I didn't have a clue this location existed. I only found it because I accidentally put the wrong address in maps. It is suuuuper nice and I think my new favorite club to get a session in! One of the biggest highlights for me was the power rack room. There are a ton of racks stocked with bumper plates and deadlifting platforms, as well as vertical smith machines, two reverse hyper machines, barbell landmine setups, multiple leg presses, belted hip thrust machines, and a standing hip thrust machine. I felt like a kid in a candy store. The cable machines right outside of the power racks were awesome too. I loved the little fold out step built into the machine so shorties can reach the pull up bars without jumping or needing to grab a dumbbell to step on. I was really surprised that in addition to the usual neutral and pronated grips there's also a rock climbing one so you can train your finger grip strength!! I've never seen that before. Attachments were very well stocked and in great condition. The cables I used didn't have the 2.5 x2 incremental weights at the top of the stack (not sure if some other machines had them) but you can stick the pin through a 2.5 lb plate before putting it in the stack if you need to. The isolation machines are really nice too. There's an abundance of different branded machines for the same muscle group so you can choose the machine that feels the best for your body. I really liked that all of the numbers on the stacks were in pristine condition, as it annoys me when the numbers are missing and I can't figure out what weight I'm supposed to be doing. Basically everything at this gym appeared brand new or at least very well maintained. I saw a lot of top of the line equipment and spaces dedicated to meeting the needs of athletes/serious gym goers. I would love if more clubs looked like this one instead of just having endless rows of treadmills and old/broken weight machines that never get fixed or replaced. read more

Since the LA Fitness closest to me closed recently, I've been coming here more often. Some ups and downs--I like the rack room a lot, since I've never had to wait for squats/deadlifts. Lots of machines too, and everything seems pretty well maintained. On the other hand, there are often no wipes. And the staff can be a little pushy about surveys/pilates/personal training. It's fine when the front desk tells me about stuff when I'm checking in, but maybe not when I'm trying to leave and halfway out the door. And personal trainers roaming the floor waiting to accost you about personal training is pretty off-putting... read more

I don't know why this LA Fitness has so many problems keeping a consistent pool temperature. I visit other LA Fitnesses in the area and NONE of them have that problem. The other pools are consistently comfortable. Corporate LA Fitness policy says the pools are to be between 80-84 degrees. I took a brand new pool thermometer to this pool and the range of this pool is 76-81. Those couple degrees make a huge difference in how the pool feels, especially to the many older members who use it. Just because the thermostat hidden away in the maintenance closet is set at a certain degree doesn't mean that the actual water temperature is that. Gotta measure the water! When you try to talk to management, you are gaslit. But the thermometer tells the story and doesn't match management's talking points. read more

The club manager, Aliyah, is doing an outstanding job at this location, she's is friendly, and professional whenever I speak with her. The gym itself is really nice and it looks more aesthetic than other LA fitness. I tried out Pilates for 2 months & the instructors are amazing and if you can afford it I say you should do it! The employees are also very kind and helpful. They like to talk to you and help you out whenever you need. Also they are all always greeting you when you walk in. My only thing with this gym is that they used to have a lot of wipe stations to clean the gym but now they only have one cleaning station downstairs when there used to be 3. Most of the time there isn't even any wipes in the one cleaning station. I really wish they would prioritize cleaning essentials considering the amount of money paid monthly. It kinda grosses me out because I see sweat stains a lot on the equipment. I might just have to start bringing my own cleaning sprays. Other than that I don't have any complaints. :) read more

This gym is not very well maintained. They recently did a remodel and there's already machines that have missing components and are broken not to mention it gets super packed in here, unable to execute a work out due to the volume of people at times you'll be sitting around waiting for for a single machine to open up most of the time the person is staring at their phone for 25 minutes, the men's restroom has a broken doorstop which is easily fixable and causes the restroom to become a sauna, but does not seem to be of high priority. If you are ok with over crowded gym at a premium price, this is right up there. But, thats not what forced me to write a review. I was stupid enough to be trapped in their training program. This is a real trap that would make a sleezy car salesman look like a saint because this just does not end. 1. The person who sold us this program, said it's a month to month contract & we can cancel anytime (LIE). Once we signed, turns out, we had to pay them for 6 months minimum even then if we want to cancel it can only be done on 25th of the 6th month. They won't let us cancle before that date (without us paying a fine) & if we are a day late, they will charge for next month. I was not kidding when I said neverending. 2. Training Demo was with a different person, actual trainer was way worst. 3. When we put our gym membership on hold (they allow this) they still continued charging money for training. 4. People on front desk or call center would say they can't do anything but their VP is the only person who can tackle such basic stuff & that he will call. But that dude never calls. These are not one-off mistakes or an individual being stubborn, these pain points are built into their processes so that LA Fitness can continue pulling money out of your bank account. I say, save yourself a load of headache & stay away from LA Fitness. read more

I really do like this location and have been an LA fitness member for many years...BUT I am very disappointed that there are so few weight machines remaining since the remodel. It gets pretty crowded at certain times of day and it only makes it worse when people just sit on the machines scrolling on social media, often for 15-20 minutes or more. Could there be some way that management can help with this issue? Put up a sign reminding customers not to do this or something?? read more

I wanted to try out a day pass then the manager told me I would have to pay $20 per person for the day pass even though most gyms offer a free trial or day pass. As I was leaving she gave me her business card and I looked on the back of it it said there's a seven day free trial with the QR code. When I asked about it she said that it's just her business card and ignored my question. Just looked it up and LA fitness does have a free one-day pass on their website easily accessible. This gym is my favorite to go to and I live in perris,ca so I don't mind the drive, I been to the Lake Elsinore, menifee and the one on eucalyptus in Moreno Valley and I feel more comfortable going to this one. I been a member since 2016 and this is my favorite gym I can say. JOSH is so nice and welcoming when you enter and especially after your work out. Is this gym just bent on their customers training for heat acclimation? 1. The pool is miserably warm, especially for lap swimming, which is disappointing since it's one of the few pools in the area with 4 lanes. The three times that I've used it (only because group swims were coordinated by others), I sweat during and for 45 to 60 minutes after the swim. I mentioned this twice to the front desk, and it hasn't changed. 24 Hour Fitness keeps their pools at perfect lap swimming temp, and I can swim for over an hour without issue. 2. The treadmills are upstairs where it's poorly conditioned, hot as can be, and there are no fans on the treadmills. 3. Downstairs weight room is more tolerable as far as the temps go, although still warm. But good luck getting the equipment you want to use if it's not super early or late. read more

I showed up today to follow up on a potential membership. The person I spoke to on the phone yesterday was not there today. A young lady by the name of Evenie said I can come in and she'll help me out. I come in and start describing to her what my understanding of my previous conversation was. I don't know what it is about these young kids but they need to learn what is not ok in a conversation with somebody who is not their friend. She made a face like I was stupid for my understanding of my previous conversation. She then proceeded to call Manny to ask him if he offered me that deal, which is fine, but why did she think it was ok to ask in a condescending way and laugh while she asked? I used to go to this club in Mission Grove for several years before I moved away 10 years ago. I came back to the area and renewed my membership. When I left, the sauna was broken. The manager at the time said it was temporary. 10 years later, and it is still broken. Coincidence? I highly doubt it. I don't regret restarting my membership at LA Fitness. I just now avoid the Mission Grove location, and literally go to any other location. I usually hit up the Arlington, Eucalyptus MoVal, or Redlands locations. They have working saunas and are super clean and worth the extra drive. Mission Grove doesn't exist to me anymore. read more
