Very friendly and welcoming. Me and my wife came here during the night and the atmosphere was very authentic and the staff member working on April 4 2026 was amazing and welcoming as welll.

My grandma and I love this panadería! The remodel is beautiful--it looks like a brand new place, and the new restaurant space in the back is such a great addition. The treats are always fresh and tasty, and the prices are super fair. So happy they're back!

2 bags worth of pan dulce for $10.50? Cmon now. What a deal! Everything is fresh and soft! I can only imagine what it's like first thing in the morning! Definitely coming back.

New addition to the bakery. They are open 6am.

Let me say this, I am not from here. I came across this bakery by being in the area conducting business. I wanted something to eat and went on yelp to find something in the area. I saw the reviews and decided to try it out. My favorite pan dulce are the orejas. I am from San Diego and having Tijuana practically in my backyard, I don't need to be writing this long review but I did because I got familiar taste to my buds from when I was traveling in Mexico and was in Puebla. Although this is a bakery from Jalisco, they know what they are doing. My first bite into this beautiful Pastry, I said to myself, "A, La, Verrga" 5 STARS. I hope all negative reviews are reevaluated with the fact that quality in a craftsmanship goes a long way and not everyone deserves this majestic treat. My family is from Jalisco and I am sure they would approve. Muchas Gracias

Wow! The best pan Dulce in our area. All items are super fresh, fully stocked, tons of choices and the quality is outstanding. The prices are very affordable and they are all so good that I can't just pick one of my favorites because they are ALL so good.

It's been difficult adjusting to life now that I'm not 10 minutes away from my favorite panaderia. I used to go here weekly and now that I'm about a 40 minute drive away I'm always trying to make a detour when I'm out that way. I've yet to find one just as good or with the same wide variety of goodies. Everything else I've had is always so dry or lacking in the flavor and freshness they provide. And they are ALWAYS pumping it out fresh! Those ovens are running non stop and they are turning out the most beautiful and tasty treats until the sun sets! It's always been such a warm and friendly experience too. I really miss this place and the personable gals working. I just want my giant bags of all my favorites and I hope I can find something even half as good as they are ALWAYS ALWAYS providing. Consistently amazing and fresh! Even in pandemic times I always felt there were a ton of options.

Well here you are, looking at Alpine Pastry and Cakes. Is this place good? Do I take a chance?…read more Will I be disappointed? Yes, it is very good Yes take a chance. You will not be disappointed. My wife and son are dessert snobs. Both have been to Paris and say France has the best pastries. But wait, they just came back from Alpine, and what did they say???? DELICIOUS!! They were smiling from ear to ear! They bought a carrot cake and an assortment of fresh and tasty pastries. And they even let me have a bite. It was so good! Sooooo, yes, try them. We've all had crappy deserts before. Move up to the big leagues and give Alpine a try!

I called in today to see if they could decorate a faux cake for me. Not only was she rude, but she told me she would charge me AS MUCH AS SHE WOULD for a real cake. You mean to tell me it would cost me $100 plus to decorate a piece of Styrofoam? And then, when I told her the shape of the Styrofoam, she flat out said no. As if the shape of the Styrofoam changes the action? And I'm not a baker, at least not a professional one, but something feels off about what feels like the refusal to help me. And it's not like I am looking for free service, I'm willing to pay, but I'm not willing to pay cake prices for icing on Styrofoam. Saying no, as a business is OK, I'm all for it. But customer service needs a serious rebranding. I have never had a good in person/over the phone experience. Their food speaks for itself, but the customer service skills really takes away the value of a local business that has been around for years. I hope whoever I spoke on the phone with has a better day

I came across this pop-up at Epidemic Ales, though you can easily place an order with them on-line for any occasion. My pecan tart was fresh with a flaky shell. For me, the shell of a small tart makes up half of the tart, so it was a plus that it was super duper fresh. The filling was made up equally of fresh nuts but did have a rather prominent taste of alcohol. Some pecan pies contain a bit of alcohol like rum or bourbon. I went on their homepage, and it looks like they also make a Maple Bourbon Pecan Pie. I'm assuming that the tart I got may have been a mini version of that. If you're averse to alcohol in your food, keep this in mind, at least when it comes to their pecan tartlets. Guilty Pleasures makes cupcakes, cakes, pies, cookies and other nicely presented baked goods as well. I spied pre-packaged mixes of mini treats that can be purchased as a nice hostess gift that contained macarons, meringues, and what looked like small pumpkin tarts. I definitely enjoy my sweet treats, but with Guilty Pleasures, it's nice to know that with the smaller bites of desserts I can have them all, minus the guilt...sort of.

What Happened to the Choco Bun?…read more Plenty of free parking. When you walk in, grab a tray and window shop all the pastries. They individually wrap these so grab what you want and place it on your tray. Once you're finished, cruise up to the counter. Would I Come Back? Yes, I keep coming back. I use to come back for the Choco Bun, but if they've changed the recipe at all locations, I'll only be coming back for the Milk Bun and Nougat. Their Signature Item: Egg tarts are their signature item. If you've ever been to an Asian party, someone almost always brings a box of egg tarts from 85-Degrees. But on today's visit. Well, just look at the photo. Someone stepped away from the oven for about 6 minutes too long. Choco Bun ($2.55, Grade D): The Choco Bun has been my absolute go-to for years--the closest location to me is usually the South Sacramento store and I tell everyone they have to get it whenever they visit an 85°C. Unfortunately, it's been about 8 months since my last trip, and the Choco Bun is no longer something to write home about. Milk Bun ($2.05, Grade A+): If you've ever had their Milk Bun with the custard filling, the Choco Bun used to be very similar in texture. Now, it's flat with super dry edges. Not good at all. Luckily, I also bought a Milk Bun (my usual second favorite), and by default, it's now my number one because the Choco Bun was a complete bust. It's so fluffy and sweet. Melts in your mouth. Strawberry Banana Smoothie / no boba ($5.85, Grade F): It was incredibly artificial-tasting--nothing real about it. I only made it through a quarter of it before throwing the rest into the garbage. My fault for hoping for a "just picked" fresh fruit taste, but this was honestly one of the worst smoothies I've ever had. Nougat ($9.60, Grade A+): The bagged Nougat candy is fantastic. It's soft, gooey, and packed with what I'm guessing are pieces of pistachio. Delicious, but a fair warning if you have dental issues: these will wreak havoc on your teeth. It's not quite as sticky as a Starburst, but it could definitely pull out a denture! Bottom Line: The staff here is friendly, and there are still a few standout 5-star items that make a visit worth it (the Milk Bun and the Nougat). However, the disappointing recipe change to the Choco Bun and the absolute miss on the smoothie knock this down to a 3-star experience overall.
