We describe La Curva tacos as being a lighter/healthier version of Mexican tacos. The tortillas are made in house! Fresh is always great! Their tortillas do not taste like 'dipped in hot oil traditional' Mexican tacos. Their menu choices consist of a variety of bistec meat taco 'ordenes'. I love trompo, and they don't serve trompo tacos here. The beans need a little more flavor. Fast service, tacos orders came out after adequate wait time. We will come back! This restaurant is absolutely disgusting! Flies everywhere and in food! Never eat here! The manager double charged me at the counter and didn't even apologize when I got my 2 alerts from my bank about both charges! Don't overcharge people! I love this place. Two meats on the menu in a limited offering of tacos, gringas, and something else that I can't remember right now. Some people love it when the restaurant offers a limitless menu of options. My opinion is, offer only what you're good at making. La Curva does that by keeping a simple menu of carne and al pastor which are both friggin amazing. There are giant molcajetes filled with salsas in the entrance I addition to the red and green salsas found on the tables. Two people can easily gut stuffed to the gills here for under $20. This is the first time my husband and I have visited this taco shop. Very good service. The tacos were good but they were be better if the tortilla would have been bathed in oil. For my taste, the sauces lacked a little more spiciness they also have enchiladas. I really love coming here because it feels like home. First, I love coming here exclusively for their papa asada. It is one of the best I have had in the RGV. Everytime I come back I need to come to la curva for their papa. They put mexican cream and butter so it's super creamy!! Reminds me of the ones I had from RB. The tacos are good but I don't really like that the meat has a lot of fat in it. This is definitely a personal preference, but it's just the way I prefer them. The meat was a little chewy too but the flavor of it was really good. Their green salsa is also not my favorite but I do love their beans. Bistek in RB is chewy. The papa sencilla was great as always although they've been skimping out on the cheese and butter lately, making the baked potato taste dry. However, when you order, they don't take 30+ minutes for an order of 5 tacos with a papa sencilla like Taqueria39. Love these tacos, I used to live near the one by the university in mission and just discovered this location in mission. The RB are my go to but their pastor tacos are really good. They have the best papa especiales and do not skimp on meat, cheese, or crema. Not sure if you want Flour or corn tortillas? either choice is great and they are very authentic and taste delicious. Glad we found this spot on our trip to the valley. We had the "Orden R,B." Which were 5 tacos of bistec (beef steak) made to the style of rio bravo (rio grande) - they have queso fresco and avocado slices on fresh made corn tortillas. Also come with some grilled onions on the side. They were delicious! We also had fresh made lemonade that tasted so good. Thanks for the excellent service! read more

Review is for Palmhurst Location. Restaurant upon entering was clean, mildly busy. Drink station was cleans and stocked. Order taker wasn't engaging I could barely here him speak. I don't know if he said welcome or not. First time here no suggestions offered. Price is slightly high for a taqueria. Now food was brought out fast it was hot and flavorful. Although the portion was not quite to what the picture portrayed. Our order was a papa and regular tacos. The order was brought out in cheap paper plates. Which is not the best presentation. Parking is limited due to it being a small plaza. I opted for the drive thru and ordered the RB tacos. Not the best tacos, but certainly not the worst. The charro beans were also not bad, but not great either. It seemed like a rather expensive meal for the quantity and quality. The combo was just tacos and beans. No potato or drink. Went there on Monday when they have a 4.99 special. Seems to me that their meat is of lower qualiy. During the special,Too much nerve and very little meat on the papa especial. They also forgot one of my orders. I got up and told them about it. They said they were on it. But I needed to be somewhere else soon so I said that I just wanted my refund on that order. If you want good tacos get the RB. This location is good but the location in Edinburg is 10x better. Better tasting fajitas and beans. This location seems to use a lot of cheap ingredients like the queso fresco... But its still good. I recommend y'all try the other location!! read more
