Had lunch today at Chicken Salad Chick, and let me tell you... my first experience was a great one! From the moment I walked in, the customer service was on point. The young man at the front was super helpful and even let me sample a few of the chicken salad flavors so I could decide which one I wanted. I went with the Jalapeño Chicken Salad on croissants, and it did not disappoint! My meal also came with a side, and I chose the pasta salad. There are several other options, including broccoli salad, soup, and mac & cheese. And inside my box were a pickle and those delicious buttercream-frosted cookies. If I could give half stars this would be a 3.5/5. It's good, but I wasn't fully satisfied. This chicken salad is delicious, and the location is old school southern hospitality vibes. But why don't they toast the croissant?! I'm telling you- take this to-go, get home, toast that croissant and you'll be in heaven!! This broccoli slaw side is the perfect blend of healthy and savory, and they pair each meal with a sweet mini vanilla cookie (I still miss the Lemon cookie). This is my go to place for a simple fresh tasting meal. The chicken salad is full of great ingredients. My favorites are Jalapeño Holly and Fancy Nancy but you can go wrong with any selection. You can have it as a scoop, sandwich on bread toasted or not, or on a croissant. The crew here is always awesome, very, very polite and makes sure you are doing well if you eat in the restaurant. So this is a nice little duck off in the middle of a shopping area. So that means there's free parking so just keep that in mind. It's pretty spacious and has really for a small party if you wanted to do that. The last time that I went they had a small party actually. They have an area there where you can quickly pick up things from the register area instead of having to wait for the food to get done if you wanted to make it to order. This is useful if you don't have time to wait. The times that I've been there have been very positive, they are really helpful. The first time that I went I didn't know what I was doing or what I was getting. So the person who was taking my order explain the entire menu to me even though they're ppl behind me so that really spoke to the customer service. I have a pickup area for you as well. So you don't have to actually and wait in line if need be, you can just go by the door and pick up your food if you've already paid for it. One thing I noticed here was while I was waiting, I saw some of the staff cleaning the tables off with wipes. So they're sanitizing between use and I think that's really good. I just recently started going to Chicken Salad Chick consistently over the past month. I usually get Olivia's Old South. The first time I ordered, I tried it on a croissant, but the bread was too thick. The next time, the cashier suggested that I get the bread toasted, and it was perfect. Today, I wanted to try the Kickin Kay Lynne on a croissant. When they passed me my sandwich, I noticed the bread wasn't toasted. They told me that I didn't ask for the bread to be toasted. I advised, I didn't know that I had to ask because it was offered before. I asked if it would be too much to toast the bread. They said no, they will toast the bread for me. I waited while they packaged my food and gave it back to me. I checked my food again... To my surprise and disappointment, they put the whole sandwich on the toaster. Now, the outside of the croissant was burnt and the inside of the croissant was still thick. The chicken salad was also hot and brown because it had been cooked on the toaster. Instead of deconstructing the sandwich, to toast only the bread or remaking the sandwich, the lady in the kitchen just threw the whole sandwich on the toaster. I watched in the kitchen as she fussed and laughed when I asked for my bread to be toasted, like it was an inconvenience. I asked for a refund and she came out of the kitchen to issue a refund. I stepped in for the wednesday to grab a quick sandwich. The cashier was really nice and the restaurant setting included several booths and seemed adequate for the space. Now with regard to the chicken salad, one should note that there are several freshly-made versions of the chicken salad, which include both savory and sweet versions, served atop the bread of your choice. I opted for the fancy Nancy was quite pleased, and would definitely recommend. And it came with the most adorable frosted cookie, a beverage. I may have paid extra for the beverage, but I cannot recall for certain. Honestly, it was a very pleasant visit with one caveat. The cashier was doing such a wonderful job. However, there was another fairly young lady w/blonde hair who seemed just stand around. I realized that she was a runner, but she could have at least assisted the cashier with coordinating the to go orders, as there was a considerable line of customers. Hopefully, management, can address to activate the add'l team members to assist in providing the great service that one would come to expect from this establishment. I have fell in love with this place since the first day I visited. Their customer service is awesome. It is very clean and comfy. I love their rewards program and the updated version is even better. My favorite sandwich is the Classic Carol on a croissant. You have to go and try them if you like eating chicken salad. Of course they have variations of the chicken salad. Admittedly, I like Chicken Salad Chick for catering and it's likely a better lunchtime spot for the week. It just didn't fill me up and make me feel like I got value for $11 sandwich. The jalapeño chicken salad was good but not enough salad to bun ratio. The fruit cup was not super fresh either. Update--I went back to CSC last week and it was amazing. The line was terribly long and there was only one cashier. However, that man was so patient and kind to everyone, including his fellow coworkers. He was really doing his best under all the stress and I appreciate him for that. I got the jalapeño Holly and a cup of loaded potato soup, and it was fantastic. It also came with a pickle and a little sugar cookie. This was my very first time at a Chicken Salad Chick location. Overall, something