    Super Bowl - steak

Great fast casual peruvian food! It has a great line of up of food to choose from, bowls, meal, grilled chicken and seafood! The steak bowl I tried was full of flavor and if it werent for the plantains or the sauces it reminded me of a great chinese stir fry. A lot of price points to choose from range from under 10 dollars to up to 20 dollar dishes for an individual meal for one person. There is a sauce bar too! A nice lady manages the dining room by clearing plates for guest.

We finally tried La Granja last night and WOW! I really didn't know what to expect since it's in an old Burger King and looks like a fast food chain. I'd say it's more fast casual because it offers way more than typical fast food. It's got a very broad menu of Latin foods from fried fish, burritos, and even ceviche. A little bit for everyone. The service was wonderful. It's counter service but a lovely lady was taking food to the tables and checking on everyone like she was everyone's abuela making sure everyone liked their food and ate enough. She was so sweet. I ordered the lomo saltado and it was a huge serving. I still have tons of leftovers that will probably make two more emails for me easily. My husband got the spicy fish and shrimp that was also very tasty. It's definitely better than fast food. Just served in a fast food store. So good and I highly recommend it!

I have been to multiple locations in Broward. This is my favorite restaurant in this Genre. They beat Pollo tropical hands down. The chicken is always fresh, juicy, hot, and plentiful. The onion relish bar is a delicious add-on and the sauces can't be beat. If you're in the area, stop in. You won't be sorry.

Their lomo saltado (beef sautee) and pollo saltado (chicken sautee) are unbelievably delicious. I've had it so many times I've lost count. I use the drive-thru, so when I get home I put the fries and rice in a pot, then pour the pollo/lomo on top and stir to evenly distribute the juices. Their ceviche is also really good and perfectly seasoned. I was hesitant to try it first, because I thought it was a fast food chain, but it's actually a restaurant that happens to have a drive-thru window.

La Granja has finally opened on the east side of Orlando!!! I have been a fan of La Granja ever since I stumbled across the Fort Pierce, Florida location while riding my motorcycle home to Orlando from a trip down to south Florida. We have had locations on Semoran Boulevard for awhile and they have since expanded in Orlando, but now they have finally expanded to the east side of the City Beautiful. This particular location of La Granja is located on Alafaya Trail just south of Curry Ford Road. I believe this is the location of the former Burger King. The location is still a fast-casual type of restaurant. If you are unfamiliar with the term fast-casual, it is just a new buzz word to describe a fast food restaurants and it is an attempt to separate themselves from the negative preconceived notion of what a fast food restaurant is. La Granja is a Peruvian style restaurant that specializes in roasted chicken. As I have said, I am a longtime fan of this establishment and absolutely adore their chicken. I'm a firm believer if you give this place a chance, those other fast food chicken places will never be thought of in the same way again. I also have always liked their onion bar. They have onions with jalapeño, onions in a garlic sauce, onions in a picante sauce and pico de gallo. This is a great accompaniment to add to your rice and beans. All in all, I would definitely recommend a visit to this particular La Granja if you are on the east side of O-Town.

Delicious food, fast service, great cost versus portions. Definitely a preferred lunch location. Even when it is packed the service and cleanliness is maintained.

I give La Granja five stars for the food. We usually ordered the family meal with the rotisserie chicken, my daughter loves their rice and beans and their grilled chicken. we usually ordered to go but occasionally eat in. Love that they have lots of sauces, I would say the place can get very crowded and in peak times it can take forever to order in and in the drive thru, I give them five starts because of the food alone and value for the money.

Food was good, prices were a little high but you got a lot food for it. Went through the drive thru and the service was quick

But they're not really like any empanada I've had before. Granted I feel like I've only ever really had Cuban empanadas, so that makes sense. And while I like the flaky breadiness of those, I really enjoyed these too! The outside gave more of a crispy cornbread vibe which was delicious. I thought I would like the beef empanada the most, but I ended up liking the Hawaiian one more. I love the sweetness of the pineapple, and it was just a lot moister than the other meats. But really, everything was so good. The pandebonos, buñuelo, tequeños - all delicious. But I do wish they were served a little hotter. They do stay warm behind the counter, but I think it would have been even better if they were heated up again before being served.

