We purchased a new 2023 Entegra Class A RV in March. On our very first maiden voyage , May 5th our refrigerator went out. We had a six day trip planned but that changed with no refrigerator. I called La Mesa RV in Phoenix on May 6th and informed them. The service department advised me they could not schedule in until mid-August. Wow, we paid 146K for a new coach and this so how we are going to start off. I then called our salesman who had a service supervisor call us back within 30 minutes. He told us to bring it in on May 10th to get the refrigerator and about 10 other issues fixed. We dropped it off and I was told it would be about two weeks. I informed the service supervisor that we had a tripped planned for the second week of June he said it will be done. Today is June 29, 2023and our new coach is still sitting waiting to be fixed. I then find out last Friday it will be another six weeks for tue refrigerator. So how our very planned trip to Alaska in August had to be cancelled because we don't know when in tue hell we are getting our new coach repaired. I would ask anyone reading this to please take your time and do your homework on La Mesa RV. They do not Honor their word and have terrible customer service. When. customer Relations Employee called me last Sunday after a ten minute call all I heard was it is not their problem. Please please look at other dealers before even thinking about La Mesa RV. I have a good friend who has the same issue on his RV with La Mesa in Phoenix. If I had to do it all over again I would have spent more money at another dealer knowing what I know now about La Mesa RV. Don't buy from them!!!!! We had an amazing experience purchasing our RV from La Mesa. We are out of state buyers and knew just what we wanted. The sales and management team did an excellent job answering detailed questions and helping us get confident to make the purchase from afar. They also didn't harass us, which I really appreciated. The delivery team was amazing. We arrived a day early and with just a few hours notice, the entire team hustled to meet our new delivery schedule. We spent a night in the lot getting familiar with the coach and had all our questions answered. The RV business is so busy right now, I was impressed they could adjust to our schedule so easily. While the RV is not perfect (nothing ever is). It is always a manner of not 'if it will break, but when it will break'. We did extensive research on warranties and did not feel any pressure by finance to purchase their product. In reading the bad reviews I feel like expectations are a little skewed for many buyers/repair. It takes time to get parts, all RV's break (especially the new ones that are not delivered from the factory with everything working). We bought used and knew we would have some tweaks here and there. None of that is the dealers issue. Rather it is an industry wide issue with new RV's almost always having issues. We are very happy with our experience and happy to recommend them to others. read more

We purchased a 5th Wheel in March of 2020 and have had nothing but issues with La Mesa RV Tucson. We use to have Darlene as our service advisor and she was amazing!! But since she's been gone we've had nothing but issues with the service department. The customer service is awful Michael and Edwardo are a joke! Nothing but lies and broken promises. Our 5th Wheel has been in service for 7 weeks now and they still have not fixed everything that is needing to be fixed. Our hydraulic jacks gave out in the middle of a camping trip at the end of April. Mind you this is a 2020 RV so this shouldn't happen a few other things needed to be fixed as well we dropped it off May 5 and we still don't have EVERYTHING done!!! I never write bad reviews, I always give the benefit of the doubt but I feel like upper management needs to see this. Such poor service. I also left Jay Castro Corporate Contact and specifically asked that he contact me directly so that I can discuss some issues we've experienced in the past year and he completely ignored me. Went in there to start looking for a travel trailer, not planning on purchasing, but to start looking and getting an idea, etc. I am leaving this review to say that the sales people were not pushy, which is very important for someone like me lol We had 2 gentlemen approach us (Greg and Ethan i believe) and they were very informative, answered our questions and left us to keep browsing. It was VERY helpful since it will be our first time buying one of these things. Bought a new RV a week ago. Arrived at appointed time to pick up my motorhome. Got two different stories on why it was not ready. An hour and a half later finally got my motorhome. Spare key does not work, microwave not secure, inside rear tire was flat with a nail. Have called every day trying to Schedule service. Finally got a call four days later. Was told the soonest they could get me in was 80 days from now. Wish I had never bought a motorhome from this company! read more

