I've been here a few times for a quick breakfast or a quick lunch. They have some new seasonal offerings and the interior looks like a quaint French bistro. These other critiques proved true. We walked in and were confused about where to order, particularly since no one greeted us, despite multiple workers clearly seeing us. After about five minutes and getting more assertive did we finally place an order. The man would hardly look at us and sounded bothered we were in the restaurant. The two couples that came in behind us were visibly confused and becoming frustrated as well. After sitting down the man shouted us that our salad was ready and that he needed payment. The tone was as if this was obvious, but nothing is obvious in this place. Even the silverware is a game of "Where's Waldo?" The food was mixed between alright and unimpressive. The eggs were really good! The bacon tasted strange, the French toast was 65% liquid, the maple syrup looked like it was coated in plastic, and the tiramisu--although good--was not a tiramisu; it was more like a tiramisu-inspired cake. On a recent visit I ordered the potato galette, which was good though it had been made a while so no doubt would've been better fresh from the grill. It's fine. It had been years since I had been to a La Madeleine and the food was as I remembered. Food is Good...Fine. I will say this location specifically was really really confusing. No one (and I mean there was a group of people) knew where to order or pay. Staff wasn't particularly helpful. No one jumped in to tell anyone what to do. I will also say that they didn't give me a receipt-I was there for a meeting and needed one and I had to ask which then was a 5 min endeavor that that involved 3 different employees. We were able to sit there for 4 hours working with few interruptions - a staff member did come out and jokingly at one point to hassle us (once) but it did end up being a joke. I never seen a restaurant like this before. From what I could tell, you pick your food from a line of options. You then take your tray, and you choose your own seat. I just ordered takeout desserts today. The blueberry muffins was really good, but the oatmeal raisin cookie was just ok. I have to try the cheesecake on my next visit though. read more

The croissants are fresh, flaky and super buttery; Country French Breakfast has all the goodness in it. La madeleine chicken over rice, topped with mushroom sauce with a side of steamed broccoli feels like a homecooked meal that is to die for! What could be better? Its really for a family of four but If I dont feel like cooking I'll order one and eat on it for a few days. I typically get the chicken with mushroom sauce. Its available on uber eats which is really convenient. I've tried some of their baked good but they're just ok. I've had the french bread and the nutella crossiant. The bread was hard and difficult to chew and the nutella croissant was too dense. However, I would come back for their dinners and breakfast. Eunice, the host, was rude and condescending while wearing a hidden Bluetooth device and seeming more focused on her personal conversation than on customers. When I asked about the specials, she never explained the menu options or how the specials worked something that's important for a first time customer. After I ordered my food, I tried to check in with her because it seemed like a lot was going on and she might have been overwhelmed, but she was so wrapped up in her conversation on her hidden Bluetooth that she never acknowledged me. She also didn't explain how long my order might take. At one point, she placed a plastic cup on the table without explaining it was for me again, something a new customer wouldn't automatically know. When she realized I hadn't touched it, she was dismissive and rude. I ended up waiting an unusually long time for a simple chicken croissant sandwich. Eventually, I spoke with the manager on duty about her behavior. For some reason, he had her come out to speak with me while I was waiting for my friend to finish eating. Instead of apologizing, her first words were, "Did you talk to my manager?" an unprofessional and defensive approach. This led to a back and forth exchange while the same manager stood by the door, allowing her to continue being rude without addressing her behavior. Haven't been to this location in about a year but decided to grab a bite for lunch. So much of the experience was disappointing that it really overshadowed the few good things. Staff was excellent with the exception of the cashier, whose response to my telling them the Dr Pepper was out was just to repeat what I said and look at my glass. No offer to get it fixed or apologize that I had spent a small fortune on a drink and they didn't have the flavor I wanted. Asked the same cashier if we could get some more bread later if we needed it and was told no. (What-is there a policy change?) I guess it didn't matter because the bread was dry and we didn't want more. The heat must have been out because it was freezing cold in there. When we asked if they could start the fireplace the nice guy who was delivering food to tables said it was out of order and not scheduled to be fixed until sometime in January. What? It's November and you're not going to have a fire for the holidays? It was cold in there so while our food was served hot it was stone cold by the time we were 1/2 way through. If you order the sampler do not get the chicken salad. I think they backfill it w/bread crumbs on the cheap. Soup and quiche were good but cold by finish. This store's been open for maybe 20 yrs so maybe the place is just wearing out or maybe management is trying to cut costs. Dropped by here with some coworkers for lunch. I got the Chicken Parisien sandwich (without cheese) with a side of a caesar salad. The chicken and bacon were actually super yummy and paired well with the mayo. Chicken wasn't dry at all which is a definite plus. The bread was a bit hard but fine. With the salad, there was more than enough food! It was lunch rush so it took about half an hour or so to get my food. The staff was very friendly, however! Overall - a really cute cafe with lots of food options. If you want to get in and out quickly for lunch, definitely go for something cold or prepared like the salads, soups, or pastries. The cafe was cozy and all the Covid-19 restrictions were followed. We loved the cafe and all the attendents were nice and sweet. When we ordered we got the soup and potato galette. We got rest of the food in next 5-7 minutes. Had to stop in and write a review for this particular location of the Madeline.... Perimeter center. We just had a baby shower there and the service was phenomenal. I reserved everything with the manager, Dakari. He was absolutely PERFECT! He wanted to ensure that we were all well taken care of and got everything that we needed. We used their banquet room which was the perfect amount of enclosed space so that all of our shower attendees had an awesome time! Thank you so very much again to all of the staff for your attentiveness to our group. I would definitely recommend this location to ANYONE who is looking for great food and a great experience!
