Dr. Nippet almost killed our puppy. We kept telling him that something was wrong with her, and he…read morewouldn't even put a stethoscope on her and listen to her lungs. Her hair was falling out, and I thought she was going to die so I took her to another vet where she had full-blown pneumonia and when they transferred the records on Tuesday , they doctored the temperature that my dog had the previous Saturday from 104.5° to 102.5°, which would be normal for a dog to make it look like there was nothing wrong with her when we brought her in that Saturday Thankfully I don't bring any of my dogs there anymore. Like someone else said if you love your animals don't bring them there. I also had a dog that went blind and he did nothing for the dog. He told me that the dog had detached retina and told me that if I wanted to, I could put my dog down even though he was healthy. It turned out that a heart guard, flea and tick medication I put on my dogs back made him go blind because he was a senior dog and if I would've put him down if I had listened to Dr. Nippet and my dog would've been dead for no reason because his eyesight eventually did come back when that medication wore off.

Recently the practice was turned over to a new doctor, she was completely complacent when we took our elderly dog in for multiple visits to check on her back legs. To no avail, and hundreds of dollars later she had no answer with a shrug of her shoulders. We recently put her down, a member of our family for 15 years. The morning of the appointment with Billings they told us they did not have the medication to put her down, tugging on our heart strings.. from there we did not want to have her in any more pain and we scrambled to find a qualified vet, who is prepared to deal with animals and how much they mean to our families. I do not recommend this doctor, it's such a shame how rapid the decline of care this animal hospital has had in the last 2 years.

As heartbreaking as Fred's passing was, we knew Fred was in pain and could not wait any longer. My family and I could not have asked for a better person than Michelle to support us during Fred's passing - she was kind, sensitive, and empathetic from our first point of contact. We were profoundly touched by the care and thought she put into every aspect of the euthanasia process, from the time she let us spend with Fred after his passing, to ensuring that he had a pillow under his head during his ride from our home. As devastating as Fred's death has been, we could not have asked for a better send-off. We were relieved that we didn't have to bring Fred to the vet's office to say goodbye, which would have made him anxious during his last moments. We were also grateful that he could pass in the comfort and serenity of our backyard, one of his favorite places to be during his life. Michelle even sent us a sweet card a week later. VetMedics truly care about you and your pets. When the time comes for your family to make the decision that we did, we highly recommend you choose VetMedics to accompany you on that journey.

New Years eve my almost 17 yo Pug Maia is having trouble breathing, my vet is closed, emergency vet…read moredidn't open for another 3 hrs. I was in a panic. Then I remembered I boarded my dogs here a couple weeks prior,. I called & was told to bring her in now. Dr Schwarz comes into exam room, gives her a look over then listens to her heart & says I need to take chest Xray now. I knew @ that moment from the very concerned tone in his voice & the look on his face that my girl wasn't coming home. After he gave me a detailed explanation of the X-Ray he brought me to her. 2 of his staff were standing over my girl, one giving oxygen & slowly petting her & talking to her, the other also petting her, it appeared were assuring Maia they were with her. I had to make the decision to let my furbaby go. Dr Schwartz gave her the 1st shot & I was able hold her, hug her, stroke head talk to her, until the end. As upsetting & heartbreaking this was Dr Schwartz (who is not my dogs vet) could not have been more wonderful, compassionate, or empathetic. And this extends to all the staff who were there. I want to say THANK YOU for making this very upsetting situation "tolerable" with the kindness you extended to me, I deeply appreciated it. A few days later I get a sympathy card from Dr Schwarz w/ doggy footprints. Thank you, again Most deserving of a 5 -Gold Star rating

Slowly, things like grooming and boarding shut down, the vet would always come in slurring, stumbling, drunk. Questions stopped getting answered. Appointments cancelled by them. I had tried to make an appointment in late June and was told to just go somewhere else. So I did.... In August I immediately get bombared with calls, texts, emails about how my pets are due for vaccines now. They continued to lie and pressure me about dates (my pets are not due until September). When I asked "I'll make an appointment but can you tell me what just happened for the last few months and why your staff advised me to seek elsewhere?" I was hung up on and never received another notice or message. Something really shady is happening at this poor excuse of a "practice".

Her wisdom and forethought went above and beyond my expectations, and believe me, I had rehearsed this terrible day many times in my head. My call was promptly returned, a convenient time scheduled, and the process discussed. During this time of social distancing, some special accommodations needed to be made, but they in no way interfered with the love my dog received that day. Dr Dale played music made for dogs ears only and was extremely comforting to me as well. She made a clay print of my dogs paw, which I will cherish forever. The support Dr Dale gave that day extends far beyond as she checked in on me and provided access to support groups. When I picked up my dogs remains, they where surrounded by meditation gardens and considering the circumstances (pandemic restrictions) I couldn't have asked for anything more comforting and reassuring that my dog was truly loved and that I had made the right decision. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Kathy Bremer at XTerra Dalmatians