Bought a 3 year old 5th wheel and have had nothing but problems with the fridge for the past 2-1/2 months and we have only owned maybe 3 months, they sent a tech out 3-4 times to try and fix the fridge, and he said it needed to be replaced,. now they want me to bring it in so they can "run tests" on it so they can figure out the cause and either replace the fridge or fix it. Needless to say it came in early and we went to go pick it up only to find out that LA MESA RV increased the sales price by over $32,000. We signed a contract with the sales price. I would give negative stars if I could. Their service is beyond bad. I had to wait 2 months for a service reservation. Ok I get it they are busy. When I arrived they said they didn't have my appointment. And I described the person I spoke with and so on. Their answer was nobody really books scheduled appointments anyway. That after my coach was there a month they finally got it into the shop for the oil change. Great so far. Then as the toilet needed fixed it was another service person and they waited another few weeks to get to that. And then it needed a part. Now i came in with the part number it needed and they didn't order it for 6 WEEKS! Now it's been there several months and no progress. Jessica, Chris, all of them should be fired. They don't return phone calls they lie to you. And they overcharge you. I will NEVER go there EVER again and I hope you don't either. read more

Less than 36 hours after I contacted LaMesa to purchase my 2019 Tiffin Wayfarer, I was in Phoenix to pick it up. While some minor issues were being repaired, the staff treated me like family. A lunch of street tacos, a comfortable place to wait, and frequent updates really made the difference! I love my Tiffin. And am so glad that LaMesa is my motorhome dealer! read more

We are first-time RV buyers... we opted to go with a big-name dealer because they had a big selection, and this was a huge purchase for us-- basically this was the first "home" my husband and I bought together. We'd been to several shows to browse, and at each one we were accosted by sales people who were far too pushy. Like a slimy used car lot, but worse. We got lucky the day we decided to buy: "Ryan the Canadian" is a great sales person, not pushy, answered questions honestly, and left us alone to talk it over. When we decided we wanted to try for financing, another salesperson eavesdropped and offered to get us the finance guy. We didn't realize that this was basically handing the commission to someone who didn't do any work for us. The finance person was just another sales person who filled out the application for us, and after we got a little pushy about where Ryan was in all this, it was decided the form-filler-outer and Ryan would split the commission. Ryan was extremely gracious and just wanted us to have a positive experience. I know it wasn't his fault that his coworkers are sketchy. The form-filler-outer recognized us from our first visit to La Mesa some time ago, so he needed to stop mid-form to show us pictures of his new baby. And congrats to the guy, but there's a million reasons why a young married couple like us don't have kids, and he has no idea what kind of hurt he could be causing by making us look at pics of his new baby and telling us stories. We're already about to buy-- no need to try to tug at heartstrings, pal. When we asked them to make sure the closing took place in Phoenix, because we're in the West Valley, they "forgot" and we had to drive out to Mesa. They gave us $100 in store credit for the inconvenience, but the store is really over priced with a limited selection-- and wasn't open on the day we closed on our purchase (Saturday), so we had to drive BACK to Mesa (another inconvenience) to use the credit. We bought a trailer without owning a truck, and they sure were happy to sell us anything we wanted without the truck... they offered to deliver it, but when it was delivered on one of the hottest days of the summer, and the leveling jacks didn't work properly, the delivery people just shrugged and said they couldn't help us, and to call the dealer on Monday. The pile of owners manuals didn't include the leveling jack system, and it took some frantic calls to Ryan over the weekend (he emailed us the manuals personally) to get any information, and he had the service department call us on Monday. The service person was nice enough to come to us the next day to walk us through resetting/recalibrating the system, but it sure was a long weekend of buyer's regret wondering what kind of ripoff we'd signed up for, before then. Almost immediately after the sale, we received a manufacturer recall notice (in July)... I spent many phone and email conversations with a service manager who continually dropped the ball. It's now October and we still haven't had this issue addressed-- conveniently, that service manager is no longer with the company, so I get to start over fresh with his replacement. One of our concerns is that it shouldn't take days or weeks to get around to something that's 3 hours of work (according to the service bulletin), because we don't want to leave the RV there while they sit on it and don't do the work until it's convenient for them. This is not a safety-related recall, and we should not have to be without our RV for weeks or months (while our warranty ticks away) over a 3-hour job. The sexism among the staff is a bit much: I'm really tired of the "happy wife, happy life" jokes, and I don't know how many times I have had to tell them that my last name is different than my husband's, when they keep calling me Mrs. His-Last-Name. My husband also works nights, so we asked over and over again (at every phone call) that they need to call MY cell number because not only do they wake him up when they call, but he doesn't consciously comprehend the message/missed call until after the close of business, so it delays our communication by a day (or a weekend). When I call them and leave only MY number, they still call HIS number. I finally called their main customer service line last week and asked them what we can do about this issue. They promised that if they physically deleted his number from our file, this was a master record and only my number would exist to La Mesa. And yet today, I finally get a callback regarding the aforementioned recall, but they called my husband's number-- who has been unwell and having trouble sleeping during the day, making his night shift job that much more miserable. Also the caller had no idea about the previous conversations I'd had with the service manager(s). This isn't our last RV purchase, but this was definitely our last La Mesa purchase. read more

