This morning, I missed my aqua size class, but fortunately at 1 o'clock I was able to take a senior fit class with Ella for the first time. I know Ella from a previous class which she is not teaching any longer. To my surprise, she was here today and I was so excited. She is an unbelievable instructor and even though I'm pretty fit, I thought I would try this class because it fit into my schedule. It's amazing how new classes attack different muscles in your body and you can see how it helps you. I know that Ella changes her exercise routine regularly. She is an amazing instructor, and I hope to have her again in the future. read more

I had to pay more to be able to use this " signature" gym Because my membership covered every other gym I went to and so far I don't know why this is called a gym, other than a sign on the front says it is. Pretty standard LA fitness experience. I still have no idea what makes this a "signature club" though. Large parking lot, always plenty of spots. Some little lockers up front for your keys, or a locker room (byo lock) in the back. There's fitness classes that always seem to be way more packed than at any other LA fitness I've ever been to. Some even fill up and you can't get in. I love the big turf area, although I wish it were near a mirror. Lots of cardio equipment, there's only been one time where all the treadmills and step masters were taken, and it was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. When I first went into LA Fitness to join, I was rather unimpressed with the staff that I met. I later met an assistant manager named Dan who was very personable, and knowledgeable so I decided to join. I went to one water aerobics class, and was less than impressed, and actually considered Quitting since that was one of the things I really wanted to do. The same instructor was going to be teaching another class that I was interested in but I wasn't excited about trying another one of her classes so I didn't go. This morning I went to an aqua fit class taught by Thomas and it was much better. It wasn't exactly the water aerobics that I was hoping for - I was looking for more of a dance type class with music that was not necessarily quite as contemporary, but this class did what it was supposed to do and I do look forward to going back. Just as I was getting ready to leave I started talking with a very lovely woman at the front desk named Jenn. Jenn has me excited to come back in and get started on the elliptical and do some extra workout just so I could break my diet plateau, the more I am in the gym, the more I think I will find this a good place for me. read more

I have been a member of LA fitness for about five years. I just wanted to give out a shout to Jennifer the manager who goes above and beyond for the patrons. If I could give a 0 star review I would. I have been a member since 2021 and always been nice to staff, I actually have numerous friends that have worked at the location. The owner of the location "Jennifer" has always given dirty looks to me when I come in and even when greeting with a "hey how are you" as I'm walking in, only to be blatantly ignored. This is not where the problem lies though, the sauna has been "under renovation" for 3 damn years and everyone that used to come here has already canceled their membership and switched over to the BETTER gym in the area "e.o.s.", I have been giving the benefit of the doubt for months now just because of how long I've been a member. When I went in today Jennifer and her daughter were working at the front desk and her daughter was very nice, greeting me, while her mother Jennifer was full of rage and anger, I've heard stories from previous employees, friends, even my own brother that she is overly aggressive, will insult you, etc. and to be honest I didn't fully believe it until today when I was scanning my brother in as one of my guests. She gave me problems saying "he needs to sign a waver" as if he wasn't a member for 2 years longer than me before canceling just a month ago. She was just trying to give us a hard time. She then called me "aggressive" when i scoffed for her giving me and my brother a hard time and stared at me from the desk through out my entire hour and a half workout. WE JUST WANT TO WORK OUT... Her ego and cockiness in this business shows why this location is falling apart, I now will be canceling my membership tomorrow and I will update you on her response to me. I hate to blame the entire company for her wrongdoing, but with how long she's been in the business, you expect some professionalism. I have been a day one member at this gym, and the recent treatment from the staff has been the worst of any gym I have ever been to. I was paying $45 a month for the "Signature" Club, which is more than anywhere else. I was told my membership was going to be lowered, which never happened. There is no "Signature Club", all they have is white towels at the front. The sauna is always broken, so do not waste your time or money. I have been to multiple standard LA fitnesses that have better equipment and commodities. Most of the staff is friendly, however Jen in particular is constantly rude and disrespectful. I called cooperate to figure out the membership pricing issue, and shortly after Jen called me personally to ask why. I thought she was calling me to lower my membership, which is what LA cooperate told me, which was not the case. She simply called me to ask why I mentioned her name to cooperate and began getting frustrated over the phone for no reason. After cancelling my membership, I went in to workout with a friend using his guest pass when I was in town. Jen gave me and my friend attitude and did everything in her power to not let me workout at the location. She recognized me and was extremely rude and short, while treating other members with respect. I have been nothing but nice for over 4 years, and one simple conversation about lowering my membership changed the way I was treated. Overall, there are countless gyms that are better for your dollar and will get treated better. EOS, the brand new gym, is a much better bank for your buck. Do not waste your time or money. read more

