I had a very disappointing experience at La La Land in Brentwood this morning. I placed my order through the app, and the drink clearly indicated that whipped cream was added. When I arrived, I noticed there was no whipped cream on the drink. I politely asked the employee if they were out of whipped cream, and she responded with an attitude, saying "No." I then asked if I could have the whipped cream that was supposed to come with my drink. She immediately rolled her eyes as if I had made an unreasonable request. Instead of simply adding it to the drink, she walked away, grabbed an empty cup, filled it with whipped cream, and handed it to me as though I was expected to scoop it into my drink myself. I explained that I would prefer the whipped cream be added to the drink properly, and at that point she started mumbling under her breath and acting as though I had done something wrong. Not wanting to let the situation ruin the start of my day, I simply said, "It's okay," and walked away. The issue wasn't the missing whipped cream--it was the attitude and lack of basic customer service. Mistakes happen, and I would have completely understood if the order had been missed. What was disappointing was being treated with annoyance and disrespect for asking for something that was already included in my order. Management should spend more time training staff on professionalism, respect, and customer interactions. A little kindness goes a long way, especially over such a simple request. read more

If I was an influencer I'd be here every weekend , taking pictures of their cutie creations and probably drinking 3/4 of the drink till I get to the bottom quarter of unmixed drink. I came into a clean store with a friendly staff. I ordered a coffee straight, matcha , and their banana cloud coldbrew Get the matcha and coldbrew, do not get the coffee. The incredibly friendly person on register did'nt know when the coffee was brewed or what kind it was, but was really passionate about the other drinks he recommended. I'm staying with a friend in the area and wanted to check out this cute café. I stopped by on a Wednesday morning and was surprised by how busy it was. There was a long line when I arrived, and it stayed crowded the entire time. I brought my laptop hoping to get some work done, but seating was extremely limited. I ordered the Vanilla Einspanner with espresso and oat milk, and it was delicious. It had a rich coffee flavor and wasn't nearly as sweet as I expected, which I appreciated. I also tried the spinach feta wrap, but that was disappointing. It was small, hard, and didn't seem to have much filling. The cashier who took my order was friendly and welcoming. After ordering, I sat on a bench to wait for my food and drink. About 15 minutes later, I went up to check on my order and found that it had been sitting on the pickup counter the whole time. I wish they had called my name more than once--or at least made a better effort to get my attention. Unfortunately, because of the lack of seating and the crowded atmosphere, I wasn't able to stay and work as planned. I finished my drink and headed out. Finally tried this place! It was bright and airy with all of the windows open. I came around 1pm on a Friday and the line was only a few people but it was very crowded inside and outside. Also pretty loud inside with all the people chatting so I wouldn't plan to work from here. The cashier was friendly and welcoming and I tried the French toast latte iced and salted with almond milk. I got a small and to be honest it was good but I couldn't really taste any French toast flavor. I also got the turkey and cheese egg bites and those were super tasty. East Coaster here trying La La Land Cafe for the first time! Thoughts? Their banana cloud coffee is amazing. I've never had anything like it and I'm still dreaming about it. I also tried a gluten-free muffin. The flavor was good, but the texture was a bit too mushy for me, so I'll skip it next time. Finally, I had a passion fruit refresher... really good! It is always very busy when I come here and they are not as efficient as the Montana location. There is also less space inside so there are a lot of people waiting in a small area. I recently ordered the psg latte (that comes with a mini croissant) and there was no croissant on it so not sure what I paid for exactly as that was the selling point of that drink. Another time, I waited over 20 mins for my drink and when they called my name someone else grabbed it and walked away. I told the barista and after explaining to them multiple times what happened they reluctantly remade my drink. At that point I was waiting for over 30 mins. This place is more of a scene than a coffee shop! Love all of the patio seating they have. It was buzzing! I ordered my drink ahead of time online and I think that's where I went wrong. I had a hard time with customizing my drink, not sure if it was the doordash app bugging out or the inability to edit your order once you started but I wasn't able to adjust the sweetness of my drink like I wanted to. I got whatever the lululemon chai collab was - Which I think is just a chai latte? I added two shots of espresso and asked it be made with almond milk. I tried to edit the chai sauce quantity to two, but I was only able to make it one. My drink as a whole was just so milky. Even with two shots added, it just tasted to watered down. My husband mentioned that his cold brew also tasted watered down. On a Saturday afternoon, after eating bagels down the street, our friends brought us to La La Land to get drinks. There was a bit of a wait to order and get our drinks, which was to be expected, so it wasn't too bad. The store was generally clean. The shop was steadily busy, but you could get seating if you wanted (and were willing to wait). We were most impressed with the service and the kindness of the workers! It's a nice spot on the corner. It wasn't too loud for cars continuously zooming by. The young gal who took the orders was kind, helpful, and patient. Acceptable wait for drinks given the large line but they did forget the order for the customer ahead of us who was waiting about 15 minutes while everyone else got theirs. Not a place for real coffee lovers so probably get the matcha drink. This is one of the cutest cafe I ever visited. Yellow decor and yellow coffee cup made me so happy right when I walk in. Of course, I have to order my favorite Oatmilk Cappuccino and that did not disappoint. I also ordered Chocolate and Almond croissants as they look delicious on the display. Today was the soft opening of the super cute and over-the-top friendly Brentwood outpost of La La Land. They were already super-efficient in dealing with a bunch of customers wandering in during a rainy day. We ordered two coffees (cap & a latte) plus an almond croissant. The coffees were well made and the croissant loaded with marzipan- sweet and delicious. My only quibble is the plastic: from the plastic lids and the specialty iced drink that come in plastic cups plus the thermal printed stickers. I know that's how portable drinks work, but my guilt over plastic just won't allow me to make a regular habit of it. They gave our pup a whipped cream puppuccino and he was delighted. We'll never be able to walk by again without him sniffing for snacks! Such a cute space, with friendly staff, fun drinks and great outdoor patio will surely make this spot a hit. read more

