I don't normally rate food trucks but this one was extra special. The woman running it is absolutely incredible. She's funny, sassy and even taught me a little Spanish while I was there. The Chihuahua Dog she made me might be the very best hot dog I've ever had. It has bacon and onions, peppers etc and is quite spicy. It was mouth watering and the smell while she was cooking it made me even hungrier. This is located near the exit of the Home Depot in Bear Valley. The dog, chips and a drink was around nine bucks. Best breakfast burritos around (chorizo). Warning...the hot is DAMN HOT! And the half and half is damn hot. We love spicy but holy mackerel. Big burritos and super flavor. All made fresh so plan on ten minutes but so worth it. read more

Stopped at La Keka this morning for two breakfast burritos. The two people working were very friendly! Everything was made fresh, the burritos are large and the tortilla is outstanding!! I got the chorizo breakfast burrito. While it was a little heavy on the potatoes for my liking, it had some of the best flavor of any breakfast burrito I have had in CO so far. I didn't ask her name, but the single woman running everything solo did amazing. She double checked what vegetables my girlfriend wanted on her vegetable burrito. Great breakfast burrito in the Home Depot parking lot! We arrived a little after 8 am, and the lady running the cart was still setting up. She took our order and said give her 15 minutes, so we went shopping and came back out, she still wasn't quite ready, but it only took a few more minutes to get our food. The burritos were decent sized and tasty. I got the chorizo, and my wife got the sausage. Mine was about perfect, but my wife lacked eggs and was mostly potatoes. All in all, a great place to grab a morning snack, but I could see them getting backed up and taking a lot of time. Pro-tip: If you order your burrito spicey, it will be. Awesome food cart at the Home Depot at the bear valley shopping center at Sheridan and Hampden. I got a hotdog with jalapeños and onions and bacon. One of the best decision I have ever made. The dog was hanging out of the bun 3 inches and was so thick; an all beef dog and very delicious. The ladies there were really nice and there are also Mexican food options if you don't want a hotdog. I have to say, though, try a dog. It's worth it! One of the best hotdogs I have ever had. I will be coming back often. read more

Maybe a little unconventional to add a food trailer to Yelp! but damn this place rocks! La Keka is a small white trailer outside the exit doors at the Hone Depot on south Sheridan in Denver. I had been here once before and he burrito blew my mind. I came again today and decided it's definitely Yelp!-worthy. Burritos are made fresh and hot on the grill when you order. They are, without question, the best burritos I have EVER had. Meat is savory, potatoes are done perfectly, cheese is rich, and you can get it as spicy or is mild as your palate prefers. The lady who runs the stand is super friendly too. She's fluent in English but really loves you if you're a gringo who tries to speak Spanish. The stand is clearly popular with Spanish day crews who work in the area, so you know it's authentic stuff. It's absolutely worth finding an excuse to grab lunch on the south side. read more

I ordered the number 4 carne asada burrito spicy style with a nice cold Pepsi. Sooo good! I'm gonna order the tamale sandwich and the number 7 " tres compadres Burrito" next time. My mouth is burning and my nose is runny from the salsa= authentic Mexican salsa. None of that green chili that Colorado is famous for! Definitely 5 stars and worth every penny! read more

If you like La Keka as much as its 3 previous reviewers, please write a review . When you add a new restaurant / stand in Yelp to write a review, it seems like it is either difficult to find the new business or something else. There have only been 3 reviews, now 4 with mine, for La Keka. As good as their burritos are, there is no reason why this is the case. I did another 1st review for a different street taco stand that seems to have the same issue. Check them out if you like and write about them as well; the stand is called El Pastorsito. My son has been raving about La Keka for over a year. La Keka must open up around 9:00AM so I had difficult getting to them before work. After repeated coaxing, my son finally ran over and picked up 3 burritos for us. Burritos are all made to order so it does take a little time. Tortillas are crisp and warm from being toasted on the flat grill. The filling is nicely seasoned and gets additional flavor from the seasoned flat grill. These burritos were filled with chunks of bacon, potato and cheese. The proportion of meat to potato was great; you get everything in every bite, not just a mouthful of potatoes. Spicy is not for the faint of heart; it packs some heat! The bacon breakfast burrito was $5.75 each for a good size burrito. My son also added the burritos from La Keka have always been great and consistently so for close to a year since he was first introduced. Forgot to take pictures but will do so on the next visit....which will happen very soon! Truth be told, I didn't forget; just couldn't stop eating! read more

Hot on the heels of my last experience here, today I tried the Tamale Sandwich and I am happy to report that it rocks! A tamale wrapped in a french roll with their hot sauce...a very simple idea but it's affordable, delicious and filling. Very good stuff. We've been twice, both times were great. I get the Keka Dog, which has onions and jalapenos griddled with cheese. The cheese gets golden brown and the whole thing is folded onto the hot dog, and it's incredible. My boyfriend has gotten a burrito and hot dogs, and they both were great. When my boyfriend told me his favorite burritos were from a trailer outside of Home Depot I thought he was nuts but I have been forced to eat my words.
