Ugh, I hate to leave this review because I seriously love Lala cafe and I go to their Lower Greenville location daily , but I had the worst experience at this location and won't be coming back. I ordered a large Lululemon chai latte and when I got it, I kid you not--it was gone in two sips. The entire cup was packed with ice, like there was barely any actual drink in there. I went to the counter to order another one and just wanted to nicely show them the cup and ask if they could use less ice this time. I was literally mid-sentence when another girl with glasses interrupted and snapped that since I already finished the drink (again--it was two sips!!), I couldn't get a free one. I explained that I wasn't asking for anything free, I was literally about to pay for another one. She rolled her eyes at me and said, "It's $6.50." Like, wow. Super rude and unnecessary. Customer service 101? Don't roll your eyes at someone who's trying to give you money. If management has any sense, they'll seriously reconsider having someone with that attitude working there. Coming from LA, the location, food, drink and vibes carried straight on over all the way from Cali. Their toast with Nutella and fruit is amazing as expected. Went here for the first time today and it was just at cute as I thought it would be!! It has the most fun vibe. Very bright and fun inside. There was a pretty long line but it went very fast. There were also a lot of people waiting which made us nervous but went by SO fast. Not alot of seating but luckily we got a table. The coffee was DELICIOUS. I got the s'mores latte which was incredible. I had been hesitant to come here because I prefer chocolate flavored drinks and didn't see any really on the menu but their holiday menu is amazing!! Hope it doesn't go away anytime soon. I also got a ham and Swiss croissant which was yummy! More croissant than ham but it was pretty good. The aesthetic of this coffee shop was captivating. Something about the sleek white countertops, velvety seats and delicious smell of coffee begged me to sit and stay awhile. But it was busy, and unfortunately there wasn't much seating so I waited for my coffee and tea to be made and then left. The iced coffee was sweet and creamy and the mango tea (made with agave sweetener) was the absolute perfect refresher. I also had a warmed almond croissant, heavily topped with powdered sugar and toasted almonds, that had this creamy almond paste in the middle of it. It was new taste but I really enjoyed it. This place is filled with good vibes! I ordered matcha lavender and asked for less than 50% sugar and they did make it not sweet at all! Just how I like it! The toasts were so good, so pretty and I didn't want to eat it and break it. My truffle Burrata avocado toast was so good! It has a nice kick of spiciness from the chili flakes. It's a little sour from the lemon and everything paired it so well. They gave such a generous amount of ingredients! Their power went out, but thank god we got our drinks and food before it happened. So some people were able to get their drinks, they were honest about the milk wasn't stemmed enough and it doesn't taste good. But people seem to be okay with it. I love their honesty about it. They had to close down the store early tho:( I wish they have one in WA, we might have to visit LA to get it again(since it's the closest to us)! We will definitely come back for more. read more

A cute local coffee chain with reliably delicious drinks (if a little pricey)! La La Land not only has a great mission, they have good lattes - though the menu is quite expansive and it takes some trial/error to figure out what you'd like. I was recommended the cookies n dream latte, but didn't really like it (tasted vaguely sweet but not unique or cookies-and-cream-y). I did like the perfect matcha latte and would go back for that. The cups are cute and the interior is cute, airy, and bright. It's not the best place for working as there aren't many outlets (if any), there's some indoor seating but not a ton, and the seats are very close to the space where people are ordering and waiting. Overall, though, this place is a little fancy and very delicious, and I will continue to come regularly. read more

But I didn't care for either of the drinks my friends and I ordered. The Happy Day Matcha Latte was gross. The sign advertised it tasted like fruity pebbles.. in what world? It tasted nothing like fruity pebbles. If anything, it tasted like grass. I'm guessing the barista forgot to add some syrup, but it was too late to go back because we already left. I asked for an oatmilk substitute.. and I saw they used Oatly (not a fan of Oatly). I will say that they did blend the matcha well at least. I traveled from Los Angeles, all the way to Dallas to visit La La Land Kind Cafe (joking aside). Found La La Land Kind Cafe on Yelp and wanted to visit them because of the fun bright yellow colors, their cute coffee and tea sleeves and thought it would be a fun place to visit while visiting Dallas (please note that although most of their locations are found in Dallas, there is also one in Houston and also in Santa Monica). I came by here with my husband and our little girl dog on a Thursday, around 4:45 pm. There were a few people ahead of us in line. When it was our turn to order, we ended up getting: Chia Seed Pudding, $5.20 prior to tax- This was much thicker than I was expecting and it was quite a lot for one person. I did like the taste of the pudding and felt it was pretty filling. I liked the fresh fruit on top and wished there were more. Lavender Bloom Matcha Tea, $5.40 prior to tax- I got this drink for myself and requested light ice. The ice is key to making the colors of pink and green but I don't like my drinks too cold (which is why you will see my drink is all green in my photo). I really liked this drink. I loved the lavender flavor and that balance of the vanilla and matcha. It wasn't too sweet and just tasted very smooth. La La Butterfly Tea, $4.20 prior to tax- My husband ordered this and had requested no honey and to be made hot. I didn't have any, but he thought it was pretty good. Pup cup, Free- My little girl dog just loves whipped cream and sometimes we like to order her a pup cup at coffee places like Starbucks that offer this for dogs. ------------------------ (Total= $16.02 after tax) The employee who took our order was friendly and so was the employee at the pick up area. She gave us a small box of ice since I did not eat my pudding until the next day but we were planning on doing a road trip to Austin from here and wanted to make sure that my pudding was still nice and cold (and it was). The unisex restroom was clean upon our visit and adequately stocked with the essentials. With this location, there is very limited parking available out front with only 3- 4 parking spots and 2 on the side. We were lucky to get a parking spot on the side on our second drive around. This location can be found on a corner (look for the bright yellow pick up truck) and is diagonally across the street from Eatzi's Market & Bakery (another great place you should visit). There is also about 4 tables outside for those that wish to enjoy your purchase al fresco. read more

