Momo is not only doing amazing floral design but she's also such a kind person. It was truly an honor to work with her for our small wedding. As a bride to be I expected to be treated different(she was very cold and seemed like if I was bothering her). I think the expectation was high since the first florist I met was just AMAZING! Anyway if you are looking for someone that will guide you and give you input and offer help go somewhere else. I didn't get a quote until a week later and to top it off was 1000.00 more than the quote I originally got from another florist ( who by the way provided a quote on the spot) So if you want to wait a week for an overpriced quote with flowers you didn't even discuss during your meeting make an appointment . I should start charging my guy friends for recommending this place -- it's a winner. From tall, lavish vases filled with hundreds of orchids, to low, packed-full, seasonal arrangements with hydrangea, tulips, fruit, and peonies. They require little-to-no direction -- I usually ask for a low (round or square) vase lined with banana leaf and then packed with whatever they have in that day that's interesting. I've ordered flowers from many local florists and the traditional FTD/Teleflora outfits. I'm rarely pleased with anything anyone creates except La Lavande. My only problem is I can never find other florists for deliveries I need out of state. La Lavande creates the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. And when they come into our offices- everyone remarks and asks who prepared the arrangements. The are stellar in their attention to detail and I am always super satisfied. The price might be more than you expect but I only send flowers to people I feel are worth it. If I cared less I would use FTD ,ProFlowers, or some other national ugly flower business. The people in my life deserve the best and I vow to only use La Lavande for my local needs going forward. read more

I used La Lavande for my wedding recently. Nasrin and I met to go over pictures from her various events to determine what I wanted. I had already done some homework looking at various photos online and identified the colors, style, and type of flowers I wanted to have. Nasrin was good about listing out what flowers she would use for each arrangement or bouquet in the proposal. The one challenge we had to work through was what stands to use at the ceremony. She initially proposed some wrought iron and glass stands. I was concerned that they were not appropriate for the venue do to style and wind. Even though I had shown her photos of the place, I don't think she really had a good sense of what I wanted until she visited the location herself. After that, she went back and searched for something more appropriate. I appreciated that she doubled check with me that the new urns would be to my liking. On the wedding day, I was totally thrilled with my bouquet. It was even better than I had imagined. Everyone loved the huge urn arrangements which added the perfect amount of color to our outdoor wedding. The urns looked great at the reception as well. Many of the flowers lasted for more than a week. I loved that I could enjoy everything for awhile after the wedding was over. The only downside is that her shop can get quite busy. During the summer it could take awhile to to receive a reply to questions sometimes. Otherwise, the people at La Lavande do a fantastic job. If I ever need professional flowers in the future, I'll be back. read more

Nasrin made the most beautiful bridal bouquet for me than I ever could have imagined (cascading flowers in a beautiful yellow and white color combination), and made amazing table decorations, organized rosepetal bags for guests to toss after the ceremony, and even had an extremely fun and creative idea for the bride bouquet toss arrangement (I'll let you figure that one out on your own when you work with her). Nasrin also is very reasonable with prices and doesn't try to push pricier options. She even assembled several orchids to put in my hair....for $10! If I could give them more than 5 stars I absolutely would. The service was absolutley stellar and the floral arrangement was the most stunning I have ever seen. I called in the morning on the off chance that I could order a flower arrangement for a friend who had just had a baby girl. The woman who helped me said they had a few events they were working on for the afternoon but they would be happy to create an arrangement for my friend, even though it was the very last minute. When I picked up the flowers, I was astounded by their sheer beauty and gorgeous arrangement. The ladies were so incredibly nice and I was just blown away by everything. My friend let me know 5 days later that the arrangement just got more and more beautiful as the week went on, with the flowers smelling even better and opening up beautifully. What was delivered was more small and modest than I expected for the price. Sending flowers can be a blind item. You pay, but you don't necessarily get to see it. I ordered a $120 arrangement from La Lavande yesterday, which were delivered today. I was terribly disappointed. It was small and the flowers weren't fresh. It was about what I'd expect from a $40 arrangement (though even then I expect fresh flowers). If I had come into a store to buy flowers and told the arrangement was $120, I would have laughed and gone elsewhere. It's hard not to conclude that I was taken advantage of because i purchased without seeing the product. I had a general idea of what I wanted but, when it came to specifics (e.g. what types of fowers to use), I put my trust in her and encouraged her to do what she thought was best. Leveraging a sample of our wedding invitation and swatches of our table linens, she designed absolutely amazing bouquets & centerpieces for us. There were flowers in the arrangements I had never seen before and accent colors I never would have dreamt of including that made all the difference in the flowers. It's been LONG overdue that I've come across an excellent florist who really has compassion about my needs and really LOVES the artistry of flowers that she creates! I needed a last minute sympathy arrangement sent to a dear friend for the loss of her father. I filled out her "online request form" and within 30 minutes, I had a response! Again, I emailed Nasrin for another arrangement I wanted delivered asap here on the peninsula. She responded extremely fast, very professional and even was so kind as to follow up with me each time to confirm the flowers HAD been delivered and emailed me a photograph of the arrangement that was created especially for my loved ones. I will only use Nasrin of La Lavande Flowers for all future arrangements and NEVER EVER go anywhere else!
