This has been my go to nail salon for years but I will not be going back. When I first moved out here, I fell in love with my nail tech Cathy (and Tammy, hey girl!) and havent been able to look back despite a multitude of issues at the business but I can't in good conscience go back anymore. I have had repeated issues from the owner Suzy constantly DOUBLE BOOKING my nail appt time and causing longer than usual wait times. As someone in a high pressure job with little windows for self care, it has constantly put a strain on my ability to enjoy these appointments and let alone even get the service i'd planned for. I've put up with this behavior for as long as I can but ever since my favorite techs have left, I will not be stepping my foot back in at the shop. (Shoutout Tammy and Cathy, miss your nails every day). Guess i'm back to shopping for a new salon now. Might even be worth switching neighborhoods just to have some reliability! read more

Very nice staff they maybe need some younger girls in there that keep up with the trends and techniques I left with these but the lady was so nice I didn't say anything. I filed them down once home and I don't think the gel was cured all the way but yeah. Susie consistently double books so I've had to wait up to an hour or more before my appointment. It's quite frustrating when making an appointment for a specific time and having to wait a substantial amount of time to be seen. The only reason I came to this salon was for my nail tech, Cathy. She does an INCREDIBLE job, but she has since left and gone to another salon, so I have too. No one else at the salon, in my experience, is up to par with nails. Two stars solely for Cathy and her ability to be flexible in her timing as well. read more

I came here for Cathy for a few years, but unfortunately quality and care have decreased since her departure. I gave La Flora another shot, but walked away disappointed and feeling insecure and frustrated with my nails, as well as the service and how I was treated. I used to come here all the time before their renovation and really liked it here. They recently renovated and the service has definitely changed. I will say their pedicures are very nice and pretty. But I got a gel nail removal and was made to feel like such a burden for asking them to soak it off rather than file my nails off with the electric file, even after I explained that my nails are super weak. They left me to soak my nails in one tiny bowl (didn't bother wrapping each nail with a cotton pad, foil, and acetone) and the ladies kept making snarky remarks about how I need to file them off because soaking takes too long. Well, they came off just fine after some soaking and a little bit of patience. I understand it's slightly more inconvenient for the nail salon but I didn't appreciate how they made me feel. And for all that they charge $12 for the removal. read more

I come in here for gel pedicure only. I see Kathy. The space is simple , they have a variety of colors and multiple chairs - they play good music and have 3 TVs ( one has music videos , the other 2 are images and videos of Europe or other countries) I love KATHY!!! She is quick , keeps my toes on point. I am a runner and have very healthy nails. So my nails grow like the weeds. My pedicure lasts an entire month. No chips on the nail polish . She gets in and cleans out every nook and cranny. The massage is DIVINE. She goes in deep and intuitively knows where I need more pressure. I can tell she has experience and pays attention to lifestyle ( which matters when receiving a service. It's obvious I am active so I feel like she knows what my legs and feet need- deep tissue ) she always sets a timer so each leg gets 5 minutes of love. The price is $50 for a basic gel pedicure. Parking is limited however , the meters move quickly. It's a quiet space , there isn't too much chatter between the technicians and you can pre-book. 10/10 read more

Went there for the first time and had a very pleasant experience! Got a regular manicure and it lasted really well.

Never been here before always saw the shop and wanted to try them out. I walk inside and tell them I wanted a pedicure. Owner sits me in chair four as all other nail techs were currently working on other customers. Around 5 to 7 mins into waiting a white man walks in, sits next to me and gets serviced immediately before me. I walked in before him. I quickly ask the staff if he had an appointment or not because he was getting service before me but I came in before him. They acted like they didn't understand me. Then immediately one of the ladies that was about to help him moves over and then and only then starts my pedicure. That seems discriminating and racist. So after my pedicure was done I was so put off by that racist act I only tipped her $3. She rudely shakes her head, I ask her if she didn't want it , she says yes. I leave . They don't thank me. If you are black person or black trans person do not go here. They prioritize white men over everyone. HARD PASS! read more

