Deep Fried Ice-cream & Churros. This plate stole the show! Amazing for under $9. Delicious!
    King B.

Not the best mexican fajitas ive ever had but they were good. I find it funny sour cream comes in packets priced by the packet. The chips and salsa was mediocre, chips didnt seem warm or fresh and the salsa was largely diced veggies in a water sauce very much unlike most other mexican restaurant salsas which is a uniform paste. The fajitas were a large portion but unless you are a veggie lover like me you may be dissatisfied with the meat portions. The steak was surprisingly excellent minus a lil piece of gristle. The chicken was bomb. The star of the show was the dessert plate, deep fried ice cream and churros for under 9$. My waitress was pretty good and very friendly and the restaurant was an empty ghost town. My stomach hurt the next day so id probablt try another restaurant next time but La Fountain was nearby my airbnb soni walked over and tried it. No regrets.

Small Combination - burrito, enchilada, tostada and hard shell taco

We both ordered the small combination which per the photo you can see is a lot of food, in fact more than either of us could finish. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is average for Mexican food in this state. Nothing outstanding but is of a good value. Restaurant is clean, well lit and festively decorated.

    Chile Verde Smothered Burritos

For many years, I have been searching for high quality smothered burritos. I always crave smothered burritos, but have struggled to find places that smother them the way I want. One night, I stumbled across La Fountain, where my dreams came true. I will proudly say that La Fountain is the absolute best restaurant for smothered burritos. I ordered the chili verde smothered burrito and was amazed at how smothered it was. It was the most delicious smothered burrito I've ever had in my life. I can't even begin to explain how excited and satisfied I was. This is the smothered burrito I have been searching for for many years, and I finally found it. Aside from the heavenly smothered burrito, everything else was perfect too. The chips and salsa were a delightful start. The margarita I ordered was huge and very tasty. I'm excited to come back and try the other margaritas. The service was exceptional too. Our server was very kind, caring, and attentive. I truly felt at home here. Thank you, La Fountain, for completing the part of me that was missing. I now have a place to call "home" for my smothered burrito cravings.

Let's start with the food. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. They bring you two different salsas. The portions are very large. The quality of food is middle of the road. We got enchiladas and fajitas. The service was awesome and very timely. The space is great too with good decor and plenty of tables for parties of all sizes.

This is our go to spot here in Sandy. The food is excellent, the service is great, and you do not have to wait to get a table. The food has excellent flavor, they always bring out fresh chips and salsa when you run out. Specifically, we had the flautas and the Chicken fajitas. The beans and rice were on point and seriously some of the best we have ever had. Price is very reasonable. Overall, I do not understand the negative reviews of this place. I have been to several Tex-mex restaurants and this is easily the best one in Utah. Keep up the great work!

    Scoop of guacamole

Typical Utah Mexican restaurant. Nothing to brag about, decent tasting food with great service. Salsa had a serious kick to it as I was sweating like crazy. Their horchata was creamy and pretty sweet like it should be. I ordered the small combination platter with a side of guacamole. I would go back when I need something in a hurry as it is just so-so food.

One of the best Chili Rellenos I've had, the crust was perfect, the sauce on top was bland, so I used the spicy salsa from my appetizer.

My family stayed down the street at the HGI in Sandy for 5 nights for my son's soccer tournament and we visited Slackwater 3 times. Pro tip: join the waitlist on Yelp! Even during the week, the wait was 30+ mins each time. Food was great. We tried a lot of different pizzas - we got the Chicken Bro-Do, Hot Honey DP, Tikka Masala, Taco Camarones and Margherita. The airy artisan crust is the same on all pizzas and is delicious. I would recommend them all outside of the Camarones which felt a bit underwhelming as there was very little shrimp and flavor was flat. The Citrus Morita dry rub wings are incredible. We ordered these every night. The Morita chile sauce I would throw on everything. Super fresh and flavorful. It had the right amount of heat . The breadsticks are really good. Same bread that they use for the pizza and stuffed with a ton of cheese. Marinara sauce that comes with it is top notch. The Diablo sticks are spicy just to be spicy. The sauce isn't good. We switched to regular marinara. Would recommend staying away from these. Service is great. Everyone is very attentive. The staff definitely give off a chill energy but are focused, alert and friendly. This place is a must if you're in the area. Hope we can make it back someday.

My one complaint is that we made our reservation for 6:15, but at 5:55, I received a text that my table was ready and would only be held for 10 minutes. That means our table would be given away if we didn't arrive 10 minutes BEFORE our reservation time. The pizza is fantastic. Which I kept saying to my party through bites of pizza. It is the crust that makes this pizza. It is a little sweet but not in a dessert way. It has the perfect chewy bite. I was impressed. I never eat pizza crust, not ever, but it was good enough that my dogs didn't get their usual crust treat. We tried 4 different pizzas and I would recommend any of them.

The restaurant is beautiful with fancy light up menus which is needed because it's pretty dark inside. I ordered the beef ribs and my husband ordered the picanha. Both came out extremely tough and chewy. My daughter had to spit out her bite because she got tired of chewing so we had to cut each piece into 1/2 cm pieces for it to be palatable. I've been to Brazilian steak houses before and beef ribs are usually the most tender and flavorful especially when there is bone. The server did say it was going to on the chewy side but I didn't think he was serious. Like why would you make meat intentionally chewy? For a $50 dish that came with no sides and worse than what we've made at home it's pretty disappointing. We also ordered a side of the grilled veggies which had some veggies that were so bitter and others that were undercooked and no seasoning. The purple yams were decent and the coquettes but again the pricing for each was exorbitant. Also because they have a somewhat open kitchen style concept the dining room got extremely hot and we were just dying to get out quickly. For two entrees, two sides, one app, a bottle of water and glass of wine a bill of $225 was not worth it. Sadly not a great experience.
