I visited around 11 AM on a weekday, and the atmosphere was wonderfully calm, allowing for a focused workout. The small size of the gym works in its favor during these quieter hours, as every machine and weight feels accessible and inviting. However, I noticed a significant shift as noon approached. By that time, the gym was packed. While this is an indicator of its popularity, it did create challenges in accessing certain machines. I was grateful to have started my workout early, as finding a free machine later on was no easy feat. For those looking to visit during peak hours, arriving early or being flexible in your workout routine may prove beneficial. One area that stood out positively was the women's locker room. It was clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated. However, I did notice the absence of toilet seat covers, a small yet significant detail that could enhance the overall experience. While I understand that not everyone may be diligent about cleanliness, it's always nice when gyms take extra steps to ensure that all patrons feel comfortable and cared for. All right, this is another review of the local planet fitness. Very spacious. Plenty of room to work out. The staff is friendly. Some of the equipment is dated but overall not too bad. First workout since my surgery and this PF was a great start. Good temperature, music volume, lighting, & of course mirrors. Main barbell section is good size but nothing over 110. I could be wrong. However, there is no free weight bench press but a machine rather. The barbell section has about 5 adjustable back benches. Those were good for free weights for chests. One big double cable section. With each stand having cabled weights for cheat flies. Tricep pulls down rope. Ans plenty of handles. Pull down bar, row bar, and straight bar. Then there are 30 or so various machines. The energy of the building as a whole is low compared to other PFs. But thats because of the type of people or time of day. I went 8-10 AM Everyone was nice and also wiped cleaned seats and re-racked weights. There is also a whole section at the end dedicated to stretching, light weight, warm up/down, yoga. They have a couple mats but I would bring your own. Kohls and TJ Maxx always have cheap ones. Tip- going to be quick? There is an express workout area for 30 minutes and under. read more

So I used planet fitness back in CT , and now being in Florida I can see that they are nicer here . I have been to a couple locations and I thought it was time for a quick review . This location is clean ; plenty spacious ; great equipment and great environment . I wish they had free weight benches as you can see from the picture . And if planet fitnesses had a sauna then they would crush any other gym out there . Not many gyms are doing 24 hours , and planet fitness does . Now if you were to add a sauna to planet fitness around and still keep the 24 hours then you would crush the competition . Overall great gym and great price . Highly recommend read more

if you tan her I beg you to not use the lay down and DO NOT take your shoes off. They do not clean or sweep the floors in the tanning rooms. Sadly I have to report another bad experience today (6/29/2024). The same and more equipment is still broken. Some equipment has been down for a month or more now. When I asked the front desk attendant about it he just said it was old and they are waiting for parts. When I told him about several bikes not functioning properly he said "there was nothing he could do". I guess he can't even report it to someone who might be able to take action?!? This staff member is the same one who harassed me about carrying a bag yet there were multiple people carrying bags today. TERRIBLE I used to go to this gym until I got a memebership at crunch which is slightly more expensive but offers so much more. I don't like planet fitness but some of them are nice, not this one though. There's barely any equipment the workout space is small there's people doing drugs in the parking lot. The reason I'm writing the review is because my girlfriend recently got a membership there and I would go as her guest one day my girlfriend told me there was a lady doing drugs in the bathroom who then proceeded to rant and rave about stuff that didn't even make sense to my girlfriend who was freaked out and uncomfortable. I then went to the front desk and told them what happened. They proceeded to tell me that they knew exactly who I was talking about and that they've had things happen before but she's a black card member so they don't do anything. We never go to this location anymore and we now go to the one on Atlantic and military which is much better equipment and staff wise. I highly suggest to never go this gym, worst gym I have ever been to! read more

the equipment is falling apart and unkept. people sit on the machines doing nothing except play on their phone. no one puts dumbbells back so you never have dumbbells to use. the place is so ghetto. go to the zoo or a better kept planet fitness this is the worst planet fitness in the area read more

