I've eaten in and gotten take-out a couple times now. This is a pretty good Mexican place. Entrees run anywhere from $8 to $15. The chicken they use is moist and flavorful. Their red enchilada sauce has a spicy kick and the rice has always been fresh and tasty. Their "salsa" is actually hot sauce... so if you're a chunky salsa lover, you won't find it here. The service is probably the only thing they really need to work on, because the servers seem to congregate in the back instead of tending to the tables. There's a full bar and televisions if you want to stop in just for a drink... but I suggest sitting down for a nice dinner.

Found this place by accident. I ordered basic tacos. Beef, onion, and cilantro with corn tortillas. I had had to ask for my tortillas to be double stacked. I'm 43 and this has always been the standard on a taco with corn. They didn't even put the tortillas 9n the flat grill. Tbis I also thought was basic practice on a authentic taco. They went very light on the onion and cilantro. Cmon its a basic taco lol. Also the sign where they say the bank charges 4 cents for every dollar I say is BS. Won't be coming back. Taylor is pretty close to Detroit. Drive the extra 20 min and get some real authentic mexican.

Growing up this used to be in Detroit and this was a staple in our family when another Mexican restaurant shut down. I have gone here and there when the location changed and I wanted to go a couple times during Corona but they were shut down. I read one review where they charge literally for everything and I assumed yes sour cream jalapenos I get that. What I was not expecting was to be charged for extra chips and salsa. My problem it was not disclosed or on the menu. I was offered another basket, btw were not really filled and the sauce cups are pretty small. I declined lucky i did. The queso flameado tasted and looked like hamburger meat very soupy with tomatoes and not very much cheese. They only serve it with 3 tortillas. This is an appetizer between 2 people. Now that third basket would of came in handy for all that I had left over. When I got the bill I was shocked. An additional $5 to my bill. I do not know if this is a new thing because of Corona bc I do not recall this in the past, but there is far better places to go and on top of it will not be nickelodeon and dimmed. Way over paid for half filled baskets. I will no longer be a continued patron and if you guys keep this up you will be losing business which honestly looks like it has been happening because your never busy.

A complete offense to real "Chardonnay" and served to someone who they, unknowingly, isn't an idiot.

After my last review (take-out), we decided to visit this place in person. I was absolutely taken aback. We got there at 7:28 PM on a Saturday night. We were 1 of 2 couples in there and yet it took 10 minutes receive menus after only being acknowledged by a "sit anywhere you want" without even making eye contact. RESTERAUNT TRICK: That red sauce that they bring to your table with your "red light" chips is just CANNED tomato sauce and MAYBE some cumin and salt, usually too much salt! This cuts down on their cost by taking advantage of their patron's ignorance of what "salsa" should look and taste like. THAT is not it. When they FINALLY managed the short walk to our booth, I ordered a glass of Chardonnay, as usual, and a Diet Sida for my husband. When they brought my "wine" (see picture), I knew from the color that a taste would make me ill. When a Chardonnay has been sitting for a long period of time, opened or not, it can "turn". It gets darker, like apple juice, and a bitter taste like sucking on a dirty penny. Chardonnay should be clear with a hint of amber. My husband told me to taste it. Why I did, I still don't know. If this was to be any indication of further service and cuisine, I wanted neither. I picked up my purse, offered to pay for the soda and left. They are complacent. They think they corner the market on Mexican because of their monopoly (so far) and have no use for customer satisfaction anymore. What will happen when competition comes knocking?

My go to Mexican restaurant without having to drive all the way to Mexican town. The food can't get more authentic than La haciendas menu. Inexpensive restaurant compare to the surroundings ones. If you're looking for a good meal with some booze, this the place to go! I order the homemade sangria, and omg it was delicious! I recommend trying out the combination dinner, comes with a variety of food. Service was good, the waitress was constantly checking on us. Local Mexican restaurant that has been open for over a decade. The salsa isn't chunky, but it's tasty serve with some homemade warm chips. Margaritas are on point.

My husband and I both have travelled past this restaurant a gazillion times but never stopped. We decided to give it a try. My first impression upon walking into the restaurant admittedly was not a good one. This place is in need of a major makeover. The table, chairs, lighting and overall decor is extremely outdated. We didn't see anyone in sight to seat us, so we seated ourselves. We waiting over 15-minutes before a young lady stopped by to give us a menu. The menu has many choices so that kept us busy until the waitress returned to take our order. We were also give a basket of chips and rather thin salsa. I would have appreciated a wax sheet to line the chip basket. I was skeptable as to whether these are washed between customers. The chips were okay; not salty as all. The dip was thin but didn't taste bad. I ordered the combo meal which came with a beef taco, cheese enchilada, burrito with some sort of chopped beef inside and tostada. All in all, no complaints other than the chopped/stredded beef in the burrito could have been more tender and flavorful. All the food was at proper temperature and tasted pretty good. The beans and rice were nothing to write home about, but I haven't found a Mexican restaurant that has had outstanding beens and rice anyway. My husband enjoyed his meal but felt he could have been given two chimichungas instead of one for the price. However, he enjoyed his meal as well. Can't decide whether or not to return, I just really didn't like the atmosphere. Perhaps carryout.

