I ordered a vanilla oat milk latte. While good, I definitely prefer it at a different location in Dallas. I was impressed with the spacious seating and layout of this shop. This location appeared to serve beer on tap and possibly liquor (not 100% confident). The middle of the shop is hammered with the bar which is so Dallas coated and inviting for solo gatherings or socializing. I would definitely be back on my next coffee outings just from the vibe alone. This location offers tables and extensive seating compared to another one north of this location. Came in around 10 on a Friday and was greeted instantly. The cashier and barista were very nice and welcoming. The cashier went through the pastry offerings highlighting some of her favorites which definitely made me want one! The cookie I got was delicious. Sitting at the counter, I was able to reach a power cable over to a power outlet. You'd be surprised how much power is consumed taking pictures of bridges and cemeteries in West Dallas! Made a stop here with a friend to work remotely! I ordered the "Hearts of Texas" - a chocolate strawberry drink. The picture in store, as well as on their Instagram, advertised the drink to have red latte art. Mines just looked like a regular latte heart, which was still pretty to look at. Cup is a bit smaller and price was a tad higher than most other coffee shops I've been to. However, the barista made the drink super fast and he was friendly. It tasted pretty sweet - almost like chocolate milk with a hint of coffee and strawberry. The drink had a nice creaminess to it, although I wished the coffee flavor was slightly more present. Definitely would recommend to people with a sweet tooth While the inside is very ~vibey~ and aesthetic for studying/working, note that there is a lack of outlets. Man, I'm shocked I've never left a review. This is my favorite place in Dallas. I used to be able to walk to it. Now, I go out of my way to stop here. This staff is the best. There are no words for me to tell you what they have done to heal my heart by just being who they are. I love this place! Located in Sylvan 30, next to a food co-op, this is a charming coffee shop. There's a semi-enclosed back patio where you can take your kids or dogs, a few sidewalk tables out front in the courtyard parking area and some seating inside as well. The baristas have been very friendly and chatty on each of my visits here. My kiddo loves the sprinkle donuts that make up the bulk of the limited pastry menu. They specialize in high quality pour-overs here, but I usually get a latte. The girl taking orders was very rude to the person in front of me. The sink behind the counter had a tube that wasn't connected to the bucket below. Sort of free dripping. He said something and she was soooo rude to him. He was a civil engineer and brought it up to help them not get shut down from a health inspector. I've never seen someone working be so rude to someone who was trying to help. My coffee was mediocre, pastries were not good, and she was rude. I won't be back ever. read more

We stopped by Houndstooth Coffee as we wanted to work remotely from a coffee shop. Parking is available just outside the coffee shop, and there is also street parking nearby. There is also seating inside the shop and outside. We went inside the coffee shop, which had the atmosphere of a plant lover's paradise and was incredibly clean. Additionally, there is a lot of seating, so finding a seat won't be a problem. I approached the counter and placed an order for the iced vanilla latte with autumn foam. The addition of the Autumn foam to any beverage changed the game and was incredibly tasty. Best part about this place? The staff. I come here often. At some point I was here at least 5 days a week for my morning coffee. The staff has always been amazing. It's always nice when you get to know people during your morning routine. The coffee is fantastic and they always keep a good amount of yummy pastries waiting to be devoured. I came here to study. They have indoor and outdoor door seating in the front and back. The music is amazing, they have outlets in the seating by the walls and it seemed pretty clean. The staff is very friendly. The menus I. The store don't have prices but they don't mind answering questions, giving recommendations or fixing your drink if it needs a little tweaking. This was a super rude experience. It never happened to me but I guess there is always a first. The lady at the bench was great. We ordered our lattes and we had a nice conversation. Towards the end, she told us the shop would close at 7 (it was 6:50pm). After 4 minutes, at 6:54pm, a guy told us that the shop would close in 6 minutes. He asked if we wanted our lattes to go (in my cup there was still 25% left). We said no. And then, he took our cups away, abruptly. I told him I was still working on my latte. He didn't listen. I told him again raising the volume. He didn't listen again (or pretended...?!?). My wife asked me to leave because she didn't want to have problems, and was nervous. I stood up and went to the bench, I called his attention and I said one more time I was still working on my coffee. He finally handled me the latte and, again, asked if I wanted the latte to go, and I said NO, again. He made a smirky face. I went to the table and kept working/drinking my latte and I left at 6:59pm. Pushing costumers out of your shop before closure is a bad business. I don't know if this guy will understand and chill out next times but I won't be there to know because this was last time I'm going to see this place. read more

They serve their own Tweed coffee for your caffeine needs. If I'm feeling fancy I'll get a cortado or a pour over depending what they have on the rotating menu. Or a simple drip is a nice mainstay. They have big tables for groups or to just lay your books out for studying. Plus there are a number of USB plugs for charging your phone, unfortunately normal outlets aren't as plentiful. There's a plug on the outside patio and I'm not sure about the inside. As a whole, not much to gripe about here other than it isn't close enough to my house lol. read more

It's a open and colorful space with plants and fun chairs and you can feel cozy here solo or with friends. They had a beet colored frozen paloma I need to come back and try when I am not working!! The coffee is pretty strong as well as the espresso. They keep it very simple with the syrups so if you're a true coffee connoisseur you can appreciate this. They also have beautiful and delish pastries if that is in fact your thing! This is such a cute low key area so I plan on being back soon and very soon. read more

My car was broken into in this establishment's parking lot in broad daylight to the tune of about $10000 in stolen property, in addition to personally identifying documents. The staff were very tight-lipped about the incident and avoided helping me in any way, connecting me to the eyewitnesses that reported the incident, or giving me any information, but they did admit that this happens in their parking lot ONCE A MONTH. Despite the fact that their customers suffer devastating losses like mine on their premises ONCE A MONTH, they have not installed security cameras in the parking lot and said that that's not their problem--it's up to the landlord. As a business, this total abdication of responsibility is both unlawful and demonstrates a callous lack of regard for customers. No cup of coffee is worth soliciting this business. read more

Unfortunately, none of the seats around the bar area were free and many of the tables were already taken. Fortunately, one of the tables had only one seat occupied. I ordered a small chocolate latte. The syrup was a very rich dark chocolate which made the beverage quite decadent. The rich syrup caused the drink to cool quicker than I had expected.