This location can't seem to get it together with their weekend hours. They're supposed to open at 5, it's now 5:30 as we all wait for whoever is opening to finally make it to work. Sadly, this is a reoccurring thing for this location. Prior to Covid their employees were awesome. Now they're just ghetto, lazy and clearly can't get up on time for work. Side note: bring your own sanitizer for the machines, you'll need it. Oh, there's a very small sign that says "masks are required" which is on the floor before you walk in (outside).. Workout at your own risk cause no one is wearing masks at this location. Last time I was here the employee was proudly wearing the mask on his chin as if he was working in a kitchen. read more

I used that gym last year .The desk staff and gym manager very nice but the regional manager was rude and nasty .I am only in Florida 4 months a year . They insisted in charging me the 40.00annual fee in addition to the 30.00 a month membership fee , they have no trx , weighted balls kettle balls but i can deal with that. Well...after almost 18 years (7 @ Boynton location) I left 24 hour fitness in February 2020 due to cleanliness issues. I joined youfit only because they offered spinning classes. After the lockdown, youfit hadn't open so enter Planet fitness, my third gym this year!! Anyway, what a pleasant surprise! Gym is super clean and appears it always was. Very good equipment and enough for me. But most importantly, what a great staff! Rachel and Ashley are very inviting, pleasant and are always cleaning or checking the facility. They greet me when I walk in and thank me on the way out. They may not sound like a lot but what a stark difference from 24 hour. So glad I joined and I hope their quality remains high. read more

Better than the Delray location. For an extremely affordable gym you can't expect too much. This location does a good job of keeping machines and the restrooms clean and staff is always friendly. Overall biggest complaint about PF is that they claim to be "24 hours" but it seems like every time I have time off they are closed. Friday and Saturday nights and holidays ect. I used to work out at Zoo Fitness that is also a "24 hour" club but they have an after hours log in system so it is truly 24 hours. read more

Ugh. So I REALLY want to join this gym. Its clean and has awesome equipment. But the only way they will take payment is through bank accounts and not a credit card (I understand that you can stop payment on a CC but I dont want anyone to have direct access to my checking account, thanks, we've all been victim to gyms continuing to charge you after you cancel). Being a fulltime student I have to budget and pay my bills when I can, not when they feel like having access to my account. They mentioned doing a one time payment of $212 and was all set to do that when I went back today. But that was only for the classic membership. If you do the math $212 is 41 dollars more than a month to month fee. I was originally told it was for the black card and because I was paying all up front it was a win-win for both me and Planet Fitness. I am so disappointed and they should really rethink this. First you are getting CASH up front which puts you ahead but it should be for the black card. Otherwise I, the consumer, am paying more for a product with more out of pocket costs than a month to month plan so where's the deal? That is shady as hell. Does anyone actually do this? I have 2 business degrees and anyone will tell you that money up front and paid in cash is usually apt for a discount which is why I came back because I was told it was for black card which would be about $17/month putting both PF and me ahead of the game. I'm leaving this review to let other people know that this "deal" is a load of crap. Really wish this would have worked out, but having gone back 3 times and each time having the finances switched leaves much to be desired. I've been going to this location for several months now and I think what I love most is that it's 24 hours. They have a summer program for teens, so when my daughter signed up, I did as well. We have gone to the gym at various times, we started out in the evenings (around 7pm'ish) then gradually tried different times throughout the day, but when school started back up - our routine changed to much earlier. We have noticed the evening crowd is much younger compared to the morning crowd. I usually arrive around 4:30am and I have always felt safe, the parking lot is well lit and there are always people working out when I arrive. I know - I thought I was the only crazy one up at that time, but the truth is - there are many regulars that are there LONG before me! There is a wide selection of equipment and supplies to clean it, nearby. The overnight staff and the morning crew are great and have always been extremely helpful. I have the black card, and the hydromassage lounger and massage chair are worth every bit of the $20.00/month! I didn't realize how much it actually made a difference until I went a week without using it. If you have the black card and haven't ventured over to the perks area ... it's a must! I have also used the total body enhancement - which I love, there are many benefits to red light therapy and definitely worth looking in to if you're not familiar with it. While I don't use the tanning bed, there was a time that I did. Had I known I could have had a membership at Planet Fitness with all the other perks for less than a tanning salon membership, I'm quite positive I would have done that instead! Last but not least, Planet Fitness truly is a judgement free zone, there are people of all different shapes and sizes working on the same goal - to be a better version of themselves tomorrow. read more