This gym is a little on the small side and there were quite a few people there. The staff was friendly and the other lifters there are respectful and don't waste time. At some other gyms people use a rack or weights but spend more time on their phone then actually lifting. The people here are pretty motivated and get things done so while crowded you can still get your time in. Took my daughter to the kids club where a 10 year old girl (my daughter is two) was actively harassing and picking on her. It started when the ten year old bit another kid and then blamed my two year old. More recently I went to pick up my child and my husband was with me when the 10 year old proudly told us she touched my daughter on her diaper and was allowed to "touch her there" called corporate, nothing was done so we had to cancel our memberships. read more

Arrived at this location on a Wednesday around 930-10am. Prior to joining Active and Fit Direct, I was part of La Fitness and was able to attend any location whether signature or not. Thankfully, there was no one at the desk or at least no one paying attention. Although, it dawned on me my app beeped like it usually does. I didn't realize it until after that I probably wasn't allowed. Nonetheless, this is one of the worse L.A fitness locations I have ever been too. I applaud that they offer a ton of sanitizing solutions but there is not enough machines to accommodate the influx of clienteles at this particular location. Teens stand around in there PJ'S in the middle of a walkway. How does a signature gym allow people to workout in PJ'S? The amenities are nice but, not different from what my mother-in-law's clubhouse has to offer. I personally would not recommend joining this club. read more

Too often service down..just now Steam Sauna is not working for a week & when some equipment breaks (jacuzzi, saunas or pool) take a long to get repair. But most of staff members are nice and greet you with a smile and the facility is very clean. read more

Came to this location because my local la fitness is closed for renovation. Didn't know till I got there but it's a signature location which means they have newer equipment, upgraded locker rooms, bigger pool, towel service, and a Pilates room. Everything was very clean (machines, bathrooms, etc..), I normally warm up on the treadmill and this one was indeed very upgraded. I had tons of space for my stuff which was super convenient! As far as downsides I would say the space is very small and everything is cramped up which is kinda a bummer. Other then that its a good place to go workout. I also love how they have their foam rollers in a set organized spot. read more

I was not happy with the way the swimming pool is used, always needed to rush through my swimming's, since either someone was asking to share the same lane or just invited themselves in! People get out of sauna and just bath in the pool, without showering and considerate of hygiene. Reported to manager but don't now the outcome! read more

I am avid gym rat visiting from New York and I feel compelled to take the time to give JANET a 5 star review after taking several of her body sculpting classes. In my humble opinion, there are two strong components that comprise a good workout class. The first being the workout routine itself. She keeps her class "alive" by changing the routine...So you are not doing the same mundane exercises every time you walk in her class. Secondly, her music is GREAT. What makes the music great is that you recognize most of her playlist. She isn't blasting some obscure tunes that you've never heard before. Some of these instructors have to know their audience and Janet hits the ball out of the park. She makes an hour workout seems like it flies by.... read more

Smaller facility that regular LAF; this LAF Signature fitness has a higher turnover of staff. Some staff members are nice and greet you with a smile. Current Operations Manager (so she claims) is ill-mannered and has very poor customer service. Corporate needs to remind (or train this person) that customers are first and that you solve customers' requests with a smile, not with a nasty or a fake look on her face. Competitors in this market area are popping up; the likes of Crunch and EOS. This signature location in Boynton has already seen a reduction in membership. What's gonna take this location further down is the lack of customer service from this so-called operations manager. A fake person like this lady will not help matters in this location get any better!! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!!! This place doesn't even deserve a star. So yesterday my daughter had a guest pass and the woman at the desk of whom refused to give her name said it wasn't valid. So we left and went to The AMAZING location on Congress. We were helped there and were greeted with apologies for the behavior of that person. They took care of us and we signed up there. We then proceeded to come again to the Boynton Beach Blvd location and low and behold we were treated even worse by 2 more females. Jen was one and when I asked her last name as the Congress location asked me, another female jumped in and interrupted and said she doesn't have to give you that. And the venom in her voice could be felt. I was then told to ask her name and she replies with a NASTY voice "Kimberly District manager". I said to her she didn't have to be nasty. The Congress location generates a guest pass so I could at least workout and we would fix the problem when I went to that location. I scan the QR and they DENY ME ACCESS!!! I'm like what is the issue? Kimberly tells me that the pass is only good for Congress and she gave me a go to Hell look. I remained calm and called to let them know. They told me that was not true and asked to speak with Kimberly. He handled it very professionally despite her lying to him that the QR scan wasn't working. That was appalling to say the least. He was frustrated with her behavior and asked to speak with the GM, Moe. She then questioned why he needed to speak with him and got nasty to that employee. It was all on speaker phone and I video recorded so I would have proof if I ever needed it. I think that it's a prerequisite at this location to be a biage or bootiehole in order to get hired. The entitlement and rudeness is beyond and it's with 4 of 5 people I encountered in less than 24 hours. read more