Usually love coming here but got a new person for my pedicure. Male, did not know what he was doing or didn't care. Left my nails crooked and messy. I asked him several times to fix and he did not listen, clearly doesn't want to be there. Horrible technique and hygenie. Barely filed my nails was just filing the skin. Was ripping and pulling so much skin around my nails for no reason, im still bleeding under the nail and putting the dead skin on my feet instead of the towel. Susie is THE BEST. She has a heart of gold and exudes all the love and care for her clients. She has always given me healthy, beautiful, clean nails. She's very honest when she cannot recreate an example design, which I greatly appreciate. We always figure out something beautiful. Cathy has the strongest hands and is my go too girl for an amazing pedicure and foot massage. I've seen other ladies rock great nails and great designs. Susie and her team are the best! I found La Flora via Yelp a couple of years ago and have not gone anywhere else since. Not only is the atmosphere very friendly it is also very relaxing. While Susie always does my acrylics, I have had pedicures by everyone else and each time I was very pleased and I am very particular about my nails. The prices are also modest so I can indulge in having my nails done on a regular basis. Their attention to detail is great and they always ensure I am very happy with the result. They do have massage chairs for pedicures but the best part is the amazing calf/foot massage with their pedicures. I never feel like they are rushing. The focus is on doing quality work. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and they were sweet enough to squeeze me in. I was 8months pregnant at the time and they let me sit in one of the massage chairs while I waited which was very kind and accommodating. I got a pedicure and they did a great job! I upgraded the pedicure to the one that included the orange scrub and id recommend it. The owner was very sweet to everyone who came in and treated clients like friends. My new go-to nail salon! I'm super picky about my nails but this place lives up to my expectations and is SO well-priced. I get hard gel manicures and regular get pedicures and they consistently do a great job. They have a special tool for callus removal that I've never seen at any other salon, which makes it my favorite place for pedicures. i'm here to give an unfortunate but not surprising update. i agreed to let suzy "fix" my nails. i went in for my 630pm appointment and waited more than 30 minutes to be seen. (not surprised) i then told her to please do hard gel. i have no idea what she put on my nails but it was not hard gel. less than a week later they're all chipped off again. the fact that she refuses to give a refund after such poor service not once but twice is actually insane to me. read more

Although I moved back to NYC, I think about La Flora often bc the service and work is impeccable. Susie is so friendly, and all her nail techs, especially Catherine and Sarah, are wonderful. I originally went to another nail salon in the neighborhood for a gel manicure that ended up costing an arm and a leg for an okay job. After that so-so experience, I found La Flora. I'm glad I did. The nail jobs here last 1+ months (the dip gel is still on my nails as I type). After I go back to LA--hopefully some time next year, this will be one of the first places I will visit! :) read more

Suzie is the BOMB! Despite being incredibly positive (and super funny), she has great service. Suzie is the owner of La Flora, working 7 days a week might I add, and she does not disappoint on service. Personally, I get a dip powder & gel for my mani every 2-3 weeks and a pedicure every month(ish). Suzie is so quick and thorough with it too! Knock on wood, I've never had a nail break EVER. I saw a bad review on this method, but it's almost bulletproof. She takes off a little bit of the top from the previous so she doesn't have to filled down to your actual nail. The gel on top will then hold and won't chip. If you just do gel, they have to file down your real nail. It's different from other places, and that's a GOOD thing. Other than that, the rest of her staff is great. They always do a great job with my pedicures and keep the cuticle healthy. Definitely give her a call and make an appointment! read more

My friend recommended La Flora Nails and I am thrilled after my first visit. I called La Flora Nails to make an appointment for Sunday. Susie was very accommodating and friendly especially when I needed to change my appointment time last minute. I parked in the lot in the back and when I walked in they greeted me and I was able to get started without a wait. Tammy and Kim did my mani/pedi and they both did such a clean and meticulous job. Since it's been a year, I opted for the callus remover/orange citrus scrub/hot stone pedi and it was SO worth it! My feet feel like a baby's bottom! First time here! I needed to get my nails done ASAP and my normal salon was fully booked, so I tried this salon as a walk-in. I caught them at a slow time so they were able to accommodate a gel mani and a regular pedi within 10 minutes. The woman that did both services was so sweet and I really enjoyed talking with her. She did a nice job on my toes, but my hands are a different story. She did an amazing job at shaping my nails and didn't wreck my cuticles, but my left hand looks OK and my right is pretty awful. She didn't apply the polish evenly at the top of the nails, and the paint coats are visible near my cuticles (see left thumb). On my right, this is also the case (see right thumb), but she completely missed parts of 3 nails (see right ring finger, middle finger and pinky). I'm truly unsure if this is neglect or if it's the polish reacting to 2-3 minutes of UV light per coat (seems excessive? Most technicians only do 60 seconds per coat). Service aside, the salon seems clean, their polish selection is average, the spa chairs are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Just not sure if the quality of work is worth it. read more

I came back here because I had a really good experience the first time. I had called ahead of time to see if they were busy because it was a sunday. The lady told me to come in at 1 PM. I got my nails done with an off white color. I think the color was hard to paint with just as you can see there are some streaks in the nail. Overall still a decent experience. The ladies were really nice, got offered some water. The cost for a Mani/pedi combo was $32. Overall 3 for the manicure this time as there was a lot of streaks and not clean lines, 3.5 for the pedicure as there was only cleaning but no cleaning of the sides to remove in grown nails. 4 for the entire experience. read more
