I came here on a referral from a friend and I am glad I did!! I have been looking for a place that does the gel extensions (no tips just gel) and they do !!! To be honest for me personally this is the most I have ever spent on nails BUT with that said these are some of the best nails I have had AND they took their time making sure I loved the nail and design! Also I do not have one cut or scratch they did a wonderful job! I think it is A new thing to have big chairs now instead of massage chairs which makes me sad ! I want a massage chair for a pedicure -that is my only complaint (I need to find a spot with the good massage chair for a pedi!) I was in Sherman oaks for a meeting and had some time to spare so I decided to get a mani/ pedi ... Sucks because this is probably the worst manicure I've ever received. ;( The nail polish was way to thick and the girl was piling up the layers. Different girl did my toes and they are perfect. I paid $40 after tipping $7 for both... I was in a hurry to watch a basketball game with friends and didn't say anything but now I wish I had. The fingernails polish looks ridiculously bad ! ************************************************** About 24h later I couldn't look at the horrible fingernails and I removed the polish to paint it home on my own ... And I decided to write and update .. The manicure job is actually amazing .. Just the paint job was horrific ... So I waited for my next visit to write my review and I can honestly say this place is GREAT! Victoria is doing my pedicure as we speak and she did my pedi previously. My first visit was very smooth and engaging, which I appreciated. I didn't feel stuck in my phone,there was a movie playing, good conversation, and I was extremely relaxed from the experience. My pedicure came out perfect,(I chose white toes and she perfected it) Two weeks later I'm back and I feel like I'm getting the royal treatment yet again. I can appreciate tremendously someone who takes pride in ensuring you're comfortable and gives you good work. Such a great place! I randomly walked in to check it out while out for a walk with my baby. Made an appointment to return later that afternoon. I planned on leaving my baby home with my husband but he had a meeting last minute so I brought my 18 month old with me . The ladies were so great with him, fed him, played with him, carried him and just loved on him while I got a mani/pedi. My 5 year old came in later on (we live down the street lol) and they were great with him too! So weLcoming and friendly. She took her time to make sure she gave the best service - my nails were pretty messed up from having acrylics for so long so it took some extra time and TLC. Didn't feel rushed at all. They are super accommodating as far as scheduling goes. Offered Nespresso, tea, water bottles etc. luxurious/spa-like experience vs some of the bare bones nail factories that are around. I had a previous (stubborn) gel-mani that I needed removed and Debbie was amazing, she was very gentle and took her time to make sure that my (poor, brittle) nails were well taken care of. Had her do I beautiful deep navy blue gel mani on top of my weak nails and it's lasted very nicely! OK im late on my review for this place but man.....im so in love! I found this gem thanks to yelp and was soo happy Laque Nail bar was too busy to see us common folks because this place was perfect! I had mad apointments for me and moms on a sunday for her bridal party and they welcomed us with open arms. This place was small and quite only 4 spa chairs, very chic and peaceful. Needed a fill and was in the area. Was informed they only do gel acrylics...I should have left then. Service is very cold and gossipy. They also made me dry regular nail polish in the gel dryer, so it bubbled and you could see every layer and brush stroke. I got the gel fill on my acrylic nails on Wednesday and they chipped by Friday. read more

I was very happy and relieved that they had a free spot for me. When a arrived everyone was very friendly, nice yet very professional. She asked before we started with the service if I needed tea,water or coffee which to me is always a good sign that Service must be a mandate at this establishment. During the pedicure she pointed out what she was doing, why she was doing it, and explained the things I need to get to doing to make her "future work" easier. And even though my manicure was wet, she asked to enter my purse (I am not a fan of this practice FYI ... I prefer today before the mani) and help out with securing my keys,method of payment,etc.m Quality of work: Susan is a fantastic technician. I mentioned the colors of my friend's wedding and she hooked my nails up, design in all. Price: I used a Groupon deal, and I still had to pay an additional $17 so if you are looking for a cheap experience Do Not Come Here. I had just gone to David for the first time before he moved to this new location, but had gotten so many compliments on my new nails that I knew I had to follow him to Nail Couture. Boy am I glad I did! Not only is he amazing, but the experience is sooooo relaxing. The decor is posh and pretty (lavender, black, and white w/ crystal accents). The pedicure seats are actually sofa armchairs that are SO comfy! They also offer water, coffee, and even chocolates! One of the nicest features is that they have parking in the back, which is so rare for anything on Ventura Blvd. This makes SUCH a difference. I just loved this place. So I don't usually leave bad reviews but this place was just that bad. The one star is because it is a clean, very elegant nail salon. And that's just being nice The rest of the stars are deserving of their absence. I got a gel mani pedi. I told them I had tips. And halfway through my manicure the woman told me "next time tell us when you have tips". Rude and uncalled for. She was too lazy to fill my nails and when I asked her about it she looked at me as if I had insulted her. So I left it alone. Three days later I regret it because my nails look awful and my nail polish is falling apart. At the time of check out, they swiped my card and then told me, after swiping it, they don't take visas. They had me walk all the way to 7/11 to get cash out. The woman who checked me out was looking at me the whole way I was walking there and back as to make sure I wasn't a thief. May I add, no discount for the inconvenience. God forbid there must be good customer service. WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. Rude service, and horrible job. First, let me state that few things I hate more than getting my nails done as the ladies are talking to each other in their native language...RUDE and unprofessional. I got my toes and nails done 0n the day before Mother's Day. When the lady who worked on my feet first approached me, she was pleasant enough. But as we moved along, she become less accommodating, more impatient. And she never massaged my feet or legs. I did not want any color, only clear in my hand nails. This was a big deal. When lady who did my nails started working on me the 2 ladies started to murmer to each other. The fact I did not want any color seemed to be quite a topic for them to murmer about and they kept asking me if I was sure. Anytime I said or asked anything, they'd look at each other and murmer some more. I had a pointer finger nail that was starting to break, so I asked if she could fix it. She actually tried to tell me my nail was fine, even though it was tearing by 1/4 inch, which is a lot on a nail. She never said yes/no, but begrudgingly got some tools together and stated to work on the nail. The nail completely broke off later that day. I am a very generous tipper, but the only reason why these ladies got $1 to split was because I was not waiting around for my change. Now a week and 2 days later and my hand cuticles are shredded! I started to notice some days later that my cuticles seems quite dry. A day later I realized my cuticles weren't dry, they were actually peeling back from growth because she shredded the whole finger area below my nails/above my first knuckle. These ladies were rude at best. Don't waste your money here; you may as well throw it away. read more

The nicest thing I can say is that the shop is very clean. Oh and they have a nice assortment of colors. As others have commented there aren't any massage chairs. Unfortunately there isn't any massage either. The owner, Soli, did my mani-pedi. She barely rubbed my feet and legs during my pedi and then completely forgot to massage my hands. Nada. Nothing. Not even a bored attempt at rubbing cream into them. My nails were filed leaving several rough edges. Cuticle care was minimal. The paint job was mediocre. She actually completely missed sides of four toenails! I could have done better myself. There are great salons out there. Unfortunately this isn't one of them. read more
