Awesome soup and sandwich stop! We ordered the 2 Favs - you can pick any half sandwich, half potato, salad, or soup. I had the Chicken Tortilla Soup and Chicken Salad on the fluffiest sourdough bread I have ever had. He had the half Potato and a Turkey melt, as seen in picture. We stopped in The Owls Nest for the first time today. I ordered the Turkey Melt, my son had the BLT stuffed half avocado with small Cereal Killer milkshake and my daughter had the Brownie & Ice Cream w/ Chocolate Drizzle. Everything was great! My melt was hot, fresh and full of flavor. My son enjoyed his stuffed avocado and Cereal Killer milkshake (but said if we came back he'd order the melt I had - it really was awesome, haha). And my daughter's brownie was perfectly warm under the ice cream. The restaurant seemed clean and well taken care of and our waitress was very friendly. We will definitely visit again! read more

Stop in for lunch I've gotta say I was glad I did! I had the Hot Roast Beef sandwich and it was tasty! The service was excellent and the owner even gave me a macadamia/chocolate chip cookie to try and it was excellent! Everything is made fresh and to order. Today my husband and I tried this place for the first time. It was our anniversary lunch and the waitress was not very friendly. When we told her our drink order which was tea and water she acted like it was putting her out to get them. so my husband got the hot roast beef sandwich with potato salad and I got the chicken Caesar sandwich with side salad. The restaurant was not very busy so we were not expecting what happened next since it was 12:30 in the afternoon. The waitress came to tell us that they were out of potato salad already, and asked if we could have tater tots instead, my husband said that that's fine even though he wanted the potato salad. The food finally came after 20 minutes after ordering. The food was good but not wonderful. My husband's sandwich was small considering the price he got only maybe a handful of tater tot tots. We were charged to $2.50 for the tater tots even though it was not our fault that they didn't have potato salad. We had to ask for ketchup, and for napkins, was not given to us. When it was time to check out I never saw how much everything was but given a handheld machine with the cost not the detailed description. I know I was charged the up charge on some items but after her not being friendly we decided to pay and leave. read more

I ordered a charcuterie board for a family Christmas gathering. I expected it to be nice and a bit better than grocery store platters. Paid well over $100 for it and I could have gotten a better tray from WalMart for $40. None of the items were quality, the cheeses and crackers were stale, and the presentation was underwhelming. We decided to stop in and give them a try and we weren't disappointed! It's like having mom fix you a meal, homestyle food in a quaint atmosphere. We had the BLT, a Reuben, apple pie, cheesecake and their homemade Poblano Chicken Soup. All we're good but that soup really shined! Each day is a new homemade soup of the day. Cute little place, but was not impressed with the food. I order the avocado toast and Cesar salad. The salad came out quickly but it wasn't anything to write home about. The toast on the other hand took nearly 15 mins to make, only for me to get plan toast with avocado spread on top that was already turning brown. Subpar food, flavors are no better than subway. Dismal portion sizes (literally 1 strip of soggy reheated in microwave bacon) the potato (smaller than a fist) are over priced for what you get. Does not listen to orders, she'll just do what she wants. Don't bother checking reviews on Facebook because its only best friends and old people with five star reviews. Bad reviews WILL be deleted so now ill be sure to leave my review on every food/dining platform I can find. This place claims to be healthy and delicious yet uses the cheapest ingredients and heats things up in a microwave instead of preparing it fresh upon the order. I was hesitant to ever go but wanted to find healthy food in my town (which is what they claim) i made it easy and only ordered sandwiches and all of them were garbage. Not once did we say or write down 1/2 sandwich yet well all got a half. If you can't even make a simple sandwich right then everything else served will reflect that. read more