I had a terrific experience with the folks at La Mesa RV Center in Mesa. I was concerned about the steering on a motorhome I recently purchased. Rico in sales took it on a test drive and agreed that the steering could be better. He suggested I talk to service about installing the Safety Plus stabilizer. Amazingly, they had the part in stock and could get me in the same day! Mike Legaspy was my advisor. He was very accommodating and suggested that I also get an alignment done (elsewhere as they don't do that). Luckily I was able to get that do e the next day. I now feel much more safe and secure driving my class A. I have never had a better service experience, even at other La Mesa dealers. read more

Back in mid to late October 2020 my husband spoke with a service advisor at La Mesa RV in Mesa, AZ about bringing in our 2019 Forza in for warranty work and recall. The advisor told my husband the earliest we could bring our RV in was December 11, 2020 & an appointment was set up for that day. On December 11th, when my husband arrived at La Mesa RV (after driving from Yuma), they had no record of the appointment & the service advisor no longer worked there. A service advisor, Robert Dealy took over & went ahead did up the work order & kept our RV. The work order has a promise date if January 20, 2021. Over the past couple of weeks, my husband has left several messages for the service advisor to call & give a status update on our RV, with no return calls. Last week, my husband called & left a message for the Service Manager to call & got no return call. We are getting very concerned as to whether we will ever get our RV back. read more

I have owned a variety of camping trailers and motor homes and had the itch to see what may catch my eye so drove about a half hour to La Mesa this afternoon. I had been there before, and figured they would have a nice selection. Upon getting out of my vehicle, an older man, who had been sitting near the parking lot, like a buzzard, drove up and asked me what I wanted. I told him that I wanted to see what caught my eye. He said that he would drive me around on the golf cart as so many units are sold that he didn't want me to get confused. I asked him, aren't the sold units and service units on the other side? His reply, well we only take people around accompanied for the best service, on golf carts. I told him that I didn't think that sounded like fun, as I would not enjoy just looking at the fronts or backs of motorhomes from a golf car that much, so would just pass. He had no more to say when I walked back to my vehicle but drove back on his golf cart, still with an open mouth awaiting for his next victim. Is this what this outfit has become? If so, see you--would not want to be you. I no longer recommend this place. This could have been a fun video clip, so stereotypical, other then the absence of a cigar, and plaid pants, of what turns people away from a bad reputation car lot. Tomorrow I will drive to Mesa, Main Street, and look at RVs at some friendlier RV sales places. read more

I had a short timeline but all the repairs and service items were properly done and on time. I have experienced poor service at other RV repair facilities in the Phoenix area so very happy to discover an excellent facility. Highly recommend. read more

I got called by LA Mesa RV last week saying they were closing the Mesa location, they have had my trailer since July of last year, no communication from Larry who was my service advisor none!!!! There were a couple of employees who were helpful, I have been paying for a trailer that I have had used 3 times, bought it brand new. I had to call the manufacturer who made it to get on LA mesa rv to give ok to fix, they wanted me to be the middle man to call people. As a customer I have been left in the dark about what's going on with my trailer, like I said now I had a guy named Scott calling me saying mesa location is shutting down, I need to get my trailer and get it out of there, as they should take it to the Phoenix location not me. Oh but wait!! I have to wait for a guy name Mike to call me to get me in to have it worked on, I've been dealing with this since July of 2022, paying on a trailer and insurance, to have just sit there with not a care about how they treat people who bought trash trailers they sell and expect you just to be ok with the outcome of the service you are giving. I can't even tell you who I am dealing with or supposed to talk to who is going to be advising me with this situation. Horrible horrible horrible horrible service! read more