was off with the employees in general. The girl at the register kept touching her hair and scratching her head. Thankfully she didn't touch my food directly. There was a guy just randomly hanging around with a less than presentable appearance and the employees in the back were sorta just there. I ordered a scoop of the Olivia's Old South chicken salad and it was really good. I also had the grape salad. It was an interesting concept but the execution was off and the sweet cream cheese mixture was too thin. Minus the employees, the experience was okay. Im not sure what happened to this location, they must be under new management, but they use to be quick and efficient and better-quality food. The last few times I have eaten here it has taken 15 minutes to get a scoop to our table when it's not even busy in the store. I've come here three times already, and the food has grown on me. The first time I ate here, I thought - Meh. The second time I thought, OK, this is good. I came here yesterday, and I'm now a fan. Parking is easy to find in the large and free lot shared by all of the businesses in Perimeter Marketplace. We walked into the restaurant and were immediately greeted by one of the employees (I think he was in charge at that time). At this location, the queue to order or to view any of the grab-and-go packaged food is on the left. Menus are available on the wall that separates the queue area from the dining area. The employees are generally very quick to take your order at the counter, and my orders have consistently been accurate during the three times I've eaten here. The menu has many choices on it: chicken salads that are made in traditional, savory, fruity and nutty, and spicy; pimento cheeses; various salads; various soups; and various sides. They even have one type of cookie, and a small children's menu with 4 selections. Fountain drinks are self serve. One great thing that is offered here are samplings of the salads if you can't make up your mind, or you just can't tell what the flavor will be like unless you actually taste it. I've taken advantage of getting samples of many of the chicken salads. Everything is so fresh and delicious! This time around, I ordered the Chicken Salad BLT signature sandwich. This included any chicken salad in the sandwich, with added crispy bacon, lettuce and tomato. I chose the Classic Carol chicken salad, which is just basic chicken salad with nothing else in it, since I didn't want any other fanci-fied flavors added that would detract from the BLT part of the sandwich that I was so looking forward to. Signature sandwiches are served with the customer's choice of side, cup of soup or a scoop (meaning another scoop of chicken salad - customer's choice. I chose a cup of chicken and dumpling soup. R also ordered a signature sandwich, with a cup of tortilla soup as his side. When our food was ready, an employee cheerfully delivered it to our table, and even came back a few minutes later to see if we needed anything. Our soups were hot, delicious and flavorful. I highly recommend the chicken and dumplings soup! Heck, I recommend to everyone the same sandwich that I ordered. Definitely get the Chicken Salad BLT signature sandwich, and request the Classic Carol as your salad option. This chicken salad had just enough mayo in it to ensure it was moist enough to be palatable, but not moist enough to soak into/through the toasted bread. The toasted bread was just slightly crunchy, not like bread that was toasted in a toaster or a toaster oven, but more like panini bread. The sandwich meal came with a pickle spear and not-too-sweet soft cookie with icing on it. Everything was perfect together. Toward the end of our meal, the same employee who served us our food came by our table and offered to take our dirty plates and trash away for us. It wasn't too busy when I went at lunch time on a week day. The food is really good and only for about $10 for the meal (I got a water cup, so no drink included in that price). It's a really good deal & I was full afterwards. I ordered the sassy Scotty on a croissant w/ lettuce and tomato. It was so good! I also got the grape salad which had brown sugar and crushed pecans on top w/ a cream cheese mixture on it. The cookie was good too! Overall, I would definitely recommend eating here! Very good chicken salad sandwich, with the toasted wheat bread was my choice. Got a side of fruit to go with it and was satisfied. So today was the Grand Opening and I ordered the Fancy Nancy with a side of fruit and although Fancy has fruit and pecans I allegedly had two grapes but none the less it was very tasty especially on the crackers that were provided. Let me start with I LOVE CHICKEN SALAD CHICK. I have eaten at this restaurant in ATL, Plano, and other states. I've never written a bad review of this establishment. I actually ate at this location yesterday, great service and the food is always consistent. However, today I ordered through Uber Eats, I came to the counter and the the man was on the phone, he put his finger up as of to say "give me one second" and that was fine. What was rude was the other worker at the front counter who avoided making eye contact with me, though I was the only person standing there. I watched her put my order together kind of tossing things into the bad, attitude was rude. My biggest issue is that she didn't know that was my order. She didn't know if I wanted to order a whole meal or just needed a fork, yet and still she completely ignored my existence. No, "Hi ma'am how can I help you." Or "I'm not working the counter you'll have to wait for him to get off the phone." Cool. But I was ignored for at least four-five minutes, rude. I understand a bad day. I understand being annoyed with your job or coworkers but I, am neither one of those things and didn't deserve this type of service. On my way out I ran into someone coming in and shared my experience and I hope this person was talked to because there were some great, nice people working the day before and I don't want the wrong people to get talked to. Everyone enjoyed our meals from the soup to the chicken salad. The service was Great and fast. The service was terrific and everyone was very kind.
