Charged $30 for two waters, fajitas and a salmon. The salmon looked like it was someone else's salmon left over and reheated and my chicken was so dry. Blandest "Mexican" food I've ever had in my life. Husband threw up in the parking lot. A little disappointed - only took us about 10 minutes to get seated - Watch for a Saturday night is pretty darn good - and we were quick to order our food but then it was 45 minutes before our food came to the table and it was cold! I know people are having trouble finding workers but I think they should consider closing off part of the restaurant as I would've much rather waited 30 minutes to sit but then gotten hot food in a timely manner - obviously the problem wasn't the cook since it was done but it sat somewhere for quite a while before it was brought to our table. The restaurant itself was cold as well so after sitting in a cold restaurant for almost an hour it was very disappointing to then get cold food. The salsa is very good, but chips were thick and hard. The "seat yourself"protocol was not welcoming in the slightest. When the server finally came, we felt very rushed, but then our food didn't come out until it was Luke warm with dry beans. The shrimp in the combo fajita was delicious despite the other food on the plate being dried out. The steak, however, was grisly, fatty bits. The service and atmosphere is great. It's always busy. Everyone there is super friendly. I have never been impressed with the food here though which is disappointing. La Fiesta, you are back! We were frequent customers for many, many years and about 2yrs ago, there was a huge decline in the quality and we quit going. We tried about 4-5 months ago and it was still terrible, but the decor was changing. Decided to try again tonight and I'm glad we did! They had a Hawaiian Fajita special that was amazing...something new. I had my former favorite...the LaFiesta Cheese steak burrito. The steak was good quality, not chewy like rubber, nice flavor. The ambiance definitely has a new more traditional look and flair. We will definitely get back for more frequent visits! read more

So we were a fan at their old location and had been there many times. We went back after they went to their new location and still love it. The staff there is awesome and the food, YUM!!!!!! We enjoy the authenticity of the food and the rice is great. You can't lose at this place, but get there early because they are busy busy busy! In the summertime, they also have outdoor seating. We even have been happy with our orders when we order 'to-go'. Sometimes, you even get extra rice with to-go orders. The hardest part will be what to choose to eat. Bueno! read more

The morton La Fiesta has many factors that should be considered. It is iffy on what kind of service you will get, the times me and my family have been there they have either ignored us or waited on us well. I'm re-reviewing the La Fiesta Restaurante Mexicano Bar and Grill. The reason for the this review is that they very recently moved to their brand new facility (1101 W. Jackson ST, Morton IL) and with the new diggs comes a fresh review. I am happy to say that they kept all the good things such as friendly employees, quick service, and what I consider great value priced Mexican cuisine and left behind a dilapidated building on the dead end of a shopping center. Even though they only moved 1500 feet or so, the difference in patronage is like night and day. Before, I rarely saw over 15 - 20 diners at any given time. Now the place is swarming with diners and I saw bunches of new employees tending to their needs. The new building (situated close to the Pizza Ranch) seats over 200. It has a nice sized full service bar area with some table seating and bar seating for about 15. Walking through the area I noticed multiple Margarita machines, a wide variety of mixers, a bunch of domestic and imported beer choices. Food prices, quality and choices remain unchanged. They still have freshly made complimentary chips and what may arguably be the best salsa in the area. The menu boasts 36 combination options, 25 restaurant specialties, 17 fajita specialties, in addition to the lunch and vegetarian specials. PHEW! If you are new to the place you can consume half of your chips before you decide. Luckily, We had our favorites (Juan's special chicken$9.95 and chicken/beef fajitas $12.95) so deciding was not too hard. Even though the place was jumping, our meals were delivered relatively quickly. Our server checked back regularly and refilled our sodas ($1.99 each) when they got low. All totaled we were out the door for less than $30.00. If you are looking for a really good "south-of-the-border" meal I suggest you drop in to the new La Fiesta Restaurante, located at West Jackson Street, Morton illinois. ¡Buen provecho! read more

I stopped here while in Peoria visiting a Cannabis Grow facility. I was as high as a kite and had the munchies so I grabbed nachos here. The atmosphere is good, the staff is friendly and the food is excellent. I "High"ly recommend coming here! I also eat gluten Free GF because I'm celiac. We went in for taco salads tonight. The taco salads are very dry and hard to eat. You have to choke them down. My taco salad at something in it that was not supposed to be in a taco salad. I have been on a Mexican sojourn and have come up with some authentic places in Peoria. La Fiesta was a place I'd seen going in and out of Morton. Bottom line based on the crab enchilada special I'll not go back. The chips and salsa were very good...the enchiladas were very bad. I believe in truth in advertising and even though the eight dollar price on the special should have tipped me off that the filling would be made with "pollock" crab. Nice atmosphere, adequate service... maybe it will be worth another try with something more in line with a Mexican experience. read more
