This place is so good and unique but the line is absolutely crazy. Highly recommend ordering ahead of time. Their banana crème latte was delicious and I recommend ordering since it's not at every cafe!
First thing to know, you will be waiting for a hot minute. I absolutely think it's worth the wait and I'd wait everyday if I lived in Nashville. The coffee is delicious. I got the upside down latte and it's delicious. Perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The avocado toast is ok, I personally didn't care for how cold it was. I'm used to it being a bit more warm and toasted. I tried the white truffle burrata one. I also shared the chocolate croissant with my mom, it was good. Very flaky. My friend got the vanilla latte and liked it. And my mom got the French toast and it was also amazing! It is a louder environment and not too many tables inside.
During my visit to Nashville I kept seeing so many people walking around with these bright yellow cups, so I finally decided to find out what the fuss was! My daughter and I went in the morning and found it to be pretty crowded, but we did find an outdoor table. The space is very cute, full of bright color, cute merch, friendly employees, and for the crowd, it was fairly fast. We ordered Iced Banana Cloud Lattes and Queen Bee avocado toast. The toast came out slowly, to the point I thought they'd forgotten it. Not sure what happened but just as I was about to ask, it was ready. The lattes were so good! The banana flavor was spot on, and it was so refreshing! Avocado toast.... So good I re-create it at home all the time! As a final cute touch, the employees say "I love you" every time a customer walks out. It's just a place full of good vibes and delicious treats! Don't miss it!
There was a long line and so we had to stand on it to see what it was about... This place was like a well oiled machine, the line went quicker than expected, the ordering was easy, the person was helpful in suggestions, the assembly line was amazing. Everyone had their job and although the place was crowded and the place was not air conditioned enough, we were not unhappy waiting as we were with friends and spent the time chatting. I ordered the matcha squared latte and hubby ordered the strawberry cloud latte with matcha. The packaging was eye catching. This place definitely does a great job in marketing. They also give out bright yellow tote bags. The yellow cups, totes and packages was definitely a reason that we stepped on that line. We wanted to know what all the excitement was about. Apparently this is a chain and Nashville was the first east coast location. Also their message is nice. "Yellow means warmth. Yellow means kindness. Yellow means showing up with joy, even when the world feels heavy." Now the drink itself was a little watery. Given it has to be iced, I thought it should have a more intense flavoring. I drank it because I had it. I would give this place 2 stars for the drink but I gave it 3 to average the 4 stars for their fantastic marketing and message. Mind you I think hubby enjoyed his drink more so maybe I am being too harsh.

Now, the food. The egg bites were very good, they didn't taste like artificial eggs and it had a chipotle sauce to go with it. And the jalapeño and cheddar biscuit was chefs kiss! Think red lobster cheddar bay with jalapeños! Then I got the strawberry cloud matcha latte! It was delicious!!
This café perfectly fits the vibe of the 12 south neighborhood. It reminds me of California, between the chandelier decorations and the yellow cups. There is often a line on the weekends, so I come during the week and order ahead. I wish they are seasonal lattes featured, fewer flavored films and more flavored syrup. I don't especially love cold foam, and sometimes it seems like that's the only way to taste one of the seasonal flavors. The last time I was here, I did order at the counter and was charged for cookie crumbles, and my drink ended up costing more than the seasonal drink would have, so I'd just be mindful that sometimes it makes more sense to order the seasonal drink, even if you don't want everything on it!

10/10 im obsessed with La La Land. I went early in the morning and had no line, the baristas were the sweetest and our drinks were quick and delicious. We tried the Tiramisu Cold Latte and the Banana Cloud Latte, and both were excellent. The flavors were rich, well balanced, and definitely on the sweeter side, which we really enjoyed. The drinks were the highlight of the visit, and the overall atmosphere made the experience even better. Overall, a fun coffee spot with great specialty drinks and a unique aesthetic. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Nashville and looking to try something different!
We live nearby La la land and have seen the absolutely crazy lines of people outside at all times. I was convinced it couldn't be that good, right? Well today we took the plunge and we waited for 25-30 minutes early in the morning. Space is tight inside so plan on sitting outside or taking it to-go. The latte I had was one of the most memorable/best I've had. The foam they put on top of their iced drinks is delicious and a nice twist on your regular latte's you can get anywhere else. The wait is a downside and a reason I'm giving it one less star, but if you have the time you'd be hard pressed to fine a more memorable latte/coffee.
I knew this place was trendy and therefore very very busy, yet I came anyway. The line inside wrapped around the store. When we left, the line had extended outside around the store. Come early. I got the banana cloud latte because of course and hubby had french toast latte. Both were very good. I'm glad it tasted good so the wait was worth it, but jeez.....I never understand why people flock so hard to a place like this. So many twenty something girls in their yoga pants and sweatshirts. The employees were all very nice and efficient so I applaud them for keeping sane with the insane people. I'd come back knowing now I could order ahead online.