I can't speak to the food because I didn't eat anything during my visit so this review is based off of the coffee and the ambiance as well as the service. The whole coffee flight concept is an awesome idea! Especially to coffee lovers who want to try more than one thing. A really, really solid idea that more places should pick up on. This is honestly what impressed me the most. Also, they're really creative about their coffee options. I love that there is a coquito latte, and initially that was what I was going to order but then I saw an iced nutella foam latte on there and that won my vote. I'm not really sure what i was expecting. It was beautifully presented and I love that it was not sweet, it was just right. The consistency however was more like a milkshake rather than an iced coffee and after having half of it I was already over it; its very rich. It's a small place with indoor and outdoor seating. I like that they have that Morro design inside just like in Puerto Rico. Service was friendly and timely. I do plan to come back again and try one of their sandwiches.

The sandwich was fresh and flavorful, and the fries came out hot, which made it even better it definitely felt like everything was made to order. The inside has a really cute, old-school diner vibe that adds to the experience. It's a fun atmosphere and makes the visit feel a little different from your typical fast-casual spot. The service was also a highlight the young lady who took our order was friendly, welcoming, and took the time to explain menu options, which I appreciated. My only downside is the pricing. The items felt a bit on the higher side for what you get, so that's something to keep in mind if you plan to visit. Would I come back? Maybe but overall, it was still a great experience.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more First and foremost, this review is a collective of both my visit during the Yelp Week at four different Portillo's locations, mine being at Waterford Lakes, and my initial visit as a regular customer afterwards. Ergo, I will utilize the details for the Yelp Week that easily transfer to a regular visit, plus anything new I got through my second visit. For starters, this Portillo's is in a fantastic spot. If you haven't been to Waterford Lakes, it is a beautiful outdoor stripmall with many stores that are actually worth your time going into, not just store after store of clothing... though they do have some good options like Ross and Kohl's (latter is a "I believe it is there," but I know Ross is there). Upon coming up to Portillo's, you can tell it is that brand new genre of restaurant that is in-between fast food and fast casual. I don't even think it has a name yet. But if you've eaten at the new design for Chick-fil-a or at a Raising Cane's, you know it. Inside, Portillo's really leans on its Chicago roots with 1960s to 1970s silver trailer restaurant vibes, modernly updated. Imagine how those dive diners in the 60s and 70s were but with more technology, neon, and self-service commodities. For me, I have plenty of food here. Portillo's is known for their hot dogs so I had their jumbo chili cheese dog and Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage. I also got their breaded whitefish sandwich, beef and cheddar croissant, and cup of chili on its own. I will say the food, across the board, were all good. I thoroughly enjoyed the breaded whitefish sandwich as they actually make it thoroughly well. There are many places that do fried fish sandwiches in which the fish has been sitting in the freezer for too long and haven't been cooked thoroughly through. Ever bitten into a fish fillet and it is still wet, and sometimes slimy, on the inside? As mentioned earlier, this review is based on two visits. The Yelp Week was dine-in in which the service was great, Katherine was trained well and kept her cool whenever an issue arrisen, and the ambiance just fit the experience. My second time was through the drive-thru. What a below average experience that was. I must stress the staff was kind, but the fact that I had to look at the menu on one side of the building, drive around to the other side and make my order could be debilitating for those who don't have good memories. I wouldn't mind it so much, but isn't that the basic setup of drive-thru? What really got to me was how long it took Portillo's to make my order of two hot dogs and two sandwiches. The total was exactly 18 minutes from order start to finish. Wouldn't have been an issue but I was the only one in the drive-thru line at the time, and this was around 2 p.m. so there weren't that many patrons inside either. At least my food was wrapped securely to make sure nothing falls apart or spills. Ultimately, I am going to give this Portillo's location three-out-of-five stars for its review. I can't just shake the tantamount time it took for my drive-thru order to be made during stretch of downtime while being the only vehicle in said drive-thru. All I know is that I could possibly remedy that time if I take the time to order online or actually come down and order indoors There seems to be emphasize treating the indoor customers over the drive-thru.
