What an exceptional dining experience! I discovered this restaurant while planning a trip and made a reservation after seeing the excellent reviews and beautiful food photos, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Our party of 4 received a warm welcome and attentive service throughout the evening. Our server, Diana O., was outstanding. She offered excellent recommendations and made us feel right at home. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that the restaurant shares ownership with Sol Agave, another longtime favorite of mine that I visited during COVID. They have been around close to 6 years as I remember how crazy it was to eat out back then. Such memories.... Now back to Blind Rabbit, nearly every dish was outstanding, including the lamb pops, prime rib, steak board, appetizers, and desserts (please check my photos to see how much stuff we ordered). My only disappointment was learning that the mashed potatoes aren't made from scratch, so we chose the baked potato and mac and cheese instead. Hopefully they consider adding mashed in the future. I've given this place a few tries. Today I went in for the lunch special and ordered the salmon. It looked pretty but 2 bites in the fish was super raw. I didn't want to make a fuss so I ate the potatoes which were great but I was the first person in for lunch and they still didn't get my meal right. I mentioned it to the waiter who did nothing. I still paid for my lunch and tipped but I won't be going back. read more

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Blind Rabbit Kitchen. We made reservations for 6:00pm on a Saturday, but it didn't seem too packed when we got there. Parking was fairly easy. There's a parking garage right around the corner. It looks like a valet, but keep driving down and you enter a parking garage (it's a pretty narrow entrance). When we got there on a Saturday night, there were plenty of places to park. Don't forget to grab your 3-hour parking validation before you leave. If not, it's $10 for parking. My husband and I started with drinks and an appetizer. He had the Jefe's Old Fashioned and I had the BRK Flight (the margaritas). My husband absolutely loved the flavor of the old fashioned. It was citrusy and very smooth, with a tad hint of smoke. His only complaint is that his glass was filled halfway, and with ice, so he really only had 1/4 of a glass. It seemed weird to not fill it at least 3/4 of the way. My BRK Flight was heavenly and so fun! It came with four different margaritas and one shot (I would definitely order a second shot next time to split between the drinks). Each margarita was full of flavor and I couldn't pick a favorite. I loved them all so much that I'd probably do another flight again (with a second shot)! The Rib Eye Chicharron was recommended by our waitress and I'm glad we tried it. The guacamole was out-of-this-world delicious! I was worried about the meat at first. When I first took a bite, I thought it was going to be dry, but it was so good! The outside was crispy and the inside was soft and moist. The guacamole, meat, onions, and everything else was absolutely perfect together. I could have eaten many more of these! I ordered the Chef's Favorite Ribeye Melt. The ribeye was delicious! I asked for medium rare and that's exactly how they cooked it. I wish the sandwich had a little more of the money mustard sauce. I could only taste it part of the time. I also wish there had been more cheese and onion added (and maybe something else) because the sandwich seemed a little empty. There was a lot of bread, but it needed more of everything else to balance that out (or maybe thinner bread). Like I said before though, the meat was perfect! The fries that came with the meal were to die for! I'm really picky with my fries, and I felt like they made the perfect fries. I need more fries and ribeye in my life! My husband ordered the Steak board. It says it's shareable, but if you have an appetite, it can be an entree for one. His came with filet mignon, ribeye, bone marrow, asparagus, and he upgraded the pork to lamb for $10 (which he highly recommends). His steak board was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection and melted in his mouth (and mine too since he let me try some). For dessert, we ordered the Butter Cake Stack. If you have a sweet tooth, then this is the perfect dessert! It's vanilla bean ice cream sandwiched in between two delicious cakes with sugar granules on the outside, and drizzled in a raspberry compote. I would have drank that compote if it were socially acceptable! We enjoyed our dinner, but I'd order a different entree if we go back. The steaks were amazing, so I might go that route, or maybe a pasta dish since I hear those are good. I'm 100% getting a margarita though! read more

