use an entrance to the lot significantly down the street. It took long enough so that I got the text about our table being ready before I'd even parked so I guess it all worked out... We were then seated upon arrival. Guests were still required to wear masks en route to their table, but took them off after being seated. Service started out a bit slow. They have some device on the table that shows you some (but not all?) of the menu, and which may or may not let you pay there... It also had a feature to blink a light to attract a server, which we used. It appeared that maybe they were still finding the balance between reduced-traffic for COVID vs. commensurate staffing. I could certainly sympathize with that. From that point things were fine. We got bread and salad fairly quickly. The entrees were fine. I finished mine, my wife had leftovers that she took to the hotel, and my daughter finished most of hers (but was not a huge fan of whatever she ordered). I placed a to go order for a lasagna, and a special they had on spaghetti to go, as well as three meatballs. When I got home, there were no meatballs in the lasagna package, even though it said they were there. They credited me for the cost of the meatballs. I did not want the spaghetti without the meatballs. I live on the other side of town. They wanted me to drive all the way back to pick up three meatballs, but everything else would be cold by then. In fairness, I order to go from them a lot, and usually it's OK, but I've had missing meatballs before. I got in the car and immediately opened the calamari, my husband I was really disappointed when we saw the calamari that looks like it just came out of microwave it was really soggy, taste bland and didn't have any crunch to it. This visit took exactly a year ago. My friend had a birthday and he lives literally across the street from the Olive Garden. We walked over to check it out. This was my first visit, and watching those OG commercials made me want to experience the family style environment, with the quirky, yet witty banter with a few of my close friends. I wanted that laughter where the son makes a joke, and everyone laughs. That's what I was expecting. The place looks huge on the outside, but inside it's spread out but it feels crowded to me. I believe it's their attempt to maximize their space by squeezing as many tables as possible. The tables outside of the booth are put together too close, so if there's an over weight person sitting on the table next over, it may be a tight squeeze for you to sit down. Their menu is fairly huge, so there is a lot to choose from. I stuck with the unlimited salad, soup, and bread sticks for I believe 7-8 dollars. The salad was simple and good, and the bread sticks... I swear I would work one hour there a week just to get free bread sticks. They are that good, and will fill you up if you have too many. Soup was good, and they do let you change soups if you want to try something different. Drinks - They let you sample I believe up to 4-5 wines for 50-75 cents I believe. Which is a hell of a deal, considering the guy who served us, gave us a little bit more than the sample. So if you like trying out different wines, you can get it cheap. Service wise they are fairly timely with checking your drinks and making sure you have enough bread sticks or anything. Our waitress was very nice, even though we teased her a bit. What I did not like: That every 1 out of 3 tables/booths there was a baby. When there is a baby, they are loud and annoying. I know this is a family style restaurant, but they consistently crying and screaming made it not so pleasant. I didn't see anyone act like they did in the commercial, so we had to fake our laughs and pretend we were living it up! So if you want to fill up on food, you will not leave hungry at all. read more

It's started it off nice some blonde girl was very kind and opened the door for me and asked how I was doing then I was seated quickly and waited for the rest of my party to arrive after they arrived and ordered and got our food it was the last time we seen our waitress we didn't get any refills and when we were done we pushed the button to call for our waitress which was completely ignored for 30 minutes while they kept going two tables with bigger parties than us which I assume because becuase we are all in are early 20s they looked at as light tippers since there was only 3 of us so the other two tables were well taken care of while we are sitting for 30-40 minutes on our boxes until the manager finally saw us waiting even though it was not busy at all and came up to us and asked if we had been taken care of which we hadn't and we finally got our boxes and military discount if I was the manager I'd have the lady holding the door as a waitress because she was way kinder than our waitress who wouldn't even address us or give us refills read more

This Olive Garden had the worst customer service I ever been apart of, when my family and I enter the establishment the manger and his staff look at us with disgust and after we took out seat we had to wait a while for service. No greeting or nothing and waited to be served was a no go. Then we seen waiters and waitresses joking around while we wait to be served. Look I got it, it's good to have fun on the job but the rudeness in the beginning and the long wait we just left without ever being served. This place is normally my favorite, but it seems as though we had a server this evening that didn't want to go the usual route... as in I have been wined and dined here before and today not so much. First off, after introducing himself he asked what we wanted to drink... I asked for water, the server asked if I would like lemon with, I replied "Yes, please!" My husband requested iced tea with no lemon... he never asked if we would like to sample or have any wine (normally this is always asked) and without a word promptly took away wince glasses and walked off... So I've always been a fan of The OG, but being a recent transplant to Manhattan you always have the uncertain reservation of the possiblity of a bad experience, thankfully that was not the case, last night me and a friend (who also hadn't been to an OG in a number of months and also is an alumni of Cheddars) had the experience which we would compare to the launch of spaceX. Our server Michael (last name starting with a B) was that server that not only is polite, knowledgeable, and funny but someone who against your better judgement lead you through to experiencing something more on the menu than the safe choice you always end up choosing. Overall, we love this location, which surprised me. I've been in Olive Garden locations elsewhere that were NOT impressive, at all, and didn't even have food that was all that great. Here, however, we have been quite happy. The atmosphere is the first thing you notice. Other locations were like an Italian-style Denny's, but this place is great; nice decor, arranged so seating is varied, and seems more private and cozy, and overall a warm, comfortable feel to the place. The staff is always, ALWAYS, good, both friendly, fast, and professional. The food is, as a rule, excellent. We order different things, and are always happy. The gnocchi soup is awesome, and the stuffed mushrooms are so good they almost make a meal all by themselves. My personal favorite is the beef and tortelloni with portobello mushrooms. Usually an amazing dish, I was disappointed the last time we visited, because the flavor was simply off. Everything else was as usual, and I don't know what happened with that dish, that time. Overall recommended, and don't let your experiences at other locations in this chain keep you away from this one. It's a little pricier than some places, but well worth it. read more

A manager had her kid sit at the bar where she whined and fussed until mom came and picked her up and finally carried her away. Dinner for 1 was over 20 bucks with the tip. No drink; just water. Food was standard but service was SLOW on this Sunday at 11am First of all I asked if I could be seated at this table near a specific window because we were traveling with a pet and I had the air running in my truck. You would have thought I was asking for the moon because they "had no wait staff for that table" I said "ok that is fine" yet 5 minutes later there were folks seated at that table...must have been a commission thing? Regardless it was no huge deal What was a problem as it turned out was the extremely slow service we got. The waitress seemed unorganized just like a previous reviewer stated.