Food is very bland, no flavor. Sat here for the whole 4@ mins without a refill. Only one waitress and the food was soo greasy. Everything was deep fried. I do not recommend this place. Though it was clean, just terrible food.

We love this place and we eat here often. A little outdated on the decor but who cares? The food is always great and they have a full bar.

Delicious, authentic Mexican food. Generous portions, good prices, what's not to love? And-clean bathrooms, always a bonus.

He got the chimichanga, my husband the botana and my mother in law the quesadilla. We all had leftovers! This was on the heels of a bad experience at Mr, Miguel's so I was thrilled with my meal! I talked to the manager and he said they did start adding a sauce or salsa. It ruined my favorite dish that we came there for 37 years before Covid. We all would get it. My family decided to celebrate my husband's birthday there very recently I decided what can go wrong with my second favorite Chicken Fajitas. Well, the below is what I got. Only a couple little green pepper pieces, a couple onion pieces and more tomato pieces than both peppers and onions. Where are the peppers and onions? This picture is the whole meal all burnt and dry. This is such a downgrade from a typical fajita. I dipped a chicken piece in sour cream to wash it down, it was dry. I brought it home and my son ate it and couldn't believe what he saw when I said it was Chicken fajitas. He hated it, it lacked all the flavors that make it good and it was hard to chew. I've tried a lot of foods there, I am not fond of anything but the 2 loyal dishes I loved. Both have been destroyed. If you add salsa to a chimichanga then you won't notice a difference but if you don't you certainly will notice the flavor change. For 37 years it was our favorite place, now it's the very bottom of a list of places to eat, actually we have nothing to order from there anymore. I couldn't even enjoy the hot tea, I asked for lemon and was told you don't have any but gave me a lime ruined the tea! I read on one review you said it's the same as it always was there but you're wrong, chimichangas are not as they used to be after adding the red sauce in it, lemons gone, dry fajitas without peppers and onions you can actually taste and see. Your quality of food has definitely changed for the worst, regardless of you saying otherwise. I will not tell people how great your place is anymore but tell them not to go if they're expecting the chimichangas they've loved for years, because they're gone. 2 different restaurants with Chicken fajitas 2 different presentations- which is more desirable looking. And yes this is the amount of fajitas minus 1 small piece of chicken on the last picture that Mexican Gardens gave, for $20- with a little guacamole, sour cream and rice on a side plate. Price is not justifiable to us considering the quality of this dish I got. The last 2 times we went the restaurant wasn't even half full, which is odd considering every other time in the past before past 2 years we had to wait quite a while to get in and not hardly any empty seats. With a table for 8 it took about 5-10 minutes to put it together. The only 2 times in 37 years the restaurant wasn't full and it was a weekend when it's usually very packed in the past, and those 2 times were within about 6 weeks recently this year. So sad it used to be one of the very best, we passed over all other Mexican restaurants to go there, not anymore. So sorry to leave this horrible review but thats how bad our experience was.

Taco's were well made, with double corn tortillas, packed full of meat , no skimping here, and just cilantro and onions. Definately very authentic Mexican style taco's and not the Americanized versions you find throughout the area. My only qualm, which was minor, was that the meat was lacking the seasoning I like when in Mexico which gives the flavor pop that I personally like. I took care of this with some salt and pepper along with salsa to tune the taco to my personal taste. Relative to the Salsa, there was a walk up Salsa bar with multiple Salsa's to select from which I truly liked and reminded me of one of my favorite Taco Joints in Puerto Vallarta, Taco's Revolution. These salsa bars, are quite convenient and act as a "Fixing bar" that allows you to tailor the taco to your personal taste. I have not seen this before in this area and wished more businesses did it. They also need to add the cucumbers (dont knock it till you try it) and some onions as well to complete the fixing bar. (: Food comes with gratis nicely mildly seasoned chips which I really liked. The seasoning is more than just salt, quite tasty and unique to this business, Very nice! Relative to the facility and staff, the restaurant is a no frills operation and has a relatively small footprint with a limited number of tables which is probably something to keep in mind during peak dining hours. Clearly they let the food do the talking here. Staff is very friendly with prompt service and good follow up throughout. Overall a very good Mexican restaurant as reflected in the good Yelp reviews. The quality of the food and at the price point it is being sold at make this a must try if you are a fan of good Mexican food, in particular Street Taco's.