In Salt Lake City and looking for a different dining area or hot spot, Sugar Box seems to be that place today. This area is booming with plenty of outdoor seating, upscale apartment buildings and a Whole Foods. Blind Rabbit Kitchen was fairly busy, nice interior and window seating to people watch. Our waitress was on task with service, meal delivery and follow up. We were quickly seated in a huge booth and reviewed the menu. Our lunch was eaten later and we agreed to split a meal rather than being uncomfortable. The butter lettuce Caesar salad with parmesan cheese, homemade croutons, lemon juice and dressing was our starter. The salad was simple with large whole leaves and over sauced. A ribeye roasted sandwich on toasted focaccia with honey mustard, melted swiss cheese and carmelized red onions was our entree. The ribeye was overcooked, not medium rare as requested. The large, packed sandwich was ok. The Sugar Box part of Salt Lake City is humming. There are a lot of patrons strolling around looking for dining spots. With Blind Rabbit Kitchen, the decor is very nice, service is good but the food is only average. I hope Blind Rabbit Kitchen can elevate the kitchen staff to match the other components of their establishment. read more

The whiskey spare ribs and whiskey burger had a rich sweetness, the prime rib French dip was incredibly juicy, and the Branzino Al Pastor was the standout--the spicy sauce is unreal I asked to have put on the side. Dessert was just as strong, Butter cake stacks my mom loved but I loved the chocolate cake! They also make special occasions feel memorable--when we came for a birthday, they brought out dessert with a sparkler, which was such a fun touch. Had dinner here with coworkers while visiting Salt Lake City. Right when we walked in, I noticed the nice ambiance, it felt like a great spot for a night out. Unfortunately, the start wasn't ideal. We sat for over 1t minutes without anyone checking on us, brining water, or even acknowledging our table. Eventually, I flagged someone down, and they sent our waiter over. Thankfully, he apologized and completely turned the experience around with excellent service for the rest of the evening. Since it was hot outside's I started with an ice-cold House Blonde beer, which hit the spot. Has another and then tried the Grilled Pina cocktail, and it was fantastic. We skipped the appetizers, although several sounded tempting. For my entree, I ordered one of the four recommended dishes the Branzino Al Pastor. The sea bass was flavorful and cooked well, and I really enjoyed it. The only downside was that it had quite a few bones. I'd recommend asking for it to be deboned beforehand. Located in the heart of Sugarhouse we decided to give Blind Rabbit Kitchen a try as we've heard some good comments about this place. Parking is challenging in this area due to all the housing and restaurants nearby however there's an underground garage under this building and the restaurant will offer a parking validation. Blind Rabbit is brought to you by the same owners as Sol Agave downtown and we really enjoy that restaurant too so are expectations were high. The place is decorated nicely and quite spacious with room for larger parties to be accommodated. Our server was Javier and he was prompt and friendly to take care of us this evening. He offered us some great recommendations since it was our first visit here. We ordered the bread basket, grilled artichokes and asparagus fries for the table. Two out of three I would recommend. The bread basket is silly with just a couple of rolls, butter and honey. Not amazing. But the flavors of the artichokes and asparagus were outstanding. The asparagus fries were coated in parmesan and had a cilantro lime dipping sauce. Yummy! Several of us ordered Mom's Fried Chicken because it sounded so good and our server recommended it. WOW! Comfort Food! Two pieces of breaded chicken layered on the plate with mashed potatoes, corn and a biscuit. This dish made me happy. Of course we were tempted to order dessert too so we selected a butter cake stack to share. It's also served at Sol Agave downtown. This is a rich butter cake with berries and a touch of ice cream. A delicious spot to go for a date night or special night out in Utah, as this was our sendoff meal after spending 2 weeks in Park City for the final Sundance Film Fest. We walked in and had our choice of table which was great, so we picked a decent table and had private dining experience. Service was very friendly and attentive, and we ordered quite the spread to try from. The brie was the only thing that wasn't special, it was a decent choice for dessert with some wine, which was a nice ending. The Lamb Lollipops win best dish for us, incredibly cooked, so fresh and flavorful, I'd call it a must. The Mescal Pasta was interesting, different ingredients than I was used to, it was very good to eat but for some it may be too saucey. My girl for the Moms Fried Chicken, which to be honest, was incredible. If you are getting mains this is a must have. Overall, this spot is definitely top tier, and we highly recommend it! read more

