Not too long into our journey as first time parents did we realize we were not enjoying a single second with our newborn, and instead we were pacing the house for endless hours with a screaming/crying baby. I knew something had to be done because my husband and I were at the brink of insanity (not sleeping for two weeks will do that to you). After much research, I found Desiree, and I have never looked back. I have told Desiree countless times she is worth her weight in cool. Prior to hiring Desiree, we had a baby that would not sleep in her bassinet, would only nap if someone was holding her, and wouldn't really eat. I quite literally coined our baby as the "gassiest, most fussy baby," and I remember Desiree telling me, "No you don't, don't worry I got you." She explained her training program and how things would be done and we fully trusted her and her expertise. Within a few days, we already noticed a difference. Our baby was now napping in her bassinet, was eating, smiling, and RARELY crying. Fast forward a few weeks, our baby is fully sleeping through the night, from 7 pm to 7 am. My husband and I can actually have time together to have dinner and watch a show after she goes down, and it has been the best thing for our marriage. At every corner we turned, Desiree was there. Any time I needed her or expressed any sort of concern, she was there to talk me through it and guide us on what worked best for our baby. She is an absolutely incredible human being and we already know we will use her for our next baby. She makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk into her office. My own personal experience started when Jacqueline was able to identify a tongue, lip and buccal ties on my 2 week old son. She provided me with a plan, exercises, pain protocols and multiple doctor recommendations to give me everything I needed to support my son. For a sleep deprived mama, it was so helpful! She gave me a detailed write up of our visit which was easy to follow. Because of Jacqueline's attention to detail, I was able to incorporate bodywork prior to the revision, feel confident following a homeopathic healing and pain protocol and confidently execute all the exercises and stretches following the revision. She was always available to ease my mind following the procedure as well. I believe the success of revisions rests heavily on the parents shoulders. You have to do it all. You need the right team of 3- a great IBCLC, a knowledgeable chiropractor to do bodywork and someone to do the revision itself. We purchased amazing car seats for our twins but we couldn't seem to get them to remain properly secured. We have two other kids and have installed infant, convertible, and booster seats. However, these were not working for us. We called the store we purchased the car seats from and they highly recommend Brent as a certified car seat installer. 50-70% of car seats aren't installed properly. You can't put a price tag on your children's safety. It was a very reasonable price. He did an assessment of our van, told us the best configuration for the infant seats along with our son's booster seat, and walked us step-by-step through the installation. Well worth it!

This review is a long time coming…read more I meant to write this shortly after our son was born, however, I was caught up in the early fog of sleepless motherhood and the words I wrote early on never seemed to showcase how I really felt about our experience with Ashley and LoveBug Doula. When I wrote this review I wanted to convey just how much Ashley Wain meant to my husband and I and the success of the birth of our son. I met Ashley at an event when I was about six months pregnant and I had read about doulas online previous to meeting her. As a natural lifestyle advocate, the idea definitely intrigued me even though I'd planned a hospital birth due to placenta complications. Going into my pregnancy I knew I wanted it to be as intervention free and medication free as possible I just didn't know how I was going to get there - as I am someone who is anxiety prone and who feels has a low pain tolerance. I put my faith in God that He would get me there to achieve my birthing goals and it was an exceptional blessing that he led my husband and I to meeting Ashley. When I first met her she made me feel so comfortable and I felt like I had known her for years. I knew that if we went the route of hiring a Doula it would have to be her. Her spots were filling up quickly so I had my husband come in and speak with her right away, and again, everything in me was telling me that I needed to hire her and so I went home that night and my husband and I actually talked about it at length for a few days. We ended up deciding to make her a part of our birthing team and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't believe that that was the best decision I made for our birth. The care that she gave to us, the way that she spoke life into me for 29 hours during a painful an all natural birth, the patience and strength within her and the way she supported not only me and my son, but my husband and my hospital team, solidified over and over again, hour after hour, that she was meant to be there. If you are considering a Doula but are skeptical or have reservations know that we did too. It was a leap of faith that we took and I believe with everything in me that I would not have had the birth experience that I had and I would not have been able to labor as long as I did naturally had it not been for Ashley's professional coaching, friendly disposition and overall knowledge of the birth process. I cannot say enough good things about this amazing woman and the talents that she has. If I am so blessed to have anymore babies I will do everything in my power to be able to have Ashley on my team again.

We hired Ashley for the birth of my second child, when I was attempting an unmedicated VBAC after a horrendous experience with my first birth. I knew I wanted labor support for this birth, but honestly hiring a doula was a little "crunchy" and outside of our realm of comfort. From the first meeting with Ashley I could tell that I was completely wrong! Ashley was so real and down to earth, and made us both feel completely at ease and prepared for our TOLAC and hopeful VBAC. During actual labor, Ashley came when I told her I needed her, and helped me to do relax through contractions and do some exercise to try to turn my posterior baby. We labored at home with her help for as long as possible, and when I felt "pushy" she got us to the hospital and into a room ready to have a baby! Her coaching through early labor, transition, and especially pushing was instrumental to my successful VBAC. She was amazing at addressing my fears during labor and made sure I was informed and felt completely in control the whole time, as well as kept my husband calm and helped him to be involved with helping me. She made it so easy to get all the help and resources we needed. She provided competent and compassionate care from beginning to end. She and the team are very accessible and gave us all the time we needed at visits and over phone calls pre and post birth to answer questions, inform us of options, and allow us to share our lives with her. She and her team showed genuine care for our family and our experience. Her office space is kid friendly and she welcomed and involved our older kids at the appointments. For the birth itself, she was very organized, prepared, and calm so I could be calm and trusting even when I had a complication. They were really phenomenal and empowered my partner and I to make decisions and have the experience we wanted.