I usually stick to hot coffee, but I decided to try the iced latte at La La Land, and I'm so glad I did! It was smooth, flavorful, and honestly one of the best iced lattes I've had. I finished it wishing they offered an even bigger size because I wanted more. One of the best parts is how easy it is to order through the app and pick up your drink. The shop gets pretty busy, so mobile ordering saves time and makes the whole experience quick and convenient. Great coffee, friendly service, and an easy pickup process--I'll definitely be back! read more

If you don't want to wait in line forever, you gotta get there early! I will say the iced latte that I had was pretty damn good and I love the aesthetic of the place. I wish they hadn't sold out of their merch before I got there because I would have definitely left with something! read more
Saw this place on tik tok and had to try it. We took everyone's advice and ordered it online in advance because the line was out the door and wrapped around the corner when we came here at 1pm. We got one normal coffee and one coffee with everything added with coconut milk. Surprisingly the plain coffee tasted so much better. They put so much caramel in it it was delicious. The coconut milk in the other drink was not very sweet like it normally is and made the drink taste weird. We also got the spinach and feta wrap and jalapeno cheddar biscuit. The wrap was very thin and had very little inside of it but was tasty. The biscuit was pretty average but was still good and had a little kick to it. Overall the aesthetic of this place made it worth it. Im not sure i would wait in as long of a line as some people for this coffee. Now we know what to get we would probably stick to coffee without as many adds and not get food. All was pretty affordable though we spent $30 for all of this. read more

Decor is very nice. The menu has a big variety of items between cold, hot and food items. Since I couldn't make up my mind on what to drink I tried both a cold and hot beverages. Very best vanilla latte & the strawberry refresher. I also tried the chicken and cheese sandwich. Everything was delicious and didn't wait much for the order. Arabella was very nice and friendly. TikTok made me do it! I was influenced to finally try the banana cloud latte at La La Land. It was busy when I arrived but the line moved quickly. I asked for just one pump of banana which was perfect for me as i like banana but don't love it! The place is really cute, clean and the staff were very friendly. Seating is limited inside but on a nice, warm day there's extra seating outside. This place is hands down one of my favorite spots for coffee and matcha. They have an amazing variety of drinks--from perfectly crafted coffee to some of the best matcha lattes--and a great selection of pastries to go with it. Everything on the menu feels thoughtfully done, and there's truly something for everyone. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit even better. The space itself is super clean with a bright, feel-good environment that instantly puts you in a good mood. Marketing and flavor are on point. We were shopping and kept seeing people with these yellow cups. Decided we had to find out what they were and go get one. The line is out the door, but we ordered for pick up on their website. The cloud lattes with the marshmallow foam are what my dreams are made of, because I'm obsessed with s'mores. Wish I'd tried their matcha because I heard it's the best. Ambiance was super cute and fun. Definitely worth the wait to get your iconic yellow cup! read more

La La Land was buzzing with activity and conversation when I stopped by on Veterans Day around 10 AM. The bright yellow interior and the cheerful attitude of the service employees made it feel like a hub-bub of activity. I was told by multiple friends that La La Land has the best matcha around, and I'm happy to report that they were correct. I was so pleased after ordering my matcha latte that it was bright green when it arrived. I couldn't decide between coffee or matcha, so I decided to order both. Why not?! The pumpkin cloud cold brew was smooth with a sweet pumpkin cold foam. I love a good pumpkin cold foam, so I was content. This was my favorite drink. The banana cloud matcha latte was delightful as well, but it was a little bit sweeter than I'd prefer. Next time I'll try their Keith latte that has double matcha shots in it. The line wrapped around the store when I arrived, but the wait was worth it. If you're looking for good matcha or coffee in Nashville and don't mind fighting for a parking spot on 12 South, check them out. Just make sure you allot enough time for a decent 20-30 minute wait. 3.5 stars! read more

The location and inside of the cafe is cute. The workers were also friendly. I was quite excited to try the cafe considering how packed it always is. However, I was quite disappointed with the food-- the truffle burrata toast was almost inedible with how hard the actual bread was + the far too overpowering truffle oil :/ The latte was fine-- visually appealing but not notable. I'm unsure why this cafe particularly gets high traffic when there are others in the area with much better food + drinks to enjoy (and for a slightly more reasonable price) read more

Great coffee shop for a once in awhile treat but would not make it my daily coffee shop. Currently with all the hype La La Land is getting lines are long and wait times leave something to be desired. I do note this will die down as they get settled in Nashville. The prices are high with a large strawberry lemonade refresher and a large oat milk latte with two extra shots costing upwards of $18 dollars. I will say the staff was amazing and very quick and thoughtful despite the long lines and high crowd volume. read more

This was my first time having La La Land! The wait is quite long, so highly recommend ordering online & shopping around while the drinks are prepared! The staff is moving as fast as they can so can't be mad at them for the long lines & wait. Come here on a weekend if you're patient. Drinks themselves were so yummy! Our group got the banana cloud and strawberry cloud -- and i LOVED the taste of the cream top! It didn't taste artificial at all & the sweetness was perfect :) Wish I lived closer! read more