This place is adorable! Lots of decor that takes the rabbit theme to the max. We went late (still within reasonable hours) and sat at the bar to eat. Went back for the $15 lunch and it was perfect. We started with sparkling water, then split a Caesar salad to kick things off--crisp, fresh, and exactly what you want at lunch. My other half ordered the salmon lunch, and I went with the prime rib sandwich, which I was very happy about--great portion and full of flavor. I added a side of clam chowder, and honestly, it's probably the best clam chowder I've had in Salt Lake so far. I've been here a handful of times now and have had great service every time, food has always been decent. My bf really likes their prime rib dip sandwich and gets it every time we go. He also thinks their "Call Me Yuli" cocktail (whiskey sour with hibiscus) is the best drink in SLC lol. I've had their asparagus fries, prime rib dip, pork belly tacos, bone marrow tacos, and butter cake before. I really liked their pork belly tacos; the prime rib dip sandwich and butter cake was pretty good, but everything else was just okay. I feel like their bone marrow tacos are one of their most popular items, but unfortunately both times I've had them they've just been alright. I was sad to see the pork belly tacos weren't on the menu anymore! Hoping they'll be back, because I would definitely go back for them! Ambiance is clean, elegant, can be a nice date night out, but you can also dress casually. Be careful if you're seated on the east side of the restaurant; the kitchen is so close, the smoke ended up seeping into our hair and clothes and wouldn't go away until we showered/washed our clothes! Overall would recommend, definitely try their prime rib dip sandwich, the pork belly tacos (if they ever come back), and the Call Me Yuli cocktail. read more

Very cool and unique restaurant. We went on a Sunday night around 7pm without a reservation and we were seated immediately. The staff were nice and welcoming. The food was delicious. Decided to give it one last try after the new menu came out. While the food was generally good, the lack of service was yet another let-down. There were only 3 tables seated in the entire restaurant, including us. Started with again waiting over 10 mins for someone to offer us water and take our appetizer order. Then, after our mains were delivered, waiting over 5 mins with repeated attempts to flag him down for our server (the bartender) to deliver a steak knife so I could eat my dinner. Mind you, still only 3 tables in the entire restaurant. Cocktail drinks, and not just ours, were a lackluster 2-3 shakes over his shoulder, as if he couldn't even be bothered. Definitely get your bang for your buck. I ordered the salmon lunch special. It was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor!! The veggies and mashed potatoes that came with it were delicious, as well. In addition to my lunch dish, I got the asparagus fries. They were a tiny bit too breaded, but the sauce that it comes with is super tasty. The service was okay. The setting plate I got was dirty so that was a bit gross. Also, when I asked to sub out the mashed potatoes for some more veggies, they declined my request. Stopped in for lunch and started with the Tuna Tostado and Lamb Lollipops. What a way to start the meal. Both were fantastic but the Tuna won my heart immediately. Absolutely outstanding flavors. Fresh bites with a subtle spice and heat that danced together beautifully. For entrees, I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich. Again the flavors were great. I did find the choice of bun to be too dense for the delicate fish and found myself pulling it a part to eat it sans bun but I wasn't mad about it. I am in love with this place!! amazing ambiance, staff, and food! You can't go wrong. I recommend doing a reservation that way you are guaranteed a seat. Our waitress was a so kind, attentive, and amazing at giving recommendations. It was a little noisy inside, but not too bad to where you cannot have a convo with the person sitting in front of you. It is also a little crowded, like the seating is a little too close together, but that's ok. The food was delicious!! So many options, but not too many to where you feel overwhelmed. It is hard to describe what the serve because there is a bit of everything. We got their bone marrow tacos to start, their burger, the grilled sea bass (I can't remember the official name of the dish), and their flourless molten lava cake. Everything was a 1000/10. We went to Blind Rabbit on a Saturday night. The restaurant was full but not overly busy our server Ben was great. I had never been there before. There were four of us. The atmosphere was good and it seemed like a good place to eat. I picked this place because of the reviews and it is part of the Rezy network. For an appetizer we had asparagus fries which tasted good. But a couple of them were really tough to eat should have cut them wit a knife. I had the ribeye which came with beet salad and a soup which was clam chowder. The chowder and salad were good but my steak was cold. First time I have ever been served a cold steak at a restaurant. Portion was kind of small as well. My wife had the beet salad with chicken she liked that. My daughters had the wasatch prime rib dip and the crispy chicken sandwich. They both liked their sandwiches and they both said the fries were really good. My daughter said her chicken sandwich was cold. She took half of it home and warmed it up in the air fryer the next day she said it was much better when it was hot. All in we were $124 + tip with one soda and no other drinks. Overall we felt the food was good but the cold steak and the cold chicken sandwich were off putting especially for the price point. If you park in the underground parking don't forget to get a validation. read more

