    Lobster Roll(s)
    Christina C.

TJ's has been a quick option for me whenever I'm craving seafood but I don't necessarily want to make the trip out to I Drive or other parts of Orlando for a sit down restaurant. TJ's is a casual spot with no frills, but the service and food are what keep the locals coming back. In my case I was in to pick up my to go order of lobster rolls, but the place was fully packed at dinner time with happy customers! The lobster rolls and fries traveled well, which was a huge plus and tasted delicious! Normally I will get a shrimp option here but I'm glad I decided to try something different this go around! If you're ever in the area and looking for an affordable seafood option, this is a great place to consider!

    Catfish, hush puppies and fries

I heard good things online about this restaurant so naturally I was excited to try this place. I ordered the Catfish meal which comes with hush puppies and fries. The food came out pretty quick and I took it home to eat. There was only 1 fish included in the dinner plate. Any place I have gone to that serves fried fish usually gives at least 2 pieces of fish, if not more. I said to myself, well it is a large piece and has hush puppies. I thought maybe they are cutting back but I'm sure the fish must be really good. The catfish looked nice and crispy but had no taste and also had a bad fishy taste like when fish is either old or undercooked or both! It was very stringy and I honestly didn't even finish eating it. The hush puppies were probably the best thing on the plate and fries were regular seasoned fries nothing special. I would've returned this had I not already gone all the way home. I was so disappointed especially after hearing good things about this place. I was surprised at the lack of quality. I really wanted to like this place as the staff were so nice and friendly. I am hoping the bad quality of the fish is not something that is a regular occurrence and that I caught them on a bad day but regardless my experience was not a good one.

Pros: Fun ambiance. A dining room full of nautical decor, along with some Cracker Barrel charm signage and sayings. Very quaint. Service was nice. It was counter service, but the guy was friendly, and the food came out promptly. The food itself was surprisingly good. The soup was very flavorful, the fried items were not greasy or anything, and the portion sizes were plentiful. Very appreciated. Cons: No real cons. Everything was really great. Tips: Get the gumbo. It's a healthy portion, and it's very deep with flavor. Not spicy. The gator tacos we got had really nicely sized cuts of gator meat. And the swamp sauce was awesome.

Came here for a quick lunch one day after the gym. Worked out, walked next door, and started ordering some food. I started off with the Louisiana Style Gumbo (Louisiana-style gumbo with chicken and Andouille Sausage served with saltine crackers. No seafood!) I guess this item is for people who don't like seafood. I think those people should please leave the state. But as a dish that can also be eaten by people with seafood allergies, I'm so glad this gumbo was so good, so those people can experience gumbo without danger. A good flavor, a hint of spice, and a base that wasn't too tomatoey. All good things. We moved onto the main event, the Fisherman's Catch Platter (Get ALL 4 of the following: Fish filet (basa), 4 jumbo shrimp, clam strips & 3 fried oysters. Served with cocktail or tartar). For an all-fried platter, this wasn't too oily or greasy. It was all well fried, and it also had a great batter-to-protein ratio. Less filler, more seafood. The fish filet was the best part. The basa fish is a type of catfish, so you know it's good. Shrimp per good, clam strips are always only ok and a good ketchup vehicle, and the oysters were good, but if you don't like oysters, these won't change your mind. And because we're just greedy, we also got the Gator Swamp Tacos (Local caught gator tacos on flour tortillas over shredded lettuce & tomatoes, topped with a sweet, smoky "swamp sauce"!). How can you say no to swamp sauce? These were unexpectedly amazing. Nice, big flour tortillas. A metric ton of fried alligator meat. Real good sized hunks of meat, too. Not tiny gator clam strip things. A good little amount of fresh veg. And that creamy, mildly spicy swamp sauce. Man, I could have bought a bottle of that stuff. Very good. Overall, this place was a very pleasant surprise for me. No way did I think a hole in the wall in landlocked Oviedo would provide me a meal this good. But I was wrong. This place is excellent, and you should come here.