I have visited your Montana location before. I work in Brentwood and have to be at work early, so I decided to walk over and grab a drink before my day started. Their opening time is 6:30 a.m., and I arrived at approximately 6:28 a.m. The pickup windows were open, and several employees were standing behind the counter. I politely asked if I could order a drink, and one employee responded, "We open in two minutes." I replied, "So you're going to make me stand here for two minutes?" and she simply said, "Sorry about that." I completely understand that businesses have opening times and procedures. My concern isn't that you weren't officially open yet--it's how the interaction was handled. A warmer response such as, "Good morning! We'll be happy to take your order in just a couple of minutes," or "We'll be right with you as soon as we open," would have made a big difference. Instead, I was left standing there feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. First impressions matter, especially for customers stopping in on their way to work. Unfortunately, this experience has discouraged me from walking to this location again. I'll continue going to my regular Starbucks across the street, where I've consistently felt welcomed. read more

The space is bright clean and welcoming and it has that calm uplifting energy that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy your food instead of rushing through it. The ambience alone puts you in a better mood. The food was genuinely excellent. Everything tasted fresh thoughtfully made and balanced. You can tell quality ingredients are being used and that care goes into the preparation. Nothing felt heavy or overly processed and it was the kind of meal that made me feel nourished instead of sluggish. Portions were just right and presentation was beautiful without feeling forced. The service was also fantastic. Everyone was friendly warm and attentive without being overbearing. It felt very genuine like they actually enjoy being there and want customers to have a great experience. Orders came out quickly and everything was exactly as expected. Overall this is one of those places you leave already planning your next visit. Great food great service and a really lovely atmosphere. Dear La La Land Kind Cafe Team, I've been a loyal customer at your Brentwood location, with well over 20 orders to date, so I don't write this lightly. Today's experience genuinely disappointed me. I picked up my mobile order and, as I always have, reached for a straw and a cup sleeve. One of your team members stopped me with, "You're not supposed to grab it." No explanation, no warmth, just a flat correction that left me standing there stunned. Two things bother me. I have never once been told that customers can't take a straw or a sleeve, so if this is a rule, it was never communicated. And if it is a new policy, there's a kind way to mention it - this wasn't it. I keep coming back to one thing: your entire brand is built on "be kind." It's on your cups, your walls, your mission. So to be spoken to that abruptly, over a straw, at a cafe that markets itself on kindness, is hard to square. This simply wasn't the experience your brand promises. I'd like to know whether this is actually your policy, and I'd hope your team takes a closer look at how that message gets delivered. I love La La Land coffee shops, but this small store in Brentwood exceeds them all. The staff is super friendly and helpful, I always get a big loud "Welcome in" whenever I walk through the door. Since I frequent this location often, the staff has made a point to remember my name and now know what my drink preferences are. Not to mention, there is lots of indoor and outdoor seating and the location of the store is in the heart of Brentwood, a perfect place to hang out, take a break from the day, or get some work done on the computer. Very trendy-looking spot with a nice array of "Instagrammable" drink options. I thought I'd try something different so I ordered the cookie butter iced coffee drink, and I thought it was on the bitter/burnt side of the espresso taste spectrum. Not really sweet at all. Which, I personally liked, but wasn't what I expected. The straw was shaped like an extruded heart, which I loved cuz it felt so unique. Hahahaha. They had like 10 baristas working and a steady stream of people coming in and ordering drinks and food. I want to say it took 10-15 mins from when I ordered to actually get my drink, and that was with 4 parties waiting in front of me. I expected it'd be faster with the number of staff that was working, but maybe it's just growing pains as everyone's getting up to speed with how the drinks are made. While I waited, some sort of influencer person walked in and skipped the line to talk to the barista handing out the drinks, then was given a swag bag of some sort and allowed to skip the line of people to put her drink order in. Very LA. Not really something I liked seeing when they had a bunch of people waiting to order. Not exactly the place's fault though. Also, expect to spend $7-$10 for a specialty drink. I guess that's standard for the area. There's also a starbucks next door where the drinks are much less interesting but for comparable prices. I like supporting their cause, I like the patio, I like the food, and the coffee is good enough... I'd rather go here than Malou or Starbucks. I arrived and asked about my order--I had already been waiting 45 minutes--and the young woman told me it wasn't ready with a rude attitude. Later, when she finally handed it over, she practically threw the bag at me with that same rude demeanor. What kind of service is that? They have way too many people working at this place, yet when you arrive and ask about your order, it's never ready, and then they just ignore you.