We loved this place. Really cool vibe. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. Enjoyed her friendly demeanor and suggestions. We tried the asparagus fries to start and they were fantastic. Flavor and cooked just right. Not soggy but not raw in any way. The sauce was fire! Ordered the bbq whiskey ribs and the Serrano pasta. Both were very flavorful. The pasta absolutely had a kick but it was just right. If you're a lightweight with spicy I'd avoid it. If you like a little bite this plate is wonderful. Also ordered the Caesar salad. Unusual presentation but very good. The salad is on the small side. The portions of the entrees were great. The entrees truly vary in price from around 23 all the way up to $127. So it completely depends on what you get. This was our first time coming and we will for sure be back. We finished with the butter cake stack and it is an absolute must try. Soooooo good. Only one I've ever had that's better is from sol agave and that one isn't much above this. Just excellent. I can easily recommend this place!!! read more

We tried this place a few weeks ago. I'm giving it 4 stars but honestly it is closer to 3.5. It's a rather large restaurant and on the evening we went it was probably only 1/3 full. Service was good and restrooms were clean. We started with the grilled artichokes and they were horribly small (no meat). They were perfectly cooked and the dipping sauce was flavorful but there was hardly anything to eat. I hadn't had pork chips in a few years so I tried their take and it was pretty good. I didn't taste much miso in the glaze but it was good. My husband had the fettuccine and said it was "fine". Our biggest gripe is the lack of ventilation in the building. You are definitely going to smell like the restaurant the rest of the night. We may try it again one day. read more

Disappointment. Under my napkin was a dirty plate with a very obvious stain on it. Looked like a smear. Bigger than my thumb. Why would you put that on the table for someone to use? That is so gross. I don't even know what to say honestly, it's like the most basic thing at a restaurant to have CLEAN plates! She is the one who brought me a second dirty plate so idk, maybe I should've said more lol. Cuz like what the heck man! The French dip and mezcal pasta were top notch and absolutely fantastic. 10/10 would recommend and will return for those. The asparagus fries were not very flavorful and very tough/fibrous on the lower half. The shrimp salad was really overwhelmed by the dressing and the shrimp was rubbery and overcooked. We started the night with the bone marrow and ribeye tacos and the spinach artichoke dip. I wish the pieces of ribeye weren't cut into as small of pieces. And the chip to dip ratio was off. We ate through all the chips and still had 1/2 dip left. And we dipped very heartily. We asked for more chips and ofc we got charged for them. Not my fave for bad portioning. I ordered the prime rib dip and it was delicious! My friends got the Alfredo and unfortunately it wasn't a great temp (Luke warm). My friend got the ribeye salad and unfortunately the potato salad wasn't warm like the menu said. My other friend got the friend chicken and enjoyed it! She said the biscuit was very light and fluffy. I will just say this much - and it's my constant gripe with "fancier" restaurants. MAKE YOUR OWN FRIES! Stop paying for frozen French fries and frying them. Please make your own! It makes all the difference. For the price that we paid I feel like I expected a higher level of attention to detail. This restaurant was highly recommended to me by a mutual friend and I think it has potential, but there is definitely room for improvement! I ordered the petite plate, which has a flank steak (probably close to 4 oz), however it was advertised as a ribeye steak. The steak was okay, a bit dry for my liking. Along with it comes a beet salad, bread, and a small serving of the soup of the day. I had read other reviews of people not being fans of the beet salad, but thought I would give it a go myself, but unfortunately I agree, it's definitely a unique taste! The soup of the day was delicious, it was a rib eye tomato bisque with potatoes. Although the food left more to be desired, the service was great, with multiple refills! Had heard good things about here so we decided to try it out. Food was good, we had the artichoke and lamb lollipops as an appetizer and both were amazing. Our server was very friendly and seemed attentive but any of our special requests she either didn't write them down or forgot and when our food came none of the special requests happened. The decor does fit the name, definitely see how it all ties together. It was pretty smoky inside from the browning of steak butter, hurts the eyes. It is pricey so be prepared, a little tidbit there are no refills on sodas, found that out when the bill came. read more