Place your order at the counter and then find a seat, they will bring it to you when ready, I sat outside to enjoy the beautiful day. I wasn't sure what to order, I asked the associate that was helping me and he recommended the Red Fish. It's a hearty texture fish, but they cooked it perfectly, paired with the 2 hush puppies and coleslaw which I loved. I chose the sweet potato fries, they were also really good. For dessert, I ordered the Lemon cheesecake, delicious!! I will go back here again to try some other options.

Discovered this place recently, and it's becoming one of our favorite restaurants. They have really great deals Monday through Wednesday and the service is top-notch. My son loves coming and getting a burger and fried kids' meal that comes with a fountain drink since it's close to his school. They have kids eat free Mondays, fish tacos Tuesdays and AYCE fish Wednesdays. I love that they offer a variety of ways you can get their fish (fried, blackened, grilled) and all have been delicious, though that makes it hard to decide what option to get.

Heyyyyyyy you guyyyyyyyys! Let's get right in, where have I been and why have I never been here before? The gig is up, this place is a gem! Walked in, casual vibe, there is outdoor seating, you order and pick a seat. The menu has great variety, we opted for fried pickles, fish and chips and the chosen fish and baja shrimp tacos, with a side of hush puppies. The hush puppies are a little dense and need some more flavor, even with the honey on the side that was my only so, so, food item. Everything else was truly fresh full of flavor!! I would definitely come back the service was great as well. Let's eat!!

This is a cool little spot with indoor or outdoor seating. It has the feel of a place that is beachside but it is in a shopping center. On arrival you order at the window and food and drinks are brought out. They have a great selection of seafood and plenty of appetizers and specials. Happy hour has discounted drinks too! Everything was fresh and yummy. A good place to pop into!

No flavor at all. Let me start with the coconut shrimp, no flavor just drop fried. French fries were good but no seasoning. The lobster bisk was horrible. Again no flavor and very giddy with tiny sherds of lobster. Mac and cheese tasted like microwave food. My husband had fried scallops and although it didn't have much flavor they were pretty good. All in all great for all the seniors that were there but not for younger folks or anyone who likes to taste their food. Sadly to say won't be returning.

The customer service I received both at the speaker box and at the window was disappointing. However, what concerned me most was the quality of the food. I spent approximately $25 on my meal and drink. Everything tasted as though it had been cooked in old oil and left sitting out. There were burnt pieces of fryer debris on both my fish and chicken. The corn was hard and dried out, and although the coleslaw tasted fine, it was warm. I attempted to eat the meal but ultimately had to throw it away due to the poor quality. It is one thing to experience unsatisfactory customer service, but serving food that is not fresh or properly prepared will certainly result in lost customers. I kept my receipt and would like to request a full refund for this purchase. Please let me know the next steps required to resolve this matter. I look forward to your prompt response. To my surprise, I was disappointed by the food. I got the loaded frings and a 5 x 5 burger. I believe the burger is relatively new, since it wasn't on any of the pictures of their menu on Google. Ambiance: The staff was friendly enough and I do like the fact that you can see them cooking the burgers in front of you. However, looking around at the restaurant, it looks like there was no upkeep. There were broken tiles, tables weren't cleaned, and I believe there might have been mold when I was filling my water cup at the ice machine, like visibly on the spout. Food: Loaded frings- I'm not sure how you mess this one up, but they somehow did it. The fries were overcooked and the bacon was fried to hell. I think you can actually see how burnt the bacon was in the pictures. It tasted like charcoal. Lastly, the fries were completely soaked in cheese sauce, which I'm guessing was from a can. It tasted like the cheese you'd have at state fairs, except more watery. There was more sauce than fries and onion rings! I should have taken a picture after eating half of the fries. I could not eat the bottom half of the frings because it was all soggy Burger- the same cooked-to-hell bacon was used on the burger. Not much else need to say about that. Looking at the picture of the burger, you'd think that the patties were way overcooked as well. That was not entirely the case. The patties weren't extra dry, but they weren't as juicy as I would have liked a burger to be. I'd say it was just okay. Maybe a half step below average. I really wanted to like this place, but I wasn't able to. I'm not sure if I came by on an odd day, because the reviews say otherwise. I really hope management can fix these issues.
