Located in central Santa Maria across from the Santa Maria Mall, they were easy to find and provided convenient parking. Walking into the store...we were greeted immediately by the Associates at the front register/counter. The first impression was one of amazement...this store had a huge selection of what seemed like everything western. Clothing, Hats, Boots, Belts, Jewelry and more! Several Associates (Sierra,Gabriela) offered their assistance, and both provided knowledgeable, professional and excellent customer service! I enjoyed the shopping and due to the prices being reasonable...ended up purchasing not only a Stetson Hat but a pair of Black Ariat Boots as well. Now I'm ready for a night on the town and to kick up ma heels and dance a "wicked" Cotton-Eye-Joe with my best gal! Join the mailing club and receive a post purchase "points" coupon...complete the receipt on line survey and get another 5 dollar off coupon. It was pretty early on a Sunday and at the time they were one of the few shops that were open. I began talking to the employee and lo and behold the employee was the owner. I mentioned to her that since I was a kid my family would make annual trips to Pismo and we always came into her shop because it was "cool" and wasn't like anything we had in the Valley. This tradition has been going on for 39 years now. I mentioned to her that since having my own son (9y/o) he loves to go in and check out the merch. He had been looking for a Joe Montana jersey and during this particular visit and the one prior, the store was out of stock. The owner was nice enough to ask for my phone number and said when they got a new shipment she would let me know. Well, she held true to her word and contacted me about a week ago. We conversed via text and I asked for shipping details, price, etc and she was gracious enough to ship me the jersey and it arrived within a couple of days. The point of this post is that The Sports Forum is unlike any other sports memorabilia store you'll fined in or out of the area. The fact that the owner went out of her way to contact me and take the time to ship me the jersey speaks volumes of her and her business. I'd shop here or contact the Forum before going to a large chain store (i.e. LIDS) for their uniqueness, hospitality and prices. Thank you again and we hope to pop in soon!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. First, I tried to call to find out if they were open. The phone number(s)…read morelisted on the internet are out of service. That was warning #1. Then I tried to check out their website which is also no longer in service. Warning #2. We decided to stop by anyway since they are local. Walking in, it had a faint smell of marijuana. There were three individuals sitting on the couches chatting off the side room. There were three young men behind the counter. One was setting up a scooter, the second man was helping the one customer besides us that was there, and the third was standing around looking like he had nothing to do and avoiding all eye contact with me. The front door had a sign that said Masks Required. Two of the three employees were NOT wearing a masks. The three individuals socializing in the side room were also not wearing masks. No one greeted us or said they will be with us shortly. Poor customer service. I asked the man if my daughter can use the restroom while we waited and he pointed to the door that said Employee Only. My 8-year-old was disgusted by what she saw so I went to check it out. The restroom was trashed! Random garbage all over, clothing, electrical cords all over the floor and sink. It looked like someone was living in the small bathroom. We decided she would not use the restroom. After having waited about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge our presence, we left and they lost our business.