I've had a very good experience so far, there's a lot of group exercise classes tailored to every level of ability, at various times of the day, even Sundays, they're website is easy to navigate & lays out all the classes at every gym for the day, it couldn't be easier, I'm very happy read more

Previously, I would've raved about this LA fitness, but I have had far too many poor experiences with the owner to the point I had to cancel my membership. Jennifer, the owner, has been nothing but rude and nasty towards me and my friends have had similar encounters. Not only is Jennifer wildly under qualified in customer service, she makes my experiences uncomfortable by her dirty glares, back handed comments, and presence overall. Do better. read more

It took several months but it was time to get back into the gym and wow! So glad I found this brand spanking new LA Fitness Signature location. Not the closest to my home but so glad I ventured out! New facility (opened 2021) Clean facility, visible pandemic-compliance, members may use a dedicated spray bottle during workouts. Lots and lots of space, a variety of exercise equipment and fitness resources as is typical of most large gyms. Love the many amenities: Aqua and classroom Fitness classes with daily schedules, Sauna, steam room, hot tub, Olympic size swimming pool, clean women's locker room area, outfitted shower area with body wash, shampoo and conditioner - gotta love this total Gym-Spa experience. I would like to give zero stars. I joined for the classes and they are often cancelled. I have the app and heck and the class is listed but I get there and it's cancelled. This happens repeatedly with the Thursday, 5:45 Body Works Class ever since Kim (who was great) left as the Instructor. Other classes are routinely cancelled or have terrible subs. The only current reliable instructor is Beth C. who teaches the Monday and Wednesday 4:30 yoga. She is terrific!! When asked at the front desk to speak with the manager of course they were not available. If you want classes, DON NOT JOIN THIS GYM!! And LA Fitness, fire the manager and/or the class manager. It does not take a rocket scientist to know that if class is cancelled, it should be posted on the app ASAP. I checked the app just before leaving for tonight's class and it still said Anna was teaching. Fire her too, she neve shows up!! read more

This gym was decent a couple of years ago. Now they don't even clean it. There are ripped handles on the Lat Bars, weights all over the floor, and machines are filthy with dust collecting on top of them. I've worked in gyms my whole life and it doesn't take much to maintain cleanliness if everyone does a little each day. Very disappointed for a gym that costs over $30 a month. I go to this gym and never had a problem with anyone. However, my 18 year old son went in there today with a friend, using a guest pass that Dan had given him. The friend works in a store nearby. After they worked out, Dan apparently tried to get my son to pay $20, and ripped up the guest pass in front of him. He gave him a hard time about getting his IS back. Keep in mind- Dan calls my sons friend every day to try to get him to sign up. Why give someone a guest pass with your name on it, then accuse them of stealing it? Trying to take advantage of teenagers is not a good look for you, Dan, or LA Fitness. Also, when my son was there back in March, more than 6 months ago, he did pay $20 for a guest pass. He personally zelled one of the managers. I wonder if that money ever got to corporate? read more

Okay, the machines are good models. And the gym is reasonably clean and usually not too crowded. Good WiFi - unless it drops, which only happens every 2-3 visits. But you'd expect them to maintain the equipment. Sheesh! Worn out pads. Missing extra 5 and 10 lb loose weights for boosting on machines that go up in 15+ lb increments. And the TVs on the stair masters -- no local channels, low volume, some are full of static and others don't work at all. Lastly, the heart rate monitors on the stair masters are a joke. Not just broken, not just imprecise, but crazy inaccurate and all over the place. Issues I reported a year ago were met with "yea we know but the parts are on back order" - still not fixed. That's some kind of back order! What actually is clear is that the money that used to go to maintenance budget is now going to the bottom line - ie more money to the investors. And this is supposed to be a "Signature" Club. Whoopee. :-( read more

Very nice facility but equipment repairs are a problem just like they are at all of LA Fitness facilities. I have asked over 25 times over the last 45 days to have them fix the Hip Abduction machine. I've spoken to the MANAGER who promised it would be done 3 weeks ago. It would only take an Allen Wrench and 5 minutes. I've even offered to bring the wrench and fix it for them but they said not necessary as they would fix it. The poor people at the front desk are getting sick of me asking. Hopefully putting this on Yelp will get their their attention. As you can see in the photo it really needs tightening as the two sides are supposed to be touch which means you loose about 25% of the movement in your exercise. read more
