One of my go to LA Fitness in the area. Not my favorite one since it's probably the most packed around 4-7 of all the clubs nearby. Hard to get a machine or weight at times. Most of the equipment is working and in solid condition. There are a few machines that are not 100% functional but haven't been replaced in quite some time. Does the job so I'm giving it a 4 star. read more

I'm really disappointed with this LA Fitness location. My son's North Face jacket was stolen from the Kids Klub and nothing was ever done about it. I reported it right away, but no follow-up, no effort to look into it, and no updates. I understand things can happen but what concerns me most is the lack of accountability and how common theft seems to be here. If you use this gym, especially the Kids Klub, please be aware and keep your belongings close. It's unfortunate, but theft at this location is definitely an issue. read more

I was able to exercise at this LA Fitness a couple times while up in Renton area. This location is located in the Landing in a popular shopping center. The first time I went, the front desk clerk didn't want to work. He didn't want to talk to me or check me in. The second time, it was another front desk clerk, and this second guy was a nice friendly person. This gym is both well equipped and old. They had indoor training area with artificial turf that I have only seen at Signature clubs in California. Yet some of the machines here were old and rusty. Even though they were old, they still worked. The cardio machines (treadmill, ellipticals) are located upstairs. Unlike the LA Fitnesses in California which have television screens at the top of the cardio equipment, this one did not. The only TV's are the ones mounted to the roof. No towel service here. You have to bring your own towel. It was a good gym for me. Their elliptical machines worked. Everything I used worked and gave me a couple of good workouts. read more

My family and I were visiting from Pennsylvania, and I used this LA Fitness for group classes. The Zumba and Pilates instructors brought great energy and made the classes really enjoyable. I also loved having access to the sauna- it was the perfect way to wind down after a workout. Clean facility, friendly vibe, and a solid experience overall. Annoyed. I cancelled my membership last month in person with a guy at the desk. Gave him my membership info, he said he cancelled it and gave me my last day I could use the gym. Fast forward to today and I was charged again. Found that my membership wasn't cancelled and I was charged another month. TIP: I found you can cancel very easily on LA Fitness's website once you sign in. I highly recommend cancelling via website to avoid my scenario. I used this gym for a month while my regular gym was being remodeled. I didn't want to drive 20+ minutes to a farther location. For context, my usual gym charges about $11 per month plus an annual fee of $42. So, I expected a gym like LA Fitness--charging nearly five times more--to offer better quality or at least match the same standards. Unfortunately, I was wrong. - Many machines were out of service, others were outdated, and some were in poor condition. I almost fell on a treadmill, and the presses weren't properly greased. -The sign-up team repeatedly harassed my partner with calls to join. They also misled me: --- Claimed I could invite the same person for four weeks using VIP passes, but in reality, it's one pass per person. --- Said the gym was never crowded--completely false. ---They told me once you cancel, your last month start running. But I can cancel on a Nov 24, but because my pay day is on 20, I also have to pay December and my membership ends on January ~20. -Receptionists were rude and dismissive. They often ignored me, and when I asked for help, they acted annoyed. -Bathrooms had an unpleasant smell. -Some members were extremely noisy, making the environment uncomfortable. In conclusion, I went for a month, and I will end up paying more than $350, which is what I pay in my gym in 2 years. read more

I do not recommend LA Fitness if you are a swimmer. That is the only part of the gym I use so I am reviewing the pool and locker room and shower. The pool is often crowded at the times I swim. There are only 4 lanes and they are not marked as fast, medium, slow and water walker. There is a large number of non swimmers who use the facility which makes it difficult for lap swimmers. It is difficult to circle swim because many walkers, standers, jumpers and kickers are spread throughout all lanes. Manager said they would try putting some signage but it has been more than a month and there are no signs. There is no encouraging to wear swim caps or pull long hair into a pony tail so there is often lots of hair floating in the pool. Gross. The clumps of hair are also found in the woman's showers and on the walls. Who does that? Two weeks ago 4 out of the 5 showers in the woman's locker room were taped with closed signs. Today they had to turn off all of the water at the facility. I found this out after I got out of the pool and was unable to shower. I was not too happy since I needed to pick up my granddaughter from school immediately following my workout. Since I couldn't shower I had to go to school with wet hair since I wasn't going to blow dry chlorine into my hair. Overall not a great experience as a swimmer. Unfortunately there are not many pools nearby. read more