The gym itself is fantastic!!! Great machines. Hydromassage beds are perfect after a workout!! BUT if you are expecting help OR waiting for a massage bed you will be greeted by the VERY UNPROFESSIONAL staff being a black card member allows you certain perks but I had no idea it would be complete rudeness!!! I guess I was bothering her and taking her away from her social media activity!! The customer service / client services provided by Janae in Sunday were so horrific I can't imagine going back. The gym should be ashamed of hiring such incompetent help. Back at the start of the year when I started going here the place was looking a little dirty, black gym mat floor in the stretching area was always dirty, and when you sat down to use the weight machines you could see the dust build up on the floor on practically every machine and the showers were nasty. I would have quit going if it wasn't for the fact that they are 24/7 because I like to start my workouts about 4-5ish. I noticed that all of a sudden the place started looking better and I asked the front desk guy did they finally decide to actually start cleaning the place he said that they hired someone to clean cause the last person wasn't showing up or something which would explain why the place started looking better. Over the last couple of weeks here the place has just become flat out nasty. Front desk guy said cleaner quit a few weeks ago, whatever they did to make that person quit they were dumb for doing so. It is so bad that I grabbed my work out towel after doing stretching and you could literally see my finger prints on the white towel. Get it together and beg that last person to come back or hire someone competent to do it cause no one wants to workout at a dirty gym. As a father of two young kids working full time, finding time to work out is hard. It's great to find a place open 24 hours a day during the week and close to where I live. It's also nice to have a gym that has a wide variety of clientele! It's definitely a gym for the average person, and I love that! The staff are all very nice and I find that the facilities are always clean. If anything I'd wish they were open later on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I joined this gym a few months ago. I used to be an LA fitness member, however I have noticed that many of their locations have gone downhill. So Planet Fitness it is! This location is great! Big screen TV'S, cardio music on the speakers, and the crowd is really a "judgment free" zone. It's clean, and they have every machine possible! Never a wait for a machine, and they also have tanning beds and hydrotherapy chairs and lounges. All for 20 a month! Highly recommend! read more

This PF location used to be the best. Since reopening with a new work crew, it's the filthiest gym on earth. The floors throughout the gym and under treadmills are filthy. They are strewn with trash and drips of God knows what. The dried soap scum on the bathroom counters is disgusting. I've seen the same two diarrhea drips on the floor in the stall next to handicapped stall for weeks now. No one starts the timer in the Express area, and when I ask them to start it, they all look at me like I have 3 heads and have no idea what I'm talking about. Just lazy crew. Have gone to several PF and they are all fine but was really impressed with the Boynton location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They will drop whatever they are doing to assist you. They are also constantly cleaning the floors, machines, chairs, tanning rooms making this the cleanest one I've been to. read more

My husband went in to cancel both our memberships back in January, as I am unable to come in to the facility. Whoever was canceling the memberships messed up and only canceled my husbands membership and not mine. Notice a few days ago that I've been billed for four months when the membership was supposed to have been canceled. I've called everyday for the last four days and I speak to a different representative every time. They all say they can't help me but, they'll "leave a note for the manager" since the manager is never there apparently. Everytime I call for a follow up, since I never hear back, each different representatives ask me all the same questions as if there was no "note" left with an explanation of my problem, not to mentioned I've been hung up on twice when I was still speaking. I'm beyond irritated at how this facility is managed and ran. It is unacceptable for a customer to have to chase down a manager to get a problem resolved. It looks like there's another review on YELP where another person is having the same problem (Meg). It wouldn't be that big of a deal if it was a month's charge but, four months?!?
