I strongly caution anyone considering signing up with this gym. I joined in 2023 and made multiple, documented attempts to cancel my membership. Unfortunately, canceling was essentially impossible. The toll-free number was never answered, calls to the location went unanswered, and no one was available in the office. I sent cancellation requests via USPS mail, emails, and messages through their website, all without success or response. After months of unsuccessful attempts, my bank advised me to stop the automated ACH payments to prevent further unauthorized withdrawals. Despite this--and despite my contract term having expired--I was shocked to receive a call from a debt collector over a year later, claiming the gym had continued billing me and sent the account to collections. This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and completely avoidable had the gym honored basic cancellation requests or provided any customer service support. Continuing to bill and pursue collections after repeated cancellation attempts and after the contract term ended is unacceptable. They finally cancelled my membership after dragging it out and stating "once your year contract is up you have to submit a 30 day notice" ... so then it would not be a year contract it's a year and a month contract?! At least be up front with this information. Again, these people are scammers and truly just trying to get as much of your money as possible. Find a different gym or save your money and stick to your apartment/HOA gym. I no longer live in the area and have tried multiple times to cancel my membership. During COVID I tried via phone and was told that I could only cancel in person. I inform them that I was very COVID sensitive and they eventually allowed me to email a form and I had to include a copy of my driver's license. No action was taken on their part. I have tried to call again and can't get anybody on the phone. I have gone in person and of course there was no manager on site but the therapy center gave me the cancellation form which I filled out and left there and again no action was taken. When you can't get a manager on a phone or in person there is no way to cancel your membership! I would give this place zero stars if I could! read more

Now And I have seen this gym go from clean to Trash I'm so disappointed .. let's start with one of the restrooms has been flooded for over 2 weeks with water flooding out of the showers yuck! Both restrooms are filthy with crumbled toilet seat covers toilet paper everywhere !! , the WiFi is constantly not working (it's needed due to bad reception inside ) lets be real if they want us to pay big gym prices then get it together and keep the gym clean & functioning! Similar to another reviewer...I tried to cancel my account because of COVID-19 and I've heard nothing from Anytime Fitness about how to go about doing that. Now a collections company is calling me because I'm apparently still being charged, even though I was previously told my account was frozen. ALSO, the card I used to pay for my membership expired and ABC Financial's website hasn't allowed me to change it. I just get a bunch of html nonsense any time I've tried. Today I gave up and physically went to the gym to see if I could talk to someone since no one will answer my calls (their inbox is full, btw, so you can't even leave a message). The gym is CLOSED because of Covid. Some very kind person who works for the physical fitness group in that building told me to call a different Anytime Fitness to ask for advice, so I did. The owner at the other gym seemed pretty bewildered by my situation and told me that the gym shouldn't be charging me if I haven't returned at any point during this pandemic, which I haven't. He is calling the regional manager to see if someone can help me fix this. It's a huge mess. I feel badly for anyone else who is going through this, especially if they're having financial issues due to the pandemic. This place is amazing. Everyone here treats each other like family. I can't wait to come back. I got into a car accident at the end of January and it's been a slow healing process but I'm going to be cleared next month probably and everyday I think about how excited I am to come back to my gym. I've been coming to this anytime fitness location for a few years now and have a daily routine going on. What I like about this location is that the staff always greet you (even though I have my music on blast lol) and most of the time the gym is clean which by the way they have a cleaning lady that comes in the morning. Most importantly the current manager (Ron) has this work out challenge chart that pushes each individual I personally think that's a good idea and it's free, anyone can join lol The third thing I like compare to other gym is that I don't need to wait for equipment. read more

What a great place to exercise and get healthy. The place is clean, conveniently located in the Riverwalk area with lots of parking. I feel safe to park my car here even at night. Love the fact that you can just go in anytime and it's not at all crowded. The membership fees are also very reasonable and the staff is always nice. Melissa is my personal trainer and she's awesome to work with. At first I felt awkward as I have no idea on how to use most of the equipment they have in there but she made me feel so comfortable and takes the time to teach me how to use those equipment, what it's for and how it will change my body. She even texts me the following day to make sure my legs or my arms feel okay. It's also nice to see that majority of the people that goes in this gym are just regular people trying to have a healthier lifestyle, I've seen gyms that are filled with members having a muscle convention. It really helps a lot when you see people that you can relate to so you won't feel self conscious. Highly recommended place! read more

The staff is very friendly, supportive and informative! The machines are kept clean and the bathrooms/showers are clean as well. I haven't tried any of the classes yet but trainers Michael and Ron are class acts! Even fellow gym members are very nice and I felt very welcome right away. 5 stars doesn't even do justice.. Ron is a ROCK STAR in fitness. I've been to alot of gyms and had many trainers but none even come close to Ron. He knows exactly what works for the specific training he's having me do. My first day I almost passed out and he took the time and knew exactly what to do at that moment and I felt better. He listens, has patience but most of all he is very compassionate and makes me feel very comfortable. Trainers can be very intimidating but not Ron he is professional and so is his staff. Pretty good gym with everything you need. Having it open 24 hours is super useful and the reason I signed up. Has an issue before with cancelling an add on, but Ron noticed me at the gym and made up for it. Im new to the neighborhood and wanted to get in shape. I have memberships at all the surrounding big gyms, but wanted to try Anytime since it's one block from my house. I'm used to working with trainers and am very happy with Ron. He listened to my goals and is implementing that to my satisfaction (I'm picky)... Pffft on the poor reviews. C'mon, mistakes happen. And if they do, Ron's quick and accommodating and does what he can to amend issues, which are far and few between. The staff is friendly and approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. Though I've never needed the PT crew, they're the friendliest bunch of people I've met. Marcus and Ron are insanely supportive and I couldn't be more appreciative of the obvious effort they put into training us individually. I originally chose this gym for its size, location, cleanliness, equipment, etc. To me, smaller meant less intimidating, and 24/7 access meant exercising when there are less eyes to judge me. But instead I've found friendships and support, and I don't mind coming in in the middle of the day!! I can't stress enough that it's the staff that makes this place what it is. read more

I've been a member for almost four years. Their 24/7 availability is what first attracted me but the training personnel is what sealed the deal. I had been a member of a few local gyms but each had limitations that I lived with but were solved by Anytime's policies. Plus it's within jogging distance from my home. I also signed up my wife and daughter. Both are comfortable with the gym's friendly atmosphere My last two years I've been training with Ron, the manager. He is committed to health and fitness and structures workouts to the client, even a senior with many miles and wear points. My wife and I have been on our fitness journey for a couple years and has been up and down to say the least. We have spent a lot of money on several different trainers just to yield minimal results. After our contract expired from our previous gym, we were referred to Ron by BodyMetRX. We met with Ron initially to do somewhat of an interview which turned into test workout. He had us doing things we have never done before and in that short time we were impressed. Ron is a great trainer who's very knowledgeable, patient and can identify our needs right away. Tried free trial membership pay $1 to start went like 2 times never went again and quit yet they say I owe 679 right now. Never again stick to the big name ones bc this is infuriating especially bc I never got a bill nothing an now I get a credit collection account for it so now it's on my credit report even though I quit so I will never reccomend this place read more
