Had such a lovely experience! The staff was so kind to me and my family. I was a bit frazzled, you see...earlier in the day I had to deal with our water main. Anyway, I apologized to the cashier for being frazzled and remarked that it had been a long day. My family had just sat down when the chef came out and apologized that they were out of what my husband ordered and very politely asked if he wanted something else. My husband ordered and that was that, no fuss. The manager, BJ, came to our table and said she heard we had a long day (cashier was paying attention) and hated that they may have added to it, so she gave all of us pasties on the House. Stopped by this place for lunch today. It was my first time there and the staff was really helpful in showing me the ropes. Everyone was very friendly during my experience. They have a station where you grab your silverware, napkins, drinks, condiments, etc. The food came out in a timely manner. I got the French breakfast (potato galette, croissant, bacon, and eggs). It was pretty good. I'm not sure I have a huge taste for French food which is why I gave it 4/5 stars but overall the experience was nice! read more

I don't know what is actually going on here. Every La Madeleine I've been to in Texas has been great, the food, the atmosphere, the service...the ones in Tulsa are STRUGGLING. We just went tonight and the ordering process is bizarre, sometimes a person is standing near the line, before you've had a chance to look at a menu, pumping you to order right away. Tonight she was behind the glass and food line, typing our order in on a filthy looking iPad and simultaneously getting people food from the food line. Totally gross. The line itself, also very dirty, with food everywhere and flies buzzing around. I ordered a French Dip sandwich...blah. The roll was slightly under cooked and not warm, the meat was bland, the "caramelized onions" looked like they had been steamed or something, no color on them at all. My fruit cup was full of slimy watermelon and a couple token pieces of melon, oh, and one grape. Whomp whomp. The tomato soup is always good but...it probably just comes out of a jar and gets warmed up so they can't really mess that up. My husband had an omelette and said it was "alright" but nothing amazing. The staff seems to be in need of more training. There weren't any forks out on the line for half an hour, people were literally waiting in line for clean forks and it wasn't even that busy in the restaurant. They are constantly wandering around asking if you ordered whatever food they are carrying, in spite of the table numbers they give you, they leave huge tubs of dirty dishes out near the dining room. They just need some direction and leadership. Bad. The desserts are pretty and generally tasty, but not enough for me to go back, any time soon, of my own choosing. read more

Walked in and ordered take out. First of all they were out of pesto, so my daughter had to pick a different item. We ordered two Turkey croissant sandwiches with chips and two other sandwiches two sides of FO soup and a few other desserts. We received two ham sandwiches on baguette, no chips, no croutons for the soup and not one fork or napkin. Very disappointing and we will not be back. read more

I enjoy coming to this friendly place for their quiche and fruit tart! I also like their salad and chicken sandwich. The quiche is a great size and my children love it! It's children friendly so that's always a plus for me since I have two little ones. I haven't explored their entrees but I have gotten their sandwiches, soup and salad. I love them! read more