Jr Manager told me that didn't exist and insisted on it until I showed him. Basically called me poor afterwards and talked down to me about it. Told I could sign up for 4 training sessions and if I want to cancel do it before the 2 pmt. went to cancel it as agreed, they said your obligated for nine months. Steady Decline at LA Fitness Renton I've been a member at LA Fitness Renton for nearly five years, and it's frustrating to see how much the quality has steadily declined. During the past couple months the gym has consistently been too hot--especially in the areas where members are working out tbe hardest, like the weight floor and cardio machines. Meanwhile, the AC seems to be blasting in rooms like the racquetball courts, which are usually empty, and the basketball court. When I asked about the temperature, a staff member told me it couldn't be adjusted. That's unacceptable for a facility where people are sweating and straining through intense workouts. The music is another major issue. It's blaring so loudly that I can still hear it clearly through my headphones--when my own music is at its loudest!. I'm tired of being forced to listen to loud annoying pop music every time I work out. It's distracting and makes it hard to focus. Broken equipment is a constant problem, too. Machines are regularly damaged and take weeks to be repaired--if at all. And there's rarely anyone available to speak with directly about these issues. I even reached out through the app, but never got a response. When I first joined, I really enjoyed coming here. I even upgraded my membership a couple of years ago to access the Signature club, which I now use during the week. It's a bit better. But Renton is the closest location to my home for weekend workouts, and it's become disappointingly unbearable. It feels like this gym has stopped caring about its members. I really like this Gym it's close to my home! They have an Emerald Smoothie at this location! They have a pool and a sauna which I love. I have noticed several pieces of equipment that have out of service for several days in a row. In the evenings the gym is packed so having equipment out of service sucks there's a wait for a lot of the popular machines like the stair climber for example. The atmosphere is cool I like the staff they are friendly and polite. The great thing about this location is it's next to the landing so there is a lot of shop etc near by. The location is perfect! Why is the equipment here perpetually broken? And I'm talking about more than half of the treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes. Most are slapped with "out of service" signs that stay up longer than some gym memberships--months, maybe even a year. Meanwhile, new machines break down, but I guess putting up signs is too much effort now. It's almost like this business is focused on squeezing higher and higher rates out of us while refusing to spend a single dime maintaining their 15-year-old relics. Oh, and let's not forget the lovely sticky residue where decals were removed--truly a premium experience. I've been going to La fitness for the better part of a decade now. I've seen many locations and this one is for sure one of my most preferred spots. The equipment rarely seems to be down here, which is my biggest complaint with LA in general. This location seems to be on it when it comes to machine maintenance. I can also tell they've been working hard to get some decent staff in here. Ive seen some new faces that are always smiling and welcoming. The new GM, Jacob Corpman has been an awesome addition to the team. My only other critique would be that they add some additional security to this place. I know it's not the gyms fault that there is so much crime in the landing, and everywhere else in the Renton area to be honest. We need to keep people safe. Id love to see some security guards out in the parking lot. read more

This is my home gym as I live in Renton WA. I always felt like the place was probably dirtier and grimier then other LA Finesses. Right now I'm visiting San Antonio TX and I'm at an LA Fitness and I can't tell you just how night and day my home gym is compared to this place. The Renton Landing location needs a complete overhaul!!! The equipment is old, it smells, the cleaning staff clearly does not clean the place very well...just overall gross. I usually go to LA fitness in Seattle but I decided to visit the Landing location this week when I was in the area for work. In addition to the facility being clean, the locker rooms had paper towels stocked which is a typical issue at my normal club. Front desk people were friendly and I had a really engaging conversation with the GM, Jacob. He took the time to talk to me and make sure my experience at this location was going well. Overall, I was pretty impressed by how great the staff was, while the clubs cleanliness and vibes were equally amazing. If you're not sure which location you should visit, this one is more than worth it. They'll take care of you (something I haven't always experienced at other LA fitness clubs). read more