Don't go here - very bad service. I brought my coach into the maintenance department as the microwave was not working. A service tech came out and spent 20 minutes with me doing a variety of checks and said the microwave needed replacing. I bought a new one for $450 and installed it. When I returned home, I plugged the "broken" microwave in and it works just fine. I called and asked if I could return the extra one and they said no. This all took place in less than a week so it wasn't a question that it was too long. The bullshit excuse I was told was that they had no paperwork on the diagnosis of the service visit . I don't need two microwaves so its an insult that they said it was a paperwork issue and now I have two microwaves and a bill for $450 read more

Bought a 2020 American Eagle from LaMesa RV..... Ian the sales guy was super helpful( as much as he could be) but good god is the service department a bunch of ree rees!! We took our new coach on 1.... just 1 short weekend trip to flagstaff and it has now been in the shop for almost 3 weeks.... the inside of the coach now looks like a garage,( I'm hoping they clean this, but I'm doubtful) and they cannot seem to get the right number for my husband even though he tells them every time to call him personally, not the other guy in TX. I get it, it's a house on wheels, but the service department cannot seem to give clear answers on very simple questions on how to do something, or how something functions. After reading all the shorty reviews on LaMesa, we will definitely NOT be bringing it here for service again. Service guy told us the generator needed to be serviced every 100 hours.... are you kidding me??? That's a service basically every single trip!! I also have to say, while the bus looks nice in appearance, you can tell it's cheaply made.... flimsy drawers, crappy hardware, cheap countertops, and when we went to pick it up it was full of black dust that they of course didn't clean.... and when my husband had to slap o the breaks in traffic the vanity mirror in the bathroom completely shattered into a million pieces!! He doesn't even know what hit it, he was just driving, so now we have to clean up all the microscopic glass on top of the mess the mechanics left for us!!! Thank you so so much for the mess!!! Things are still not fixed and there are more things that need to get fixed now!! Avoid LaMesa RV at all costs!!!!we paid top dollar for this thing ( over 500k) and this is how we are treated!!! Great location, good selection of inventory - but as for honesty, transparency and doing the right thing this place is terrible. My wife and I stopped in to browse this past Saturday and Douglas came out to greet us. I told him what we were looking for a class C in the range of $40-65k something that will hold value so that we could trade it in in a couple years on a used diesel pusher. He tells us that they just got in a 2008 Diesel Pusher that still needed detailed it was pretty dirty and needs some repairs - but that they had priced it at $47,999. We went and took a look and it was exactly what we were looking for! Sold. Ah not so fast. We go in do all the credit stuff, work out all the deal points. So we are hanging out waiting on paperwork and the manager comes in, sits us down and tells us that they made a mistake. Derrick the manager claims that they transfixed the numbers on the unit - it isn't $47,999 but $74,999 and that the unit being it had been in inventory for 192 days was suppose to be reduced to $72,999. He apologized and asked us if we would like to proceed with the purchase at the list price - $72,999!!! As you can imagine we were pissed. Seriously I just wasted 2 hours of my time, did all the paperwork and they wait till the last minute to tell us they screwed up. I get it people are human they make mistakes - but I wanted that coach. So you offer it to me at retail. You screwed up, it was a mistake I get it. I wouldn't expect them to lose $25k but they could have made a reasonable counter. "Sorry guys we screwed the pooch. Here is what the book on the coach is - we were going to price it at $72k but if you still want it we will do it at $65k plus give you a warranty and free oil changes for a year". Anything. But nope take it or leave it. As we were leaving I realized something. The coach was dirty, needed a bit of body work and some minor repairs - heck it just came on the lot and they hadn't had a chance to detail it or repair it yet ......... but remember Derrick the manager told me that the unit was in inventory for 192 days. I went back into the dealership and confronted him. His story is that it did just come in but was in wholesale for the past 7 months in Davis. YEAH right. Buyer beware! read more

