I've heard bout this place and was told I should check it out to see what I thought. Once inside I liked the decor and ambience. Everyone seemed very friendly and I was attended to very quickly. The music playing was a good mix that felt appropriate in setting the "mesquite grill" vibe. There were several menu options for both the meat eaters and non meat eaters alike. I liked this for my vegetarian friends. Upon being seated someone immediately brought out a basket of chips and salsa. I ordered queso as an appetizer to munch on as I looked over the menu. I asked if I could try a few items a la cart as it was my first time there and they said that it was an availble option, YAY. As I waited, I received my quesoThe queso was good but the chips was where it was at! They were so thin and crispy and I don't know if they had any seasoning but I just couldn't stop eating them! I ordered the Tacos Al Carbon as my main dish then ordered a street chicken taco, and a brisket tamale. I was enjoying my chips, salsa, and queso...then came the food...the tamale was HUGE! I had ordered it without the salsa/sauce that comes on top because I wanted to really taste the flavor of the masa and brisket inside. Let me tell you, I wasn't expecting the taste to be so good. It felt very authentic and homemade. I'll definitely be coming back for these tamales! On the other hand the street taco was ok. The chicken was flavored well but it was not anything that stood out to me. The tacos al carbon with beef were also ok. Their flour tortillas were generic flour tortillas and it just made it like any other taco I would eat. I really wish they would put more thought into a homemade flour tortilla as this would have definitely elevated their tacos. Overall, their flavors were good. A welcoming great place to enjoy a delicious meal, have a refreshing drink, and enjoy good company. Conveniently located In Joshua on North Main. Very nice building love their landscaping. Their interior was neatly decorated and organized . A very nice calming atmosphere and very clean. Fantastic waitstaff and our waitress, Lily was a delight, very intentive on getting our order, and getting it out fast. I can recommend the chicken enchilada dinner. But go check it out yourself. They have a delightful menu. Prices are good. I'm so glad my friend Jackie recommended this establishment for us to dine at last night. My husband and I visited for the first time on a Saturday at 3:30 p.m. At that time, there were only five tables being served. No one greeted us when we entered, so we found a table and sat down. Three servers walked past us multiple times without acknowledging us. We eventually asked one server for menus. A young man brought chips and salsa and told us our server would be right with us. Another server walked by shortly after, and I asked if someone would be waiting on us soon. She went toward the kitchen, but no one ever came. After waiting ten minutes, we decided to leave. With six staff members present and only five tables, it's unclear why no one could take care of us. Unfortunately, this experience reflects poor management, and we will not be returning. read more

Two of us went for lunch! Aug 1.2025 Waitress and service were awesome. But I go to lunch for the food. my taco was tasteless and boring and the person I was with said meat/seasonings was off. Almost no lettuce or cheese in both. My friend had chicken enchiladas and said chicken was overcooked and dried out. Her tamale was 99 percent masa and a tiny strip of what looked like meat. My enchilada was lackluster in flavor. Would definately PASS on eating here. 42.00 bill with no drinks for boring flavorless food is ridiculous. There are better places to eat.... How was the food? No idea. Went in with a party of 4 on Sunday and the restaraunt was less than 1/4 full. Hostes and waitress looked confused just trying to seat us. Get to our table and sit there 10 full minutes without a single person coming to our table. No drinks, nothing. Watched these young girls come in and out of the kitchen laughing and playing with whoever was back there. They also looked like they were confused about other tables food orders. Another table of 2 sat next to us about 5 minutes after us. Those ladies got chips, salsa, and drinks. Love the food here. The mexican pizza is my FAVORITE, and it's huge! The chips and salsa are amazing. I could eat a jug of it. We have loved our food every time we go! The only thing I seriously dislike are the screeching chairs. It's constant, and so loud. Some felt on the bottom of the chair legs would make time spent here so much more pleasant. We have been here twice. The first time was ok. Food was decent but service left something to be desired. We tried again yesterday (08/24/2026) and ended up leaving without ordering so much as a glass of water. The restaurant wasn't busy but you could tell they were a little under staffed and unorganized. That's completely understandable; however what isn't excusable is watching two tables get seated after you and get immediate service. No employee ever came to our table and then we watched as two of the wait staff, one of whom sat us down, come running in and out of the kitchen laughing and joking. That was enough for us. We came in at 5:30 pm on a Sunday and ordered 2 frozen margaritas and the young bartender came back and explained how they only had enough left for one and how they had to clean them that night. And we were explained that we didn't want to make her refill it just for us, but the bartender was very nice and insisted on refilling it just a little to allow us to have a couple frozen each. The manager, 'Amanda', however was very rude and unprofessional telling the young bartender, "why did you refill it" and "ok, well I'm shutting it off at 6:30" etc while setting on her phone in the corner. Totally ruined the night honestly and made the vibes super weird. The bartender was very nice, the drinks and food were good but the manager was very unprofessional. Would also like to add that they close at 8:00 pm as well, not like it's 30minutes before close. read more

