I've been coming to Comoncy every week and it's one of my favorite places because everything on the menu is made so well! The salads are always fresh, the sandwiches are incredible, and the coffee is consistently amazing. What keeps me coming back is the outstanding service. Nelson, Luis, and Porfirio are genuinely some of the kindest, friendliest, and hardest-working people I've met. No matter how busy it gets they always greet everyone with a smile, work incredibly fast, and make every customer feel welcomed. They remember regulars, create such a positive atmosphere, and somehow make my day every single time I stop by. Employees like Nelson, Luis, and Porfirio are rare and they're the reason customers become loyal regulars. If anyone has earned a raise or special recognition, it's these three. Despite the fact that its very close to loud Westwood and Wilshire Boulevards, the outdoor tables are quiet. Its such a relaxing environment. The staff were hospitable and professional. They answered all of our many questions. It was not easy to decide what to eat. The chicken panini was very tasty. My friend was unable to finish the Egg-cellent sandwich. Found this place super close to ucla! Comoncy is a small breakfast cafe with variety items on the menu. Even though it's small, it could get very busy during lunch. I was there almost noon on a Tuesday. They are very popular among students and staffs from the university, one after another, given enough work for the staffs to be busy since there were only two of them: one cashier who makes drinks, and one chef who was running around the whole time (high praise to the chef). Food and drink: I think the matcha was alright. Nothing stood out to me. However the food was amazing. I ordered one egg cellent sandwich and one breakfast burrito. They freshly cook both right there. The egg yolk was perfect as described to be runny for the sandwich. The burrito surprised me with blue cheese. The food at this place is incredible! I forgot to take a picture of my scrambled egg sandwich I got, but it was so delicious (one of the best I had in a while!). The sandwich I got had scrambled eggs, bacon, and arugula over toasted whole wheat bread and it was delicious! I would 100% come again to eat that sandwich and try out their food. I also got a Matcha Latte which wasn't too strong, but for the price ($5.25?) isn't too bad considering how expensive matcha is these days. The service was incredible. It's tucked away, hidden behind the office building on the SW corner of Westwood and Wilshire (the entrance is off Westwood Blvd). I regret not coming here more often when my office was across the street. Comoncy catered all of our lunch meetings, but now that we've gone remote, we no longer use their catering services as often. I make a point to come at least once a week now. I like their salads and sandwiches, but my favorite item is their coconut raspberry muffin. Their muffin and latte will brighten my mood for the whole day. Service has always been quick and friendly. Note that they close at 3pm on weekdays and are closed on the weekends. Tip: The parking lot entrance is on Ashton Ave, just south of Wilshire Blvd. Parking is free for 90 minutes with validation. read more

I've been here a five or six times, usually for coffee and occasionally for breakfast. They are always a solid option. Cute outdoor patio, small indoor seating. No parking as far as I could tell. Service is okay, the cashier was nice enough. Food comes out slow so make sure to order ahead if you're in a hurry, or be okay waiting. I was not in a hurry so I didn't mind. I've always enjoyed the breakfast burritos but this recent time they did not have the salsa to go with it, so it was bland. We asked the cashier for salsa and he said "there isn't any, just hot sauce" as if it's something they don't sell, when it is, in fact, listed on the menu with the breakfast burrito. Not the end of the world, but tastes better with salsa. TLDR: it's a decent spot, convenient if you're in the Westwood area. Food: Thai salad and chicken sub. Super light and tasty for both items. Service: friendly staff and answered all my questions with patience and understanding. Ambiance: ok so the parking is horrible. I'm sure people who live here are used to the parking meters and expensive parking garage fees but not us. It's eye opening and a bit daunting. $3.50 for 15mins is extreme so we found metered parking. Much cheaper bcz we like to walk our food off. The eatery is behind the bank (fyi). Comoncy is a cute little cafe that serves typical cafe food: breakfast carbs, salads and sandwiches. I was surprised to find that their espresso was DELICIOUS. It was bitter, rich, and chocolatey - just this wonderful, smooth, velvety texture. Their pastries are good, I could taste the butter in my croissant. Their arugula salad is amazing, add avocado! I'm on the hunt for LA's best breakfast burrito and this is a COMPETITOR. The thick cut bacon pairs so well with the gooey potatoes, and the cheese strings out with each bite. I had comoncy in Beverly Hills and the service and food was great but this location -- which I had doordashed and it was not good at all. I got the grilled chicken panini and requested gluten free bread but it felt like they gave me half gluten free and half not... as you can see in the picture. Also it says it comes with avocado -- which it didn't come with avocado at all. The sandwich was so oily and it didn't feel satisfying, there was cheap chicken breast inside and little tomato. So I think the service was poor in general and food was mediocre. I'm giving this location a lower star rating than it deserves because of bad customer service from one of their staff members. She's not friendly and clearly does not know the menu at all. I ordered the avocado toast and per the menu it included eggs. After getting my order, I realized it didn't have eggs. So when I brought this to her attention, she told me that I neglected to mention eggs with my order. I told her that the menu states that its included. Instead of apologizing, she continued to blame me and told me that it's an extra charge and that I have to ask for eggs every time I order avocado toast. I'm even looking at their menu on yelp right now and it clearly states this order includes eggs. I'm also looking at a printed menu and it also states that it includes eggs. Now, if the menu has changed and eggs are now an extra charge, please update your menu all around to avoid any confusion (especially for those who go to the Westwood location regularly).
