I'll start off by saying that I never write bad reviews. I called and specifically asked if they did SNS dip powder and had time for me right away as I had to be somewhere at 11. (I called at 9:30 right when they opened.) The woman on the phone said yes and told me to come on in. I've been doing the dip powder for 7 years - at many different salons - and the process was the same at every single place. When I got there she told me to pick a gel color. I repeated that I didn't want gel, I wanted the dip powder. She went on to tell me that they do it different there and that I HAD to do gel over top the dip. Which makes NO SENSE as the whole point of the dip powder is that the color IS the powder. I was in a pinch and just said "ok do what you need to do". My manicurist did the best she could - she was OBVIOUSLY not trained on how to do the dip. She barely took off the top clear coat on my existing nails and then proceeded to put gel on top of my old dip!!!!!!!! I made her stop and take off the rest of the old stuff. They kept arguing with me telling me that my nails would be too thin if they took off my existing powder. Super annoying and extremely frustrating because that's simply not true. Once she finally started with the dip, she didn't even DIP my nails into the powder. She simply scooped clear powder up with a stick and sprinkled it on my nails... two VERY thin coats, then painted the gel color on top. My nails don't feel strong like they do with a NORMAL dip manicure. She also asked if I wanted to do my cuticles --- for $10 extra. Ummm what?! I'm pissed that I wasted $55 on something that was not what I wanted or SPECIFICALLY asked for. I still tipped my nail tech $10 as this was not her fault. Sooo $65 down the drain. On top of that, I didn't walk out of there until 11:15 making me late to where I needed to go. Don't go here. The owner is pushy and doesn't listen to what the customer wants. They should NOT advertise that they do SNS. Rant over. read more

No longer recommend this place. Suzy takes the phone calls and she also did my nails. Last time she made them all crooked and I tried asking her to make them straight and she refused over and over until the end. I asked very nicely but she kept filing them more and more crooked until it looked like I had broken fingers. She then felt bad because I wasn't happy with my crooked nails and she didn't charge me but I left her a big tip anyway. Now she won't let me make an appointment at all, not with anyone else. She told me they are booked for weeks - I had a friend call them and she said they were completely available. I even got her a xmas present to take on this next appointment... Now I'm returning the gift and finding a new place that will do a better job at listening to the customer if they see the nails are not going on straight. Re: COVID: In my two experiences visiting (both later in the year, with restrictions in place), I felt very safe and that they were following safety precautions as much as possible. I was temperature checked, asked (nicely) to sanitize my hands upon entering, and watched as they sprayed and thoroughly wiped down everything after a customer got up from their pedicure chair. All employees and clients were wearing masks. I've gone in for mani/ pedi's and every time I watched as Suzy personally checked in with each guest to ask how their experience was... not to mention, she's on the floor working as a tech. If you're not planning on forgoing your self-care mani pedi's, I would highly recommend supporting La Flora. I'll be purchasing gift cards for my Christmas list to support this small business. First time coming to this place and the manicure was decently done by an older woman possibly by the name of Tina? I'm not exactly sure the woman's name but I'm going to say it was Tina from when I heard another costumer say hello to her. She rushed through my manicure doing it half assed and on top of that I was spoken to very rudely by her because I accidentally tapped my nail. She seemed as if she was extremely bothered that she had to fix it my nail. The nail she fixed after, she did not put a coat of clear on it. She told me to sit there and let my nails dry didn't come back. She proceeded to work on another client and just left me there. My overall manicure took about 10 - 15 minutes total, never had a manicure be done so quick. In the photos you'll notice the nail polish was done extremely sloppy and rushed. This is three coats of a soft pink and in each photo you'll see how the nail polish has multiple coats on one side oppose to the other. Nail polish that is chipped after one day of having these nails done. The quality of this work is horrendous and I will not be returning. FIRST TIME & LAST TIME. read more

Seriously the best Acrylic nails I've ever had. Suzy does a great job everytime. To give you an idea of how good her work is I will post a photo of my nails THREE WEEKS after she does my fill. Now keep in mind that I do hair for a living so my hands are in water constantly. My nails not only last 3 weeks but they grow out so well that I can just change the polish at home once a week and keep them looking brand new the whole time!!!! It's so hard to find a technician who not only does a good job but is easy to get in with. I usually call a couple of days in advance and Suzy accommodates me every time. Last time I cheated on her by going to Sunset City nail down the street. I payed wayyyy more for my Fill and my nails broke after 4 days. AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN LONG! I went in over 2 months ago to have a clear biosculpture set removed. I had achieved nice, long, healthy nails and was trying to maintain them without continuing the biosculpture. The woman who removed it, also removed the ENTIRE first layer of my nail along with it. When she was done, I was wondering why my nails were "hurting" and sensitive... Not even an hour later, my long nails were breaking off one by one. They were so thin, they would bend back and forth and eventually every single one snapped off. It is now months later, and the first layer of my nails are still struggling to grow back. This was one of the worst nail experiences I have ever had, and the worst part is, I paid money to have someone destroy my nails. A good nail technician would err on the side of caution if they are unsure of what they are removing. If she had removed any more of my nail that day, she would have hit my nail bed/skin, and they would have a much bigger problem than getting a bad Yelp review. read more

I walked by it and decided to go in without doing any research. Very happy I did! They had a great selection of gel colors, way more than most places. The woman who did my nails was very nice and attentive and everything seemed clean and sterile. They even put these gloves on you while your gel cures under the UV to protect your skin from damage, very nice touch. All salons should do that. It was $40 for my gel.