Let's start off by saying what they do well, they do really well: the perfect latte (made with "bell milk," which tastes almost like half n half, but isn't) is bomb. We got an iced one and it was fantastic. Their merch and motto are also very nice. "Be Kind." I can get behind that. Downsides are that there isn't much else. They have some toast and cookies, but I was thinking there'd be more at a cafe. There was no menu board so I had to wait until I was at the counter to see what to order. There was a fairly long wait, but the staff was friendly and the music was good. The seating area wasn't vast and it's pretty high traffic, so we took ours to go (note: they ONLY have to-go cups). I have been wanting to try this cafe forever! I am a matcha girl, so a cafe with an assortment of matcha lattes... count me in! Upon entering you instantly feel kindness from the employees. I engaged in a conversation with each of them! The decor in this cafe is clean and crisp. I went for the La La Matcha Latte iced with Oat milk . So so good! You can taste that they have a good grade of matcha powder. I also got 2 bake goods and the cookie was so perfect. I'm mad I got it because I don't know if I will be able to stop by in the future without getting one! The cookie was huge thick and not too sweet. I came out to La La Land Kind Cafe on a rainy day, looking for a spot to do some work and to enjoy a snack. The decoration and ambiance of the place is hip and sunny, just what I needed. I love the yellow packaging with the witty sayings. Unfortunately, this location does not offer a ton of seating, so by the time I arrived (11am), all the seats were full of brunchers and some workers. I'd say the restaurant can seat about 15-20 people. It would have been a fine place to do some work had I gotten a seat- no loud music playing overhead. Service was quick and very friendly! I ordered a lemonade which was pretty standard. The chocolate chip cookie I got though was super disappointing. Extremely dry, lacking in any real flavor. The croissants looked pretty good, but a chocolate chip cookie is a pretty basic and I wasn't impressed. Price- I paid $8.34 for the cookie and lemonade. Definitely more pricey, especially for the poor quality of the cookie. read more

They really are, I probably would get my coffee cheaper if I didn't use DoorDash all week but after my first in person interaction I promised I'd never return since the service was so awful. Sincerely this review isn't about the product or quality it's about the service. Staff was rude, no one welcomed customers when they entered, I felt rushed while ordering. For it to be a fast paced work environment the staff looked irritated and annoyed like they don't want to be there or help. It's ironic how their cups and logos promote others to "Be Kind"... Maybe the staff should be too?? My first time coming here was such a bad experience. the person at the front was so rude and rushed me through out my order. He didn't offer suggestions and he definitely didn't ask me if it was my first time there. I definitely didn't know they don't take cash and when my card didn't go through the first time, the employee was pedantic and even asked me if I had another payment method. It was embarrassing. At that point, I told him to wait because I was traveling out of state and my bank was unaware I authorized the transaction. (None of that was his business btw but I had to be honest because the way he acted like I was wasting his time was unacceptable.) It was honestly such a vibe kill. I've never been treated so poorly or dismissively at any establishment before. Even then I wished him a beautiful day with a smile because it doesn't really take much to forgive and genuinely BE KIND. Coming to La La Land I thought I just found a cute and friendly coffee shop. I was wrong. There is so much more to this place. Their goal is to make people that walk through the doors feel welcome. They spread kindness and joy to each person, and the goal is each person that leaves the shop spreads more kindness and so on. I will say that one day when I was leaving the shop one of the girls yelled out "I love you" and it got me in the feels. A complete stranger that just served me coffee had an impact on me and brightened my day. Awesome! I am addicted the lavender blossom latte here and its just magical. I want to try more drinks on the menu, but I am stuck on this purple coffee that is kissed by angels. If I have not said enough kind, things about this place just hold on... An SMU drop out created this franchise and they hires teens that are aging out of foster care. La La Land gives the kids an 8 week program to be able to get jobs skills, so hopefully transiting out of foster care into the real world is a little easier on them. The business model, the fosters kids, the lovely coffees (and I never mentioned the strawberry bread --- omg delicious and heavenly), and the kindness this place spreads will definitely keep me a loyal customer. read more

Talk about a coffee shop with a great vibe and message! The "Be Kind" mantra and the baristas who have aprons that say "Kind Army" really makes for a positive environment to work in. I really enjoyed my time here working on a Friday afternoon. Definitely a lot of foot traffic which makes sense given the food and coffee is on point. I ordered the La La Avocado toast and a cold brew. The avocado toast was filling and very good! The burrata is a nice addition to avocado toast which I've never mixed before. The cold brew was solid.
