We have came here once a year starting in 2023. This restaurant used to be fabulous. We would drive 20 miles out of our way home to eat here. They had fabulous chips and queso and great smoked meats. We stopped here (in July of 2026) on a Saturday night and were the only ones at the restaurant. The food was horrible. We got queso, which did not taste like anything. We both did not finish our tacos. There wasn't any seasoning on the meats and they were honestly gross. They were also out of smoked brisket and fajita meat. They service was good and the they were very kind but it made us so sad. We will not be coming back here again. I hate to leave a bad review, but I wanted others to be aware as I know many people used to drive out of their way to eat here. read more

Late post. Came by here a couple weeks ago on off hours. Ordered the chicken enchiladas special and brisket tacos. So the gentleman working (maybe owner not sure) was SOOO nice! He was super helpful with helping us choose what to get and was just a very nice man. The beans that are self serve are no joke the best beans I have ever had! I would go just for those. Service I get you can get busy, but welcome the customers, almost felt like we were a burden to order food from whom I assume is the owner. Food was not bad but not good enough to come again. The self serve charro beans are a nice thing but the choice of cheese they melt on top of their food is not the best. Some queso blanco would be a better choice to complement the food. read more

We have not been down for a visit in a while. Wanted to see for ourselves how things are these days. We both went with the Smoked Chile Rellanos. The dish was, of course, quite good but we really miss the version back in the day that included corn and black beans, etc. in the stuffing. That was, in our opinion, so much more robust and flavorful with some additional textures to boot. Yes, I know it costs what, $22 now? I was not happy at all with their fajitas chili rellenos.. the meat was very chewy with not much taste.. my wife had the beef enchiladas and it was barely lukewarm. So many people told us how good this place was but we were not impressed. Service was ok but only one person was available to wait on people.. she was doing the best she could..the place was old I know but didn't think it was clean at all. Went last night for their New Year's Eve celebration and it was a dud. The food was delicious but definitely not worth 70. PP and the drinks were so watered down that several were sent back . The band was good but there was no dance floor area but I guess wouldn't have mattered anyways as the people that were there were on Their phones instead of socializing. Our group was trying to have fun but we kept getting that look to shut up . I know this was their first year of having this but yea we could have had more fun at home partying . This is our second time visiting this location and it doesn't disappoint. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The girl taking my order recommended the brisket and I am so glad I asked. It was hands down the best brisket I've had in a long time. Food is fresh and delicious. If this place wasn't so far from our home we'd probably eat here every week. read more

Hugeeeeeeee burritos bathed in queso!!!!! What more could you ask for?! I wanted the steak but they were out so got the chicken instead. How anyone can like this place is beyond me. Absolutely everything here, even the soda, is just god awful. This was my first time back here in about 10yrs. Thought Id give it another shot. Oh well. This may be my favorite Taco spot in the areas around Fort Worth. I ate here for the first time probably 10-15 years ago and remember it being great, and slam-packed at that time. It's still the same experience! I love the smoked flavor, and the generous portions. The variety of salsa, hot sauces, and toppings just add to the experience. The lady who was working the counter, walked into the kitchen and prepared food WITHOUT washing her hands or using any hand sanitizer. Are they not suppose to use gloves or wash their hands before handling food?! Especially considering we're trying to prevent people from getting COVID?! My meal here was amazing. I had the special - west Texas stacked enchiladas. The brisket inside was tender and delicious with a nice flavor of mesquite. The verde sauce was fresh and perfectly done. Everything about this meal was so good I had to will myself to stop eating before I hurt myself! It's that delicious. Other things: the place has a ton of character, nice people working, indoor and outdoor dining, and a huge outdoor sitting/dining area for music nights. My husband and I had had an early breakfast so we decided to share their large burrito which said on the menu was $11 but we were charged 15 when the burrito came to the table, it looked a little plain like something you'd make yourself at home. I came here on the recommendation of a friend because I was nearby fishing at Wheeler Branch. I was a bit hesitant because BBQ and tacos are my two favorite foods and I'm a snob when it comes to both of those, but I'm so glad I went for it. It far exceeded my expectations. I felt like I had been transported to the Austin area, from the smell of BBQ, to the Texas country music playing, to the big stage and play area for kids in the back. They have BBQ, Tex-Mex, and burgers. I went with smoked brisket tacos and chips and salsa. All of their salsa's are spectacular! The brisket tacos were among the best I've ever had. I recently visited this restaurant because my niece was in town from San Francisco. I placed the to go order at 11:10 for lunch. I ordered two Burrito bowls, one with no crema . First it was packaged in a container for soup, which made it look just thrown together. Secondly, there was no rice. I called back and was told that the only bowl that has rice is the Rio Grande bowl, even though the website clearly says Cilantro rice and I could come back today or another day if I wanted to pick up the rice. The portion was not enough to fill a small bowl, which happens to be ok because it was disgusting, not for human consumption... looked like "slop". Complete waste of 35.00. I threw it in the trash. We love going here for lunch on the weekends. The place is busier at night so if we go midday we beat the rush. We usually get the tacos bur today i tried the Del Norte brisket quesadilla which is made with corn tortillas (corn is my preference but they also have flour). This little side of the road spot in Godley Texas is actually a quite large and amazing Mexican restaurant with an outdoor venue. We often stop here for tacos, guac, the free beans and some iced tea. They actually have a pretty large menu to pick from including everything from enchiladas, tacos, breakfast items and often has specials. Outside is a large outdoor area with picnic benches, a covered stage and they often have live music. It is BYOB as well. I've never had a something here that wasn't just next level delicious. It's not much to look at on the inside so don't come here looking for anything fancy but if you're down with some delicious Tex-Mex, this place is not to be missed. read more

Our bill was $30 for a taco plate and a burger with no sides and no drinks. And I don't have an issue with paying for high quality food, but this experience was mediocre at best. And the teenage girl working the counter acted like we were disturbing her. The burger was wrong and had to be sent back. It was "just okay". Went there today n ordered three tacos: Brisket, pork and the blackened fish. Brisket was -Meh at best, pork had no real flavor and the biggest disappointment .. the blackened fish. 1. The fish had ZERO blackening on it 2. appeared to have been flat top grilled -kinda... was sill a bit raw n smelled fishy, 3. It had a tarter sauce taste... I hate tarter sauce. I have waited about a month to post because I wanted to make sure I was being fair in my review. We had out of town company who wanted to try Del Norte... We were seated quickly and our waitress was nice. However they had just moved into a new dinning area and the tables we HORRIBLE the legs were so loose and the who table wobbled we asked to move (FYI no one we told seemed to care about the unsafe tables).