I was here on a saturday afternoon and the line almost out the door. My group decided to do 1 online order seeing that we'd have our order in about 15 mins, it took about 25 mins in reality for the drinks to come out. Baristas were moving quick and still very friendly :) However, the drinks were incredible!!! 100% worth the wait. I ordered the banana cream matcha and ugh it was fresh, rich and so yummy. The banana did not taste artificial at all and mixed with the matcha perfectly. The store has some seating inside and my group of 6 were able to find seats pretty quickly, but 12 South is lovely and I'd recommend strolling around drink in hand! Also the packaging is so cute, the sleeve, cups, even the heart shapes straws :) read more

Long line and expect a wait but I like the vibes here. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing, definitely IG pic worthy. The workers are friendly. I like the location of this place. I'm not from Nashville so it was nice to get a pick me up while exploring the area. I ordered the pumpkin pie cloud foam latte with matcha. It was good but not my favorite, I probably would have loved the pumpkin pie flavor as an espresso or cold brew, instead of a matcha (was really debating between the two) but excited to try next time. I also ordered a jalapeño cheddar biscuit - soo good! This would have been so good as a breakfast sandwich. All of their baked goods look delicious and fresh. read more

La la Land located on 12th Ave is a super aesthetic cafe, which is always busy. I had gone in to pick up my coffee on a Monday morning, while I was visiting Nashville. It was a fairly long wait - but the lattes were totally worth it. I really enjoyed the banana cloud latte - the taste of the banana was prominent but did not taste artificial at all. I had also gotten their La La Land Lattes, which my family really enjoyed. Thumbs up! read more

Typically, I wait for the buzz to die down before visiting popular cafes and restaurants, but for La La Land, I decided to skip the wait. Vibe- I love the location of the cafe. At 12th South, you have multiple dining and parking options. La La Land Kind Cafe is a visually stunning place with a yellow and white color scheme. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the cafe is pet-friendly. Crowd - I'm always excited to explore new cafes, but personally, waiting in line (sometimes up to 45 minutes) even for a good one, isn't for me. So I decided to arrive at 7 am, and trust me, it was an unusual sight- there were barely any people. Sips - I got a Lavender Bloom Matcha and a Strawberry Field coffee. I can drink matcha, but it isn't something I feel strongly about. At La La Land, they source " The highest grade of Matcha that is also used for traditional Japanese tea ceremonies", hence the name - Ceremonial Matcha. Moreover, I love lavender, so I had to give this a try. It did not disappoint me; the matcha wasn't bitter, it was refreshing, and the lavender added floral notes that only complemented it. Unlike most lavender Matcha lattes that I have had earlier, this one wasn't overly sweet at all! The Strawberry Field Coffee was an out-of-the-box choice for me, but I decided to trust La La Land, here. The coffee was good in terms of the flavor and proportion. The fruit was quite prominent in the drink, but contrary to my expectations, it tasted good together. I'd say it was dessert-like, although not excessively sweet or artificially flavored. They also had fresh-baked croissants and biscuits, but those were decent, nothing unique or memorable. Was it worth the wait? Well, I understand why this place is so popular; their menu and quality of ingredients set them apart. The beverages are genuinely good. While one could argue that they are priced a little higher, I feel it is justified because they use premium ingredients, which come with a cost. Again, I wouldn't wait in line, and if you don't wish to, then you can either visit the cafe before 7:30 - 8 am or perhaps order online (early) and schedule a pick-up time. Soooo, did it live up to the hype? I guess, yes! read more

10/10!! This place was worth the hype and the hour wait. Banana cloud latte is amazing, such good flavor and perfect amount of sweetness and coffee flavor. We liked the hot french toast latte, very unique. I actually really the chia seed banana pudding. I would return here on every option. My friends liked the chocolate croissant, calling it "fresh." Overall: Wow! I will say - the hype is worth it! Coming from Cali, I was a little wary because I feel like the LA location was "just okay" in terms of taste. However, this location far exceeded my expectations! I actually ended up going twice, I got the banana cloud latte (matcha) and then the strawberry matcha. Delicious and such a great matcha! I also got the avocado toast with egg, which was really good as well but definitely on the pricey side (kinda used to this as someone from LA). Service: The staff is very nice, cheerful, and the drinks/food came out very quickly! Ambiance: It is extremely aesthetic on the inside, and picture-worthy for sure! La La Land Kind Café just opened its doors in Nashville for their soft launch, and you can already feel the buzz. This Dallas-based café isn't just about great drinks -- their mission is to spread kindness and create change by hiring and training foster youth. You can feel the good energy as soon as you step in. Yes, the line was long, but it moved surprisingly fast thanks to the super friendly and efficient staff. Everyone was so upbeat and welcoming, you can tell they're really living out the café's mission to "spread the love." Now the drinks: As for drinks: 7/10: Strawberry Fields matcha-- subtly sweet with a fresh strawberry note that paired beautifully with the earthy matcha. 9/10: The Banana Cloud Chai-- uniquely creamy, spiced, and just sweet enough without being overpowering. Treats: Cookie- warmed up it was delicious and had a homemade taste, lots of chocolate chips and a generous size. The vibe is playful, colorful, and full of positive energy. That said, this is more of a sweet treat stop for me -- the drinks lean on the indulgent side, so it's not necessarily an everyday coffee shop, but definitely a fun, feel-good spot for when you're craving something different. read more