This is a great new Tex-Mex place with everything you'd expect on the menu. The tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas are great. The salsa is exactly the way I like it and it's got most of the same ingredients I use when I make it. The chips are light and crispy but just thick enough to hold up the salsa. We tried this place out when it was brand new to see what all the hype was about, we went in at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, the place was totally dead no customers, we ordered our food it was the worst food I've ever put in my mouth! It took forever for the teenage waitress to come and even take our drink orders, and much longer to get the food! I guess if they weren't busy on their cell phones and gossiping with the other employees, they could find time to wait on the only table in the entire building! I definitely recommend this place! They have probably eight choices of sauce for your enchiladas/burritos. I had the cheese and onion enchiladas with red chili sauce. They were excellent! My companions had chicken enchiladas with the Le Mesa crème sauce and the steak fajitas. Both were extremely happy with their food and the servings were large. They have very good salsa and the chips are light and fresh. I enjoyed the music which is mostly eighties rock. I didn't have a drink, but they do have a bar and 1/2 price margaritas (sometime during the week), please call to confirm. Overall the experience was good and the food was great! I loved the salsa (the real rest of any good Mexican restaurant is always the salsa) but wasn't thrilled with the rest of my order. I got the La Mesa Chicken Enchiladas which were dry and the sauce was kind of blah. The chorizo bean dip was super good. I'd be excited to go back and try more off the menu. We come here about once a month. We usually sit at the bar but our son was in town so we sat at a table. The staff is always happy and courteous. The table had some food residue on it. The chairs are extremely loud and uncomfortable. Every time someone moves they screech across the floor. We got the quest, which is flavorful. The fajita salad is big but the chicken was dry and not freshly grilled. My son got the enchilada trio which he happily ate. Although arguably could use more cheese inside and on top of each one. The beers are always cold. We love the frosty large mugs. We will come back! read more

Went there this evening for my birthday dinner. The place was not busy at all. Ordered our drinks then the waitress came back and took our food order. My wife and w ere talking and here comes the food. No drinks from the bar. Got water, hard to mess that up. Looked at my dinner and had 3 pieces of fajita steak on the onion and cheese enchiladas. On the menu, it's a #2, add the steak, $5.00 more it's now a #4. The "steak" was cold and only warm by the enchiladas that rated like they were microwaved. The borracho beans had a strange taste to the as well. The waitress was great apologizing and had no issues with her. I had to go and contact the manager because we were getting ready to leave. After talking to her, they took the $5.00 for the cold steak off the ticket. She then tried to explain that the bartender had only been back there 3 times. I asked her about his training to be cut loose and manage the bar orders. She said that she was going to help him out to get caught up. Mind you, there were less than 25 people in the place during this time. I asked about if the place was busy what would have happened, she started to make more excuses for their lack of training. If you are in Texas and can't make a margarita or a ranch water, you're probably not a bartender. Overall, service was good, food has lost its quality and not very good.