All I ordered was a yogurt parfaits for my daughter and a entree for myself, and I received so much Attitude. I really hope the place stays in business for their food. I love the food here. The quiches are delicious and fluffy,and they have a wide selection of pastries/desserts. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean. It has a really nice café feeling to it. The staff was friendly, patient, and helpful. The only thing I would want would be more vegetarian options, but that doesn't make or break this place for me. This location is right off the highway nestled next to lots of other businesses in Tulsa Hills so the location is great. Pretty big location too so it is good for a group. Also, for groups, they have a small private room with a white board for added privacy. I like the decor of the place and the coziness the fireplace adds. The french countryside theme is well executed and seems well thought out. The fast casual set up is perfect for the variety of menu items available from breakfast to lunch/dinner to bakery items. Whether you want to come in for dessert and coffee and a quite place to study or get some work done (there is free WiFi BTW) or a full three course meal, La Madeleine has you covered. The service is usually pretty solid and the staff is always willing to help with a recommendation which is nice because the menu choices can be a bit overwhelming. A lot of the staff at this location is from the location that used to be on Cherry Street so they are pretty experienced. With the variety of menu items, it would take me too long to list all of the yummy things I've had here but I'll give a few menu highlights of my favorites: 1. Favorite breakfast-The Quiche Lorraine: egg, ham, bacon, and Swiss custard with really flaky pie crust shell (it's a mini pie shape rather than a slice of a larger pie like a lot of places have so it's almost big enough for two unless you're really hungry) 2. Favorite soup-French Onion Soup: 'nuff said 3. Favorite lunch-Croque Monsieur: French smoked ham and Swiss with garlic cream sauce baked on wheat-berry bread. They bake the sauce onto the bread people! This is not a drill, this sandwich is for real and it's amazing, but not a light bite so make sure you're hungry enough for it. 4. Favorite entree/dinner-Chicken La Madeleine: balsamic-marinated chicken with creamy wild mushroom sauce served with rice Provencal and steamed broccoli. This is my go to dish for when I am trying to watch my calories and it has a ton of flavor. I have tried to recreate this sauce at home, it's that good, but I have not been able to make it as yummy as they do. 5. Favorite dessert-Coconut Cream Cake. Oh my goodness, this cake is moist and delicious and the best thing I've ever eaten with coconut in it. That is saying a lot because I grew up eating homemade German chocolate cake and I like Thai food. For those picky eaters who don't like coconut (shame on you): my back up favorite dessert is the lemon tart which also comes in a mini version that is down right stinking cute! read more

I'm so excited to have this closer South! I've been to La Madeleine several times at the Cherry Street location and loved it. I've been getting the salad trio, which is great because you can get a combination of salads, soup or pasta so you can sample different menu items. This time I got the Caesar salad, tomato soup and pasta salad. All were great.. and the free bread and jam is such a nice touch! I really do think they have some of the best tomato basil soup and you can pick some up there to take home as well. I hope this location does well! read more

I normally love La Madeleine. I've visited the Cherry Street location before it closed and frequent the Norman location, but I will not be visiting this location again. Went at 8pm this evening and the entire staff was prepping like they would be closing in 5 minutes when in fact they still had an entire hour left open. The food tasted fine, but they were serving the soups from plastic containers out on the counter. The bread area was not stocked and many tables had dishes left on them. I moved dirty dishes that were left out in front of the drink fountain. Just all around a disappointing experience from a restaurant that I normally really enjoy. read more

The food here is pretty consistently wonderful. I highly recommend the chicken Friand. Also try the strawberries Romanoff. I actually come here about once a week because my office is just down the street and it's really good. But here is where this particular location gets tricky. First, when you come in, it's difficult to get the attention of someone who can help. Sometimes I feel like I am an interruption. Something must really be going on with leadership because I haven't met a single employee who hasn't had a scowl on their face and a irritated tone of voice. Today, I ordered and the person helping me suddenly walked away without warning and didn't come back. Stuff like that happens a lot at this location, so don't be surprised. The service here wasn't very good at all. The employees don't seem to care about their job and had a half-assed attitude. When it came to the food, it tasted great, but that was about the only good thing. My sandwich was pretty burnt on the crust. My mom found a hair in her salad, and she also received the wrong salad. I am so sad that this is the only location now that the Cherry Street one is closed. The food is still good, but this location is a mess. The new ordering system is confusing, inefficient, and slow. I ordered quiche, salad and soup, which they prepare immediately and hand to me cafeteria style. My husband ordered a french dip, which they make behind the scenes and bring to your table. Therefore, I had my food several minutes before my husband. It was better the old way, where all the food was brought out at once. This new system just doesn't make sense. I did notice an employee drinking behind where food is served, and one employee with their hair down. Just makes me wonder about the cleanliness in the kitchen. I ate there on Friday night and have finally kicked the stomach issue as of today. When I checked out the cashier did the whole sales pitch on downloading their app, and when I declined she said "I hate that they make me ask that". Maybe don't force your employees to offer a service that we can clearly read about on the pamphlet at the check-out if they have that attitude about it.
