Recently renovated and reopened, The Coffee House looks a lot more modern, sleek and welcoming. This business is family owned and operated on the ground floor of the 2002 Building at Perimeter Summit. Their main focuses are selling coffee-related items, limited varieties of smoothies, limited types of baked goods, bottled and canned beverages and packaged snacks. They are open to all customers only during the weekdays and they close in the early afternoon. Their prices are very reasonable. I live right across the street from The Coffee House and hadn't returned until earlier this week, when R and I walked over in the morning to get something light to eat and drink. There were eight customers seated, and three other customers in line at the counter waiting to place their orders with the two employees behind the counter. The younger employee, who was all business with no time for being warm and welcoming, was efficient. Near the order counter were three high top tables, each with four tall stools, and, in a corner away from the tables, were some stuffed chairs, some modern wooden chairs, and a loveseat, with some side tables in between. Lots of natural light stream through the floor to ceiling windows, with many light fixtures providing even more light. There are tables outside, some of them with large umbrellas providing shade. R and I sat in the corner on some comfy chairs, waiting for our order to be fulfilled. After about 10 minutes, R picked up my hot chai tea latte and a cheese danish, and his vanilla latte and cranberry scone, and brought them back to where I was sitting. We both thought our lattes and baked goods were very flavorful and delicious. We will definitely be going back.

Located on the first floor of the 2002 building in Perimeter Center, The Coffee House isn't immediately noticeable. There is a deli counter to the left when walking in the front door, so head to the right if you need that caffeine fix. They have all the options you need - hot and cold coffees & teas, smoothies, bagels, muffins, snacks, plus normal "convenience store" goods. The coffee is Seattle's Best and, at least the iced coffee I tried, was good. I'd like to see them use local beans but it sure beats the free hotel room coffee.

I was super excited to finally get a REAL coffee shop in the neighborhood, especially since I have loved their Alpharetta location since 2020. Since then, I've been back a few times to meet friends for a cup of coffee or grab a bag of whole beans to go to make my own espresso at home! It's not the cheapest bag of beans but it's definitely freshly roasted and good quality! I love their seasonal bevs - I've tried their fall drinks like the Tokyo Drift (Applewood smoked cortado, orange blossom syrup, freshly grated nutmeg, orange peel) and the Spice is Right (Iced, spicy, creamy, coffee cocktail vibe with cold brew, hot honey syrup, vanilla bean and milk). You can easily sub out alternate milks, even on the seasonal specialty drinks. I appreciate the themes and play on the seasons. And also just simple but delicious drinks like the Nitro Lavender Vanilla Oat Latte. The seating can be a huge issue. I seem to always stumble in during peak, maybe? There seems to be plenty of space but no seating/tables. Many tables for 2 or 4 would be taken by 1-2 people studying/working all day, which is understandable but still frustrating. There is some outdoor seating (dog friendly, woohoo!) but is extremely vulnerable to the elements. Overall, I'm grateful for more local and noncommercial coffee shops in Dunwoody! Bring em on!!

The cinnamon roll was perfectly balanced--not overly sweet--and paired really well with the bold, flavorful cold brew. The team member who helped me was kind, attentive, and very helpful, which made the experience feel welcoming from start to finish. The quality of the coffee, pastries, indoor seating, and the friendliness of the staff made for an easy, enjoyable afternoon. I ordered an Americano made with one of their signature house blends. It was piping hot with a hint of sweetness and a full, rich body. My group also ordered pastries including a cinnamon roll, a blueberry muffin, and a double chocolate cookie. I accidentally dropped the muffin on the floor right after ordering it, and the staff was incredibly kind and replaced it at no charge. The indoor vibe was relaxed with light music playing in the background. I will definitely be coming back.

A friend and I opted to go during the week and try the tasting menu called the Temaki Takeover. It is an option to try several items at a cost of $79 per person. With this offer you are required to sit at the bar, the max dining time is 90 minutes and you are limited to ordering 3 items at a time. Our server was friendly and provided great insight into the menu. We tried 4 of the 6 starters. I enjoyed all of them . We had 6 of the items from the Temaki bar section of the menu. The one that we did not try was American wagyu since we don't eat red meat. The crispy spicy tuna was my favorite. I will not bore you with our entire order . However . I will say that there were more hits than misses and we tried the majority of the menu. In addition to trying the food items I also ordered a matcha that was perfection!! Overall - great experience. I decided to try the miso soup, which was made with a fish broth--my first time having it that way and ordered a few rolls as well. Since I was seated at the bar, the chef was able to prepare everything almost immediately after I ordered. The food was definitely worth the bite! However, I did feel a little rushed. I'm not sure if it was because reservations were coming in, but I tend to eat a little slower and really enjoy the experience. With such a beautiful ambiance, I wanted to take my time, try one of the pastries, and perhaps enjoy one of the recommended drinks. Unfortunately, the vibe started to feel more like "to-go," so I wrapped things up. Overall, the food was delicious, and I'd definitely be open to returning. Next time, I'd love to experience the full ambiance and take my time enjoying everything they have to offer.