LaMesa in a nutshell. 1) Anything the Service Dept tells you is a lie. 2) Don't buy the overpriced seal coat because it won't be done properly. 3) If they steer you towards Bank of the West, run the other way unless you want an overpriced lawn ornament you can't legally take out on the road. The details: If this were based on sales, it would be 4 stars. If it were based on their service department, I'd have to figure out a way to give them minus stars. We bought a brand new Vilano from LaMesa. They had over a month to go through it and make sure everything was ok. We had an 8:30 AM appointment for our walk through and to transfer stuff from our old RV into our new RV. We arrived and were met with blank stares. Our new rig wasn't ready. We were told to drop the old one and go get some breakfast and they'd be ready for us in two hours. They couldn't check everything out in 40+ days so why did they think they could do it in two hours? We finally started the walk through at 1:00 PM. It was a disaster. He couldn't even show us how to use the oven because they hadn't filled the propane tanks. Halfway through, he gave up. We never did get our walk through so it was up to us to figure out how our new RV works. From there it went completely downhill. My husband and are are both two time cancer survivors and he's had a liver transplant plus open heart surgery. Dealing with their service department was actually worse than breast cancer and liver cancer combined. Hard to imagine but true. I've NEVER seen such incompetence in my life. Every single day was a new lesson in broken promises and ineptitude. We thought it was because we 'only' bought a high end fifth-wheel and not a half million dollar motor home but after six days of talking to our fellow service department 'refugees' it didn't seem to matter. They were just as dissatisfied and frustrated as we were. When signing your paperwork, DO NOT buy the high dollar special sealant coat. They suckered us into that then sprayed it over a dirty unwashed rig. They knew they did a crappy job and even offered to reimburse us but I'm afraid that we're going to end up with finish problems down the road so have to keep it. They also did a horrible job detailing our rig. It took us a while to figure out what the sticky stuff that was sprayed all over our TV screen, walls and cabinets. I'm guessing one of their employees exploded a soda inside and didn't clean it up. It's taken two months but I'm finally getting the last of it cleaned off. Fortunately Vanleigh (Tiffin) has been great to deal with and we LOVE our new fifth-wheel or this would be one of the worst experiences of our lives. The other horrible experience? We took possession on March 20. It's now October and we still have an RV that is unregistered in our state because their recommended lender, Bank of the West, hasn't bothered to submit the title and registration papers to our state. I've spent HOURS on the phone with them since we got home and each time I finally track someone down who even knows what I'm talking about I'm promised that it will be 'expedited'. Apparently my idea of 'expedited' and theirs is vastly different. We are now making payments faithfully every month on an RV that can't leave our driveway because it isn't licensed or registered. Reply to Rand at La Mesa - we heard a lot of that from your Mesa store too but frankly, I'm not buying it. When we finally escaped your torture chamber and got back to the RV Resort we were staying in, we heard the exact same complaints from others who had dealt with LaMesa stores in other locations and in previous years. Your money is in selling them - not getting them ready to go out the door. Your people KNEW that they were applying an expensive seal coat over a dirty rig and didn't care. Now I'm stuck with an expensive shoddy job that has zero chance of being effective in protecting our investment because it was applied over the top of that pernicious Arizona black dust layer. Thanks so much for screwing us out all that money. We may as well have thrown it out the window for all the good it will do us. And speaking of black dust, your detailers can't even wash the floors before the rigs go out the door. Our socks were black and ruined because the floors weren't mopped. I was told they were but 'they just can't get that dirt off'. Your 'professional detailers' couldn't do the job but I could? After we got back to the RV park, I was able to get the floors clean in one try. No more black feet and socks. Funny what a Swiffer and a couple of Huggies wipes will do. You're counting on people just giving up and going back to their homes in the North after they've bought the RV. Four months later, I stand by my review. Five months ago I purchased an RV from CAMPING WORLD. I have never had such a bad experience in my LIFE, from sales, to finance "YES finance", then to service. So I gave up. I wanted to go camping this year "the one thing I love doing in life", so I wanted to leave all the bad behind, and move forward. On to the good review: LaMesa RV. "Mesa location" I called LaMesa RV in Mesa, and I talked to Karl Gwinn "sales" I told him the RV I was looking at. He said it was there, and he would hold it till I could come in the following day. So I went there the following day. Karl greeted me at the door, showed me the RV with NO pressure. I told him I wanted to think about it. He said I would have to leave a $500.00 deposit so I did "100% refundable". I came back today 9-1-18, and I asked him if I could view it alone. Karl said sure, so I did. It was the best experience EVER! I have never felt so relaxed in a purchase. I walked back in to the showroom, Karl was busy. So Ian the store manager took over. I never had to wait! Ian answered all my questions, and gave me assurance that my experience would not be like my last one at Camping world. Then they sent me to the finance office, and I met Lori. She also was not pushy, nor tried to sell me anything I did not want. With in moments she shook my hand, and said I was an owner of a new RV. If I would not have asked questions, and viewed the RV I bet I could have walked in, and walked out with an RV in thirty minutes. Unlike Camping World, and the BS they put you through with all there gimmicks. Five hours at Camping world. I will be picking up my RV next week, or the following. We went to an RV show with these guys at Sacramento's Sleep Train Arena. We were extremely pressured. We tried to leave several times. they put us in a air conditioned motor home so we could get out of the heat. The whole time they sent in salesmen who rambled to keep us there. We kept telling them we wanted to go home and sleep on it. The finance guy came in and really put the pressure on saying he had to have something, it sounded like he was going to lose his job. We finally signed a contract. Mind you they were closed. It was that late by the time we left. We felt coerced. We were exhausted and I was out of it from the heat. The next day we went to cancel and were told there is no cooling off period in California. We ,leaned that California Vehicle Code states that each sales office, cubicle etc requires a sign at least 8" high and 10" wide that clearly states, "THERE IS NO COOLING-OFF PERIOD UNLESS YOU OBTAIN A CONTRACT CANCELLATION OPTION". We are still working on getting the contract cancelled. If you were at the RV show and felt like we did, please write a review, report them to DMV and whatever it takes so we can stop their unethical practices. read more

We purchased our new travel trailer from them back in the spring this year and they've been there from set-up and delivery, to a couple of issues (as expected with new) and they were eager to resolve the problems in a timely manner. Service was HORRIFIC, I would never recommend this place. We took our motor home to their service department with a broken slide on April 11. We told them we would need it by June 1 because we were taking a month long trip leaving June 3. We waited, waited, waited, heard nothing, so finally called them around the first week of May and were told they were waiting on a part. Thanks for the great communications (smurk). The part came in on May 30th and they promised they would put their two best guys on it and have it done for us by 5:00 on June 1. We were thrilled and relieved, made arrangements for the very large payment to them we knew was coming, etc. Sooooooo they call us at 1:00 on June 1 and said the two guys had worked on the wrong motor home and ours would not be fixed. We asked if they could work on it late or on Saturday to no avail - they had a "show" and that took priority over us. I guess they value attempting to get new business over those who already do business with them. Well, they have that one wrong, let me tell ya. So now we have a month-long vacation with no slide. Buyer beware - we would never buy from them considering the service and from now on we'll drive 200 miles or wherever we have to not to use them. Thanks a lot La Mesa. read more

Went there to get educated about motor coaches. Good and bad, was given an introductory your, then left on my own to wander the yard. When I happened upon someone looking they were given a lot more info about the coaches. I have lots of questions about use and maintenance. Wish I had a better experience. Service dept reviews make me nervous about this place. read more

I purchased a new Grand Design travel trailer in Sanford Florida and the slide out stopped working properly after about 9 months. When I called for a service appointment it took 3 months to get in. By that time they told me that it was out of warranty and expected payment. After finally agreeing that it was their delay that caused the expiration of warranty they said the repair was done. I took the rv back and the next time at the campground it was the same problem. After many YouTube videos and searching online I found out that all they did was "synch" the motors by running the slide in and out. Finally I located the slide controller and found out their is a short in the motor. When contacting LaMesa I was spoken to extremely rudely and told I could bring it back but it would cost me. Their service dept. in Sanford Fl is inept and if I'm going to have to pay anyway I will take it to someone I have confidence in. They love to sell you something and then hope they never see you again. I would give zero stars if possible. Never going there again! read more

Stay as far away as possible. Low price is not worth dealing with them. Plus they are not as competitive as they think.
